Visiited Per Diem (the restaurant in Hotel Rock Lititz) for dinner on a Sunday night with family. My cousin and her husband come here frequently with friends, and I can totally understand why - it's got cool vibes & a modern ambience, the staff are friendly, and the menu is great. Enjoyable cocktails too (themed around musical artists, for the most part). We mainly ordered individual pizzas at the table - spicy calabrese and truffle mushroom pizzas among them. I tried both and would recommend either. The truffle mushroom pizza wasn't overwhelmed by the truffle oil and was well balanced with herb ricotta and arugula. Comparatively, the hot honey, roasted red peppers, and red onions on the spicy calabrese pizza offered a balance in texture from the crunch of the onions - and just a hint of kick from the hot honey. Delicious. There's a walkway behind the dining area that includes photographs from some of the tours and shows that Rock Lititz has helped with the stage design for, which is also fun to see. I can assume this place can get pretty packed at times, but it was very chill during our visit and I only wish I had been able to go back again for bunch or dinner or something. I love Per Diem! Since there is not much around, especially if you don't have a car, this is your only choice for good food in the area. It is a great bar and gathering place. I love meeting my friends here and having a beer, cocktail, and glass of wine. The bartenders are excellent, very good and very friendly. Now, the food. I have had a few things here, but to be quite honest, the only thing that I personally like here are the Chicken wings, especially the Amish Dry Rub- they are fantastic. I have tried a few other things here, but I recommend the wings. Your experience might be different, but that's my opinion. I come here every so often, and I have tried different dishes, and I will continue to do so. But for me, the wings are killer. read more

They're usually opened until midnight on the weekends, which is great for after a show at Mickey's Black Box, which is on the same grounds. Most of the seating area is closed after a certain time, but we were able to get a small table and went to the bar to order drinks/food. You get a buzzer so when your food is ready you can go up to the bar to get it. We ordered 2 beers, smashed fingerling potatoes, fried Brussels sprouts and truffle tries all for just $44 before tip. Nice stop after the show for a quick bite before heading to the hotel room. Bartenders were friendly. read more

Second visit to Per Diem. First visit was very good aside from very uncomfortable metal chairs. Most of our drinks were excellent. One of four Old Fashioneds was clearly missing the simple syrup. Instead of replacing the drink, they brought a side a ss. First visit (a month ago) food was very good. Second visit was last night and the food was very disappointing. We had a party of eight and six of our entrees were cold. Not cool, but cold. Two were inedible. Timing was also an issue. We waiting too long between all courses. To the restaurant's credit, they comp'd some of our apps and discounted the rest of our food. A highlight aside from drinks was the tuna app. read more

We ate here twice during our stay at Hotel Rock. All the staff were very friendly, and the decor is very modern and appealing. I would consider this more of a date night spot or girl night, not necessarily a family place based on the vibes and menu. Our dinner was impressive and had us wanting to come back for brunch. My husband and I spent the weekend at Hotel Rock Litiz for a little anniversary getaway. Our first night we made reservations for 5 pm at Per Diem so we could head to a Lancaster ghost tour in time. We arrived and were immediately brought to our table. We were nervous at first because we could see they have those little trendy metal chairs that are the worst for larger folks, but the server brought us to a small round table with a booth on one side and regular chair on the other without me having to say a word. We started with cocktails ( an Aperol spritz for me and a riff on the old fashioned for him) and were brought over two slices of focaccia style bread. There was no butter or spread but one bite and you realize it packed so much flavor butter wasn't needed at all. I went with the coffee bourbon braised short ribs and my husband did the cavatelli Mac and cheese with added short ribs. We also decided to do the truffle fries with bacon jam mayo because we are celebrating and why not. Everything was delicious but shockingly the fries were my favorite. Don't get me wrong, the short ribs were tender and flavorful, but that bacon jam mayo was sooo good and the fries were perfectly crispy. Our server informed us we would get dessert on the house for our anniversary so we went with the brown butter pecan pie. It was more of a pecan tarte with butter pecan ice cream on top, but complimentary dessert is always amazing. Terrible Experience After being seated at a table, we waited about 10 to 15 minutes before our server arrived to take a drink order. I ordered a bourbon on the rocks and my wife ordered a glass of house Chardonnay. The waitress asked if I wanted a double and I said yes, I do not want a small drink. Another 15 minutes went by before she delivered the drinks. My drink was a Woodford Reserve which had one large ice cube in it and maybe 2 ounces of bourbon. Absolutely ridiculous for $16.00. My wife's drink was also very small. However, We ordered dinner and salads. The salads came about 10 minutes later which were served by another waiter. There was no salad dressing on the salads. We got his attention and he then brought some salad dressing. We also had to ask for bread which he brought. The two entrees came about 10 minutes later and I ordered another bourbon and mentioned that the first drink was lacking. The next drink was the same size as the first maybe 2 ounces. By the time we started eating, my dinner was luke warm . The halibut was $32.00 and was perhaps about 3 ounces. When I received the bill there were add ons to the bill , a credit card surcharge of 3%, a TFB Cares charge 1% , whatever is TFB Cares ?..All told it was a $172. dinner and a major disappointment. Had a great date night dinner here. Tried the fried Brussels, which were crispy and flavorful. Meatballs good enough to make an Italian grandmother proud. Lobster ravioli was divine. My favorite dish was the steak frittes. The beef was cooked perfectly and the fries cooked in tallow haa a great old-school French fry flavor. Extra credit to the server, who took the Brussels off our bill because we had to wait to be seated. We've stayed at Hotel Rock Lititz 3x and this is the 1st time having brunch. Boy have we missed out! The Steak and Eggs were just amazing! Must have! The American Breakfast is just that hehehe. My bacon was too crispy for my taste but still good. The party in the next table suggested the Housemade Cinnamon Roll and it was amazing! Could have easily acknowledged the error, apologized and offered a gift card. Instead they double down on "we can't prove you tried to change it". LOVE that this place is open on a Monday! Per Diem is located in the hotel. It's such a chill vibe but absolutely gorgeous. There's a decent sized bar as well as an outdoor patio. We had Olivia as our server and she was AMAZING! She was so kind and super helpful with the menu while helping to make recommendations. The food was fantastic. Such big portions at a great price. We had dinner at Per Diem after making reservations on Resy the night before-- got a table for 3 at 6pm easily. The waitress was accommodating and brought us everything we needed. The atmosphere here is modern. You do feel like you are in a hotel restaurant but we always like the food and the service is good and quick. The dessert was from Fox Meadows, a local creamery. It was good but frozen solid so that detracted a bit. Parking was easy to find and everything was wheelchair accessible. We do enjoy coming here and would definitely come again. read more

Tried to stop here for an early dinner recently. We were told they were extremely busy and we would have to wait at least an hour and a half to be seated unless we had a reservation. I looked around and noticed that only 3 tables had customers, while the other 30+ tables were completely empty; so not quite sure how they were "extremely busy". We decided to just go somewhere else that actually wants to take our money. We went outside and spent about 15 minutes Yelping some other restaurants. In that time there still were no other customers showing up to Per Diem; still tons of empty tables. We won't ever try Per Diem again, and we'll make sure to let others know of our experience. read more

My wife and I shared the Fried Brussels, Caesar salad with mesquite chicken, and the Andreas Chocolate Cake. In addition to the tasty food, especially the brussels, they have a great beer and drinks list. We enjoyed a pleasant evening on the patio (minus the lanternflies) and had wonderful service from Jessica. I was surprised at how slow it was for a Saturday dinner service, but that may be the benefit of being a little bit outside of downtown Lititz. read more

Beautiful restaurant with great ambiance. However, hard to locate if you are not from the area. Should be noted that this is a hotel restaurant. We ate the Brussel sprouts, spinach artichoke dip, seared tuna, lamb bolognese, wings, curry shrimp, and duck birria tacos. The spinach dip, curry, and seared tuna I would recommend. The wings are jumbo so that is a recommend but the Thai sweet chili was bland as well. Overall nice place but the food may disappoint those with more adventurous taste buds. Service was good but overheard a few times staff reporting being short staffed to patrons. Also was not told about specials until after ordering drinks and starters because there was only two specials menues in the whole restaurant because "the printer is broken." Definitely would've gotten the concord margarita instead of a sour ale if I would've seen or heard the specials upon arrival. I do want to give it another try for brunch... Last night my 3 friends and I came here for dinner since we never tried their dinner menu items. The waitress was nice but very inattentive. It took 15 minutes for us to even receive our drinks after she took the order. The person who delivered our drinks was the bartender himself. After we got our drinks we waited close to 25 minutes until we were acknowledged by our waitress again for our appetizer and entree orders. The ONLY reason our waitress even came over was because I was staring at her as she was walking between the front desk and the back of the restaurant and she gave me a look like "oh I forgot about you guys". She took our food order then it took another 25-30 minutes until our appetizer came out. The service was just extremely slow and our waitress only came to check up on us one time after we received our food. We had to ask some random bus-girl to get us more water because we were sitting there with empty water glasses for a while. I understand it was a Friday night and it was super busy, but we could've been acknowledged more often and checked in on. We were there for a total 2 hours and 45 mins because of the slow service and us waiting. If our waitress would've took our order sooner we probably would've gotten our food sooner too. Instead she was chatting with coworkers and standing around when she wasn't attending to other people in the back possibly bigger parties. Food was delicious. We were unhappy that we got there and was seated at 8:15pm and we didn't get food in our mouths until close to 9:45pm. read more

We loved everything we ordered! Not sure what magic they did to the fries and wings. They were delicious but not oily and somehow I feel healthy after eating them. Came here after not having the best luck in town for dinner, and boy were we blown away! Super happy the other restaurants didn't work out because the staff was amazing, food was spectacular, and the ambiance was fabulous. We sat at the bar and weee taken care of by the best bartenders who had such a great energy and flow working together. I tried a milk punch which was so tasty and created with love in-house (clarified milk witch delicious notes of banana and nilla wafers), my husband had a couple of the cocktails and was equally pleased at how tasty they were. For food we started with the corn queso and brussels sprouts with pecans and goats cheese, both so tasty! And for our mains, I went for the steak special with tomato chimichurri and potatoes - absolutely delicious and seasoned to perfection. My husbands got the cobb salad and loved it, the balance of all the ingredients was perfect along with the presentation. We finished with a pumpkin cheesecake, which like the rest of the food, was soooo tasty! We had a lovely time chatting with our bartenders and the other patrons sitting at the bar. BF had the squash cavatelli pasta which had the potential but it was severely undercooked, squash was pretty al dente and the pasta was a little TOO Al dente to enjoy properly. I had the sirloin wih smoked potatos and blue cheese butter which was delicious to be fair :) service as meh, I saw other tables getting good service though so might just depend. No real ambiance to speak of, didn't realize it was connected to a hotel. Nice looking bar though. Probably won't be quick to return though. read more

The restaurant is beautiful, inside the wonderfully designed Hotel Rock Lititz. Trendy and chic. I really enjoyed the Bloody Mary bar. The Bloody Mary mix has a slight kick, which I prefer, and a nice variety of toppings. Bacon, olives, cheese, pickled veggies...splendid. I'm always weary of ordering biscuits and gravy, but I was pleasantly surprised. Homemade biscuits and thick creamy gravy. I added the egg and didn't regret it. Perfect to pair with the leftover gravy that wasn't sopped up by the biscuits. I look forward to trying the dinner menu. read more
