Came here with my mom and had a pretty good experience overall. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time, which I always appreciate. I ordered a pepperoni pizza and the fettuccine. The pizza was solid, definitely hit that classic pizza spot vibe, especially since I asked for a pizza stand for a little nostalgia and they came through with that. The fettuccine, though, was a bit lacking in flavor at first. Once I added some salt and pepper, it got the job done--nothing amazing, but still enjoyable. One thing to note: if you're sitting outside, you do have to go inside to place your order, so it was a bit of back and forth. Not a huge deal, just something to be aware of. Overall, this is a good spot. Being in downtown Bradenton and within walking distance for me, it's super convenient. Went here with friends who recommended it. It is located on Old Main St in Bradenton, a quaint area with tree lined streets . There are a few tables outside or you can eat inside. I did not go inside. First negative: my friend said we had to go inside to place our order....(why??) We had sangria, which was served in a tiny bottle that served 4 glasses. The fruit was mainly raspberries but also all round mushy things...? Small grapes or blueberries??? We shared the tomato bruschetta which had pulverized tomatoes-- it wasn't very flavorful and prepared very different than the customary way . I've had unique bruschetta dishes and this failed in my opinion. We ordered a 16 inch pizza with mushrooms, black olives and green peppers. Crust was thin and crispy and pizza was very typical of a NY style plzza. Unfortunately, the employee wrapped the remaining slices face to face ( cheese side to cheese side) in aluminum foil despite my husband specifically requesting it to be placed in a box. We went to eat it today and the slices were stuck together and ruined one slice ( it tore the crust). WTF?! I've never had pizza mishandled this way.( another customer has their leftover pizza boxed). I was a bit surprised by the amount of time it took between ordering and getting the food, since there didn't seem to be that many people there, but I think the pizza probably took a long time in the oven. Went there for the first time Friday night. So good! We got the ravioli appetizer, Goat Cheese Bruschetta, Pizza Favarita, meatball sub, sangria, house red wine and half-n-half tea. Wow!! I cannot wait to go back. We absolutely loved it all! The pizza we took back to our room for a late-night snack. It was so good! Loved the crispy crust. It didn't get wimpy at all. The only reason I'm giving them a 2 star, it's because the first time that I ordered the Italian wrap, it was delicious and the macaroni that they gave you on the side was also delicious. I loved it so much that a couple of days later, I decided to order the same wrap. This time the experience was completely the opposite. The deli meat had a strange after taste, the sandwich was so sub par and the side was not the macaroni, it was some pasta in the shape of rice, which was completely flavorless, even when I added salt. My friend had ordered a cheese steak, which was so flavorless, that she ended up throwing it away. I decided to give them another chance, thinking that the last time was a fluke, since the first time was so great. Well the third time was as bad as the second time. Positives-Very good wines for super reasonable prices. We got a bottle of Chilean Cab that was only $17. My wife got the Cranberry Craze Salad, which was also good, and she topped it with chicken, which was flavorful and tender. Not so Good-We never got any bread and olive oil (didn't realize we were supposed to until looking at reviews/menu today), and I got spaghetti, which was plentiful and cooked OK, but the sauce had absolutely no flavor. I did get a salad with my entree, and it was almost all iceberg, with Blue Cheese dressing that was pretty bland. Service was OK, but a bit slow...possibly complicated with diners spread between outside, in the inside hallway, and in the dining area. Prices for the entrees were very reasonable. Last Saturday after arriving at our hotel in downtown Bradenton, our first choice for dinner had an hour wait with no reservation. Just a few doors away on Main Street, my partner and I were lucky and found this small Italian establishment with no wait and a table for inside instead of outside. The menu has a variety of meals ranging from pizza, lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs, manicotti etc. Our server was Wendy, a family member to the owner Mike, friendly and attentive. We started out with the complimentary homemade bread and its delicious dipping sauce containing olive oil, garlic and various seasonings. Wow it was so good as we were hungry. We ordered Three Cheese Manicotti (homemade pasta, stuffed with ricotta, asiago, & Romano cheeses, and fresh parsley. Topped with red sauce and mozzarella cheese and baked) and Spaghetti & Meatballs (Two homemade meatballs served on a bed of linguine.) The meals were prepared very nicely which they make their own sauce, pizza dough and bread. The prices and portions were very fair. Great people-watching place for a nice lunch spot. Sat outside until we realized people were smoking at the next table. Ugh! Why do restaurants allow smokers to stink up their nice fresh air patios? I had a salmon salad. Sophia ordered the same thing. We're boring I know. It was a special of the day. Pleasantly surprised at how good it was. The goat cheese was especially tasty, as were the strawberries, walnuts, red onions and cucumbers. All served on a bed of greens with a balsamic glaze. Iced tea was served in a plastic tumbler ( another ugh) and priced at $2.25. Fav's has a nice full menu. You can even order pizza by the slice for $2. Came to this place with my family. The service was not very good. The waitress was definitely new at waitressing and it showed. Ordered the goat cheese bruschetta, which was practically marinara sauce with goat cheese. I waited a very long time just to get a pizza. Ordered the pizza favorita- regular cheese pizza with sliced tomatoes and no red sauce. A bit disappointing. Also ordered the tortellini and the sausage and peppers. ( I wanted the lasagna, but they ran out) Unfortunately I did not have a chance to try the food as I waited over an hour just to get the pizza. The kids finished it before we got the dishes.
