I had just bought a small RV in Chico California and was driving it back to Phoenix when I experienced a flat tire about 40 miles outside of bishop. It was an inside dually so I was able to drive it in to Bishop to find that almost all of the tire shops are closed on a Saturday afternoon - except Perez who is also open Sundays! Perez had my, hard to get, tire in stock. While they only had the one, they saw that my other tires weren't going to last too long on the highways in the extreme triple-digit heat. Got a flat tire on the 6-hour drive home from Mammoth to Orange County. Google said they closed at 5, we got there 3:30 and found out the online hours were wrong. Our mechanic said he'd change our tire anyway, despite it being long past closing. He was very friendly and the tire change only took 20 minutes!!! Reasonably priced as well. read more

We got a flat tire in Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest and were still hours from home and couldn't drive all that way on our spare, so we pulled in at around 3 o clock. This tire shop was awesome! We were coming home from a girls camp in Mammoth & my tire was popped by a rock. Came to Perez Quality Tire. They met us in the parking lot (we had called) & took care of us in less than 15 minutes. We are talking greeting, removing popped tire, gave options, put on new tire, took off back wheel to put up front for pulling, new tire went to back position, & putting our temporary back in its position under the truck. I have heard a lot of good stuff about Perez Quality Tires so I called them yesterday and asked if they do brakes and they said yes and wanted me to bring my Jeep in right away so the brakes could be looked at and see what it would take to get my Jeep going good again. I told him I lived in Lone Pine and couldn't just drive on down so he took my information and said he would call around to see if there were gonna be the right parts available to fix my Jeep. I was on my way to Mammoth, and I wiped out one of my rims on a piece of lumber that was in the roadway. I stopped in a couple of the towns and they didn't have anything that could help me, and I didn't want to ride the bicycle tire spare up there. This could easily be a five star rating except for one thing; I cannot seem to be able to get a detailed receipt from them. On Sunday, July 24, we blew a tire on our RV in Lee Vining. I called auto club who informed me the nearest tow truck driver was 5 hours away. They informed us we could have the problem take care of "out of network" and we might qualify for some kind of reimbursement. In order to make that happen I need an original itemized receipt. The gentlemen who provided the service gave me a credit card receipt and said they would mail me the official one. After several phone calls and text messages to the owner, I have not received the receipt I was assured of getting. It is now September and I am running out of time to file a claim with auto club. It seems once they got my money, they were done. I am disappointed, to say the least. read more

Giovanni and Perez's tire shop is a lifesaver. Was heading up from LA to Mammoth and had a tire that unexpectedly imploded 100 miles out from Bishop on a late Friday night. Had to get towed into Bishop and luckily our tow truck driver recommended Perez as the go-to place as they are open on weekends. Stopped by the shop early in the morning and first plan was to replace the tire, however due to the nature of my tire being very wide, nothing was available and would take about 3-4 days to arrive. Was bum out by this because this meant I'd have to get towed to my nearest dealership which would have been all the way in Sacramento. Fortunately, Giovanni saw the disappointed look in our faces and thought of another alternative solution. While the original tire size wasn't available, he did have another size tire that would work and got us back on the road within 30 minutes. Giovanni was the true hero who turned our Mammoth trip from being a disaster into a success. Definitely would recommend Perez for any tire needs in Bishop. read more

I would give Perez Tires a zero but yelp wont let me. Went to them because they were the only tire shop in town that had a 12 inch galvanized boat trailer wheel (it ended up being used, not new). Bought the wheel and what the man said was a radial towing tire for a hundred dollars. A new tire and galvanized wheel with shipping is under $60 on line, He new I was in a pinch. Ends up the tire is bias ply not radial and the rim is not galvanized but painted. When I went back and asked them to show me where it said on the tire it was radial things went bad and he said the guy he bought the tire from said it was a radial. The man does not even have any tire knowledge. He then told me to get off his f------ property. I suspect that this business and this jerk I dealt with are both illegal and I strongly suggest that you find somewhere else to do your tire business. It is sad that a person feels it is ok to rip people off if they are tourists or in a pinch. I am a local and will refer anyone I can to stay away from Perez Tire. read more

Twenty minutes later I have two excellent new back tires installed and ready to go. Very reasonable price. Stress gone. Two days later I rush back to L.A. to write this review.
