The service inside the store was ok. Some staff are willing to help while some seemed to be locked up doing whatever they are doing without paying attention. They have a large selection for most things. They no longer carry corner tiles. Value: Its a hit or miss. Let me explain. While the value is good because you are able to find most of the items needed for any project, yet no value out in the parking lot. In the parking lot, it seemed like there are more people outside the store than there was inside the store. 1) there are people looking for work, 2) there are people asking for money (seems like they are also a lookout to see anything of value in the vehicles, 3) a few out looking what to steal, and 4) ladies selling sandwiches. As I was walking towards the store with my father, I felt something off and decided to go back to the car. I'm glad that I did. There was a person asking for money as well as looking into other peoples vehicles. So when going to this location, make sure you go with someone else that could stay in the vehicle while you shop. read more

An employee named Nobel (in Perris) went out of his way to help me find what I was looking for. He stopped what he was doing and searched through the whole store and database to locate an item I could not find. It probably took 15-20 minutes but he smiled and had a great attitude the whole time. He is a perfect example of a hard working employee. Home Depot should reward him for his work ethic. When a location gives wonderful customer service, it has plenty of parking and it never disappoint you would prices or availability, it deserves an updated review. This Home Depot never fails to deliver. I've always liked to go out to their what I like to call greenhouse location. They have a beautiful selection of succulents. For my mom she was in heaven of course because that's one of her favorite plants. Home Depot -- 20740 US HWY 281 NORTH CABINET SECTION: I went to Home Depot today and was looking for a white glass cabinet to match my BESPOKE refrigerator (this was between the hours of 12:30 and 1:00. There was a tall guy in the area who basically when I asked questions did not engage and just sent me to the back to look at the cabinets on my own -- then he left the area never to be seen again. Customer service was absolutely horrible. DOOR SECTION: Ethan in the Doors section of Home Depot was great. He listened to what I needed and was very helpful and attentive. REFRIGERATOR SECTION: The person in the refrigerator area -- I think his name was John -- he was so helpful at helping me trying to match the color of the BESPOKE refrigerator to the color of the cabinets that I wanted. I had the pleasure of working with Christian, he took my order and went to that department to make sure they had the Kohler toilet and had it brought up so it would be available in the am. i give him all the information of my plumber name and number. First of all, Ramón assistant manager deserves the five stars.. He was amazing at helping me get the 8 bags of concrete that I was shorted in my home delivery. The store was crazy on July 3rd. I had been working all day on building a concrete wall. I was about 6 feet short and needed 20 bags to get the job done. I was panicked and needed help right away, because I literally had concrete drying 2 miles away. I couldn't wait throb customer service to get the 8 bags plus the extra 12 etc. Every line, everywhere was long and out of control. Thankfully, Ramon actually understood and empathized with my situation and helped me pay for the extra bags and load up all the bags and I was home in 20 minutes versus an hour. I was ordering flooring for my front room. I placed my order and there was an issue with my payment, old expiration date on credit card. They didn't inform me and when the delivery didn't come I found that out a week later. I fixed the expiration date and placed the order. When the order was shipped and coming, I was tracking my order and the next thing I know the tracking said refunded. When I called and sat on hold, I was advised that they chose to cancel my order because they only shipped 25 out of my 29 box order. They offered to put in another order and a shipping day a few days later, I asked that it will still be delivered into my house in my room of choice and was told yes. When I looked at the e-mail only shipped to my front door step. I called and they said they can't do that anymore, but if I do it online, maybe I could and that was an option. The problem comes with my credit card has now been charged twice, so now I have $4000.00 tied up waiting for my refund and to order another 29 boxes, I have no space left on my credit card to order the flooring for another 7-10 days. I made sure I had someone home to accept the flooring and let them in. Now once I get my credits, I can order my flooring, hopefully they will still have it in stock. My initial order they had issues with was no longer available, so I found another style that I liked. At that time thy had 708 in stock, looking today they have 248 in stock. Can't wait to see what will be available in a week. Home Depot is certainly not a company to rely on. read more

Based just on their customer service, this review could be as low as 1-star but this product is a great value (4-stars). Cabinets come pre-assembled; that's an excellent design. I just had to unpack, attach units to each other and to wall. Powder coating has a great finish and wall units have little pneumatic cylinders that make lids close slow and quietly. So all-n-all Frontier makes a great product for only $1000. Yet Home Depot customer service is repeatedly unhelpful. First, they will not allow you to reserve a truck for pick-up. It is 1st come/1st serve. Result is repeated visits to avail. (ugh) Secondly some damage occurred during shipping. No convenient way to report this online, so I call for help. She says "just return it to store"? Wait, this comes in two 200lb boxes, 6ft tall and truck rental is 1st come/1st serve. (ugh) Why not deliver replacement of the damaged piece, or offer a store credit, or even offer way to fix the damage? Home Depot seems to completely fail to grasp the concept customer service. It is inexplicable for a large retail store. I'll definitely use Amazon or Walmart for my next purchase. Shopping in the Reno store at the Summitt has always been such a good experience for us. We live in Donner Springs so we go out of our way to shop there. Reason is the employees always seem happy, and are friendly.I have had experience working with James, who is beyond any great customer service. Saul was the one that helped us with our experience buying a new stove. He was friendly, very personable and thanked us for shopping there. He made our day special by assisting us with a problem that we had. We also made a comment about Richard in the linoleum, section. Bob assisted him and also had a very nice personality. One of there co workers assisted them and Bob thanked her and made such a nice comment working withe her. People do not take things like good customer service for granted. Once asked to see my receipt even as she watched me scan all of the items , she examined the receipt that had 3 items with such scrutiny as though the longer she stared at it, the words would magically change. This is a heads-up for anyone ordering appliances currently. Twice Home Depot has sent me an email with a delivery date, followed with an email the day before giving a four-hour window. Twice they have not shown up. Twice they have not called, emailed or texted that the delivery was postponed until a week later. I called the customer service number and was told that their records show a call the evening before from a 510 number with a voicemail. I received no phone call and received no voicemail alerting me to postponed deliveries. I can only hope that the next two deliveries come off on the date scheduled. After that, I will not order anything I need from Home Depot. I hope I can save anyone else with a work schedule they have to rearrange to wait for a delivery Home Depot said they were going to make during a four-hour period only to discover that you were not informed that the delivery was postponed for a week so you could rearrange your schedule again. read more

Worst customer service experience for an appliance purchase. Something that should have taken 10 mins max (i had the model # ready) turned into an almost 1 hour ordeal because of the incompetence of the employees, and their outright refusal to hear what I had to say. My order was passed around FOUR different people, none of whom knew what to do with my order nor refused to actually listen to what the circumstances of the order was (applied for a CC online and needed to pay in person for a split payment due to credit limit being less than total sale.) When I requested assistance from a manager, I was outright refused TWICE. I had to basically walk the employees through THEIR screens in order to get my order through. Also noticed a cashier next to me, older lady with long curly gray hair, was humiliating her customers and talking down to fellow employees in a similar fashion. Here we go again. Deborah significantly disrupts my shopping experience. I would not object to an additional fee for the presence of a cashier to prevent being targeted, profiled, or harassed during transactions. The issue with Deborah resurfaces as I am scanning my items. I glance over my shoulder, and she is there, resembling a floating head, monitoring my every move and causing considerable discomfort. After the self-checkout payment is processed, I asked her if she wants to review my receipt. Deborah states that it doesn't matter; either way, she could print it out. I mention that the cash register is the final point of purchase. As I start walking away, sure enough, she prints a copy of my receipt and,, creating an unwarranted intrusion into my privacy. This breach raises concerns about the handling of my purchase information, particularly regarding the disposal of the receipt.
