Not only did I have to go back and get my nails fixed, but there's a huge spot of what looks like fungus on my nails! Stay Away!

Not only a terrible job, but this definitely looks like a fungus on my nail! it looks like there's a bruise on my middle finger.

The line in the middle of my ring finger nail and the blood at my cuticle because they cut me.

After moving to Poughkeepsie for a few years I have moved back and wanted to go back to my go-to nail salon. I went today on Sunday around 1pm and I was the only person there! Great! Covid safe and they wouldn't rush through my nails I thought. I asked for black French tips on my natural nails. The woman doing my nails wasn't wearing a name tag but she had a short bob haircut. She was very rough with my nails from beginning to end. I have thin nails to begin with and when she filed off the initial ANC powder she was using the machine and I could feel my nails getting hot and burning because she was going too far down. I stayed quiet though. Then when she pushed my cuticles back she was so rough I started bleeding on one nail. I didn't notice until the end. She just continued to be rough the entire time and did my nails in such a strange way. I don't know why she used ANC powder to do the French tip. You can see all the powder specks in my nails and they're uneven. Then to top it all off she cut underneath my thumb nail with the drilling machine so badly I was bleeding A LOT. After that I asked if I could wash my hands because I didn't want to get any debris in the cut and she told me no??? Then she buffed my nails and let me wash my hands. After putting the top coat on I was looking at my nails and she yelled from across the salon "DONT TOUCH YOUR NAILS! DO NOT TOUCH!!" Even tho I was just looking at them so I yelled back "IM NOT, IM JUST LOOKING!" She quickly put lotion and a towel on my hands and gave me the receipt. Didn't say thank you or have a nice day or anything, whatever. Went up to the cashier where the owner said "$40" I explained that I was bleeding on 2 nails and a few were messed up and was hoping for a discount. He just looked at me and handed me a few cards for future discounts and a loyalty program stamp card. So after a few minutes of awkward silence I said "So how much?" And he said "$40" He wasn't even going to knock any money off!!! I'm sorry but that's insane. If you get a messed up order at a restaurant they give it to you for free. I was literally BLEEDING and they offered nothing and didn't even say sorry. He knocked it down to $35, I paid and left. He didn't say have a nice day either. Disappointed is an understatement. I have gotten my nails done maybe 5 times over the pandemic for safety reasons, always wear a mask and am polite, and today it was to celebrate being done with moving and they treated me so badly. Cutting a customer where they're BLEEDING on 2 nails and not even saying sorry is ridiculous and horrible customer service. If this was my mom she would have cursed them out and left without paying a cent, they're lucky it was me and not her lmao Anyways, go somewhere else. Unfortunately this isn't the place anymore. I would have considered giving them a break if they at least said sorry or have a nice day or seemed to care but they didn't.

Received a spa pedicure and while they were busy and the guy was working quickly, it was just what I needed. Almost didn't come because of the reviews being under 4 stars, but worth a stop if you need a service. Posting 5 stars so people don't skip this spot at least for a pedicure.

Beautiful nails. I love it! I took my daughter there and we love our nails. Sophia and Eddie are very detail with the design. Tina is super creative with color scheme!

I went to perfect 10 nails for the first time and had a great experience. I went in unsure of what I wanted but my technician was so patient and nice. Before she did my nails, we decided the price and it did not increase throughout. She also took her time and ultimately did a beautiful job on my nails! Definitely will be my go to salon!

This place does not even deserve one star. To start off, they were extremely rude and rushed me to pick my color. The lady doing my nails was extremely rough. She cut four of my fingers badly and they kept bleeding! Not acceptable. They do not care about customer service or how the nails turn out. I do NOT recommend going here.

On the other hand, cutting out that hour and a half drive to get to her (I'd catch up with a bulk of other errands while I'm at it) gives me some serious time and energy while I'm closer to home. Plus not having her around ;-( gave me a chance to branch out and look for a nail salon in Kingston. A bunch of the low Yelp ratings I saw for other nail salons elsewhere had huge red flags: bad technique, rushed jobs, or even unsanitary tools. The way I see it, when it comes to personal care like nails, you definitely want to see high ratings and consistent praise. I mean, don't you? While Pretty X only has one review, that was enough to bring me here. I honestly came here on a whim. Pretty Xo is dreamy, soft, welcoming and clean. The space has a minimalist-chic feel with their airy, beige walls, flooring is done in blonde wood planks and faux florals adding a touch of color. I started with Lily for my manicure who was super gentle, which I really appreciated. Then Yan took over for my pedicure. She wasn't so frilly- but definitely not rough- just the right amount of strength and attention for my legs. She took her time, especially with trimming and from there, it was all uphill. It's not only about aesthetics (though it's important to me)- it's also about hygiene, safety, and someone working up close and personal on your hands and feet. The $63 price tag is a bit more than what I used to spend, but honestly, it was worth it for the serene and relaxing atmosphere.

I love my nail tech in White Plains so much- I wish I could clone her so she can deliver the same expertise and care in my neck of the woods. Keep dreaming, Mercedes. Keep dreaming. Beauty Depot on Wall St in Kingston, NY doesn't scream like the place where you can relax and be pampered- but they were able to fit me in on a Sunday with Lexie. My pedi session with her kicked off the usual polish removal, filling, etc. who turned out to be super patient, unhurried and smooth with her hands. For my regular, short-length nails, Lexie provided essential nail+cuticle care, lotion massage, a hot towel wrap and nail polish application. I'm not one to bitch about money when it comes to any of my beauty regimen- but the $50 for both my mani+pedi here- in this trendy side of Kingston is more than what I paid while living in White Plains. Plus theres no attention to detail and it's unkept. Whether it's a facial I'm getting, massage or whathaveyou, I'm not paying just for the end result, I'm paying for the experience- which I didn't get at Beauty D.

The first woman did the prep and it seemed like she was being taught by the second woman how to do acrylics but the second woman clearly also doesn't know what she's doing. Attached are pictures of the atrocity "fill". After applying bricks of acrylic to my simple fill, the first woman started trying to shape them. I asked her to make them not so thick and she wasn't understanding so a man, a third person, came over trying to salvage the mess. I've been getting acrylics for 20 years... never have i experienced this. I eventually insisted on paying and going elsewhere because it was that bad. At the end he didn't have me pay, which was the right thing to do, so I went to New Style down the street and they thankfully fixed the hack job that came out of J's. On top of the nail techs clearly not knowing what they're doing at J's, the salon is DISGUSTING. No proper sanitation, it's dirty on the floors, walls, and stations, there are huge cob webs everywhere, wallpaper peeling off the walls. 0/10 do not recommend. Worse than Sunshine in Rhinebeck, which is saying a lot. Also- was overhearing a girl raising concern because they wanted to charge her like $40 to fix ONE nail that had broken. Insane.
