Then I saw the incredibly bright, smiling faces of teenagers who are behind the lot's magic. They waved at me and ushered for me to come over so I did. They explained the science behind tree maintenance and even recommended trees based on the amount of light in my house. Simply put, this family-owned business is amazing both for their product AND customer service. They've kept us coming back for the last 4 years. Mom's is lucky to have the high ceilings, where a typical 7-8 footer would look lonely. Lol DeAndre and William did a great job of delivering the tree, (my days of moving those kind of trees died 4 years ago!) and Dana (Dan's daughter) is the maestro on the phone handling deliveries and other communication. When I tell you they consistently obtain trees of superior quality for more affordable prices, it's no exaggeration. I'm a fan of any family owned business, and it just so happens that this one is black owned. If our health holds up for another year, will certainly be back! We came late on a Saturday and a lot of trees were sold, but there was still a good amount of inventory. This was the first week in December, so they're busy. We chatted with the owner's son who said his dad has been in business over 40 years! They're get inventory from Canada and Oregon, among other places. Friendly service and reasonable prices. You can pay cash or card, which is great. We got a Doug fir for $55. The re-usable base was $30. They also sell single use bases for $10. They strapped the tree to the roof of our car, laying down cardboard first as to not scratch it. Enjoyed the experience overall. This will be our go-to place. If you want to shop local instead of a big store, check out Dan's.
