This store is nice in general and has almost everything you could need for hockey. But the staff is incredibly rude and condescending. Whenever you ask for help, they act like you are wasting their time. Any question you ask is stupid to them. Per my tip, this is a great hockey store (but No Sprint reception; so no Yelping inside). The people are always very helpful and knowledgeable about hockey equipment. Even though it might cost me a little more, they're the only people I trust in the area when buying my son new pads, skates or sticks. Also, they do a great job with skate sharpening (which was the reason for this particular visit). read more

Over the past five years, we've spent thousands of dollars at Perani's to outfit our children in their pursuit of hockey. When we've needed equipment, there was never a doubt where we'd go and where we'd recommend our friends and team mates go to get outfitted. Unfortunately, the past two visits have been a far cry from the service and quality that we've come to know with Perani's. On one visit, we were looking for helmets and asked if there would be any sales/promotions available. We were told, "Everything is on sale now." Although we were expecting a more defined answer, like sticks are 10% off now and pads will be on sale at the end of the month, we felt good that "everything" was on sale and we'd be able to save some money over the retail price. So, after finding two helmets for my sons, we got to the register only to be told...."oh, these are not on sale. Everything is on sale except for these." I think that was a pretty poor move on the associates part after he was the one who fitted and got my boys excited about the helmets he picked out. Then, my last visit was on September 21st, picking up some small things and getting two pairs of skates sharpened. The next time both of my sons were on the ice, they were falling left and right. When they got off the ice, they asked what had happened to their skates. Obviously, they must have been sharpened incorrectly. I called the North Olmsted store today (October 1st), explained the issue and was told to bring them in and they would re-sharpen them. Keep in mind, this store is about 35 minutes from my home and I pass by four other venues that sharpen skates but I wanted to give Perani's an opportunity to make it right. Well, after the skates were sharpened, they said they reconsidered and would be charging me for the sharpening! I was shocked at this attitude and, quite frankly feel I'm pretty much done with taking my business and recommending others shop at Perani's. read more

My boyfriend dropped off his hockey skates 2 days ago - they called and said the skates were ready to be picked up. When I arrived at the store an hour later for a quick pick up, I had to wait 20+ minutes when I got there because they forgot to sharpen both skates. After I left I realized they never asked me what type of cut he needed. I'm not impressed with their customer service. read more

Dont go here. I purchased a hockey stick for my son and it broke within the first 3 minutes of the game that same day. When i called to see if we could even exchange it, Rory at perani's refused. I called warrior - they wrote me an email giving them authority to issue us a new stick and they would deal with perani's. Rory was too interested in trying to sell me a new ccm stick. I dont want a ccm stick. I just paid $200.00 for a warrior stick. Beware when buying a stick from them, a lot of kids flex the stick and they wont last long!!!! read more
