It's the same dishes you've had at a dozen other Mexican restaurants around the city. Nothing on the plate made anyone at our table lean over and say "Okay, you have to try this." For what they're charging, you'd hope for at least one moment like that. Didn't happen. The one thing that genuinely bothered us was that we told them ahead of time that someone in our group had a spice allergy. Not a preference, an allergy. We were pretty explicit about it. It didn't seem to matter much. That's the kind of thing a restaurant really needs to get right, and they dropped the ball. Service was actually okay, though, to be fair. No real issues there, the staff were friendly and attentive enough. So there's that. But honestly? Houston has too many good options to settle for an overpriced average. If you're craving Mexican food, there are places in this city that will blow your mind for the same money or less. This just isn't one of them. We might swing by again someday if we're nearby, but we're not going out of our way.

This location is tucked away at the end of an outlet just outside Sam Houston Parkway. The interior is very clean, and there is plenty of seating inside and outside. The staff is generally friendly. They walk you through all the ingredients/sections to build your ideal salad or wrap. At this location the person operating the register always asks if I have reward points. I like this because I could easily forget to scan my member number. This person takes my phone number and lets me know my point balance which is also nice. Some tips: Don't be scared to ask for all the ingredients you want. You can even ask for extra scoops of dressing. There are nuts, seeds, and bacon near the soup... you can put this in your salad too. I get so many components I don't feel the need to add a protein. Instead I add egg and bacon as my protein, and it doesn't cost extra. Also, ask for pita chips or bread as you're checking out. These are also complimentary. I would consider downloading their app and joining their rewards program as you can earn $5 off your next meal. Also, on your birthday you are given a $12 credit to Salata. Cheers!!

I've tried about three different Thai places in Houston and this might be the best drunken noodle I had in Houston so far. Khao soi - the beef was very tender; crunchiness of the noodles added great texture. Wings- was on the happy hour menu, the sauce is bright and complimented the wings well. Green chives pancake - not your standard pancake but crispy and paired with dipping sauce delicious. Staff were very kind and attentive! There's street parking around the area. Ambiance is cozy and dim, great for a date night or a girls night out for a casual dinner. On the louder side! Definitely coming back!

Service was iffy towards the end, there was a lot of delay/miscommunication in receiving our check and takeout order. For food- everything runs a little salty but flavors are really great. Also beware of the spice! - Garlic chive pancakes: recommended by our server, was super crispy outside and gooey inside. Reminds me of a Korean pajeon flavor. Super interesting dish! - Lump crab: lovedd this dish. Lot of coconut and lime notes in the sauce, this was my favorite. - Crispy pork: super crispy and tender. Huge fan of this dish. I actually like dipping this in the cream sauce from the mushroom dish. - Fried mushroom: was good but a bit heavy. - Tuna tartare: very spicy! I wasn't a big fan personally.

Service and Atmosphere: The young lady at the counter was sweet and listened attentively when I explained that I needed to speak with the Manager and why. She didn't hesitate, she went and called her manager whose demeanor was quite inviting and pleasant. I couldn't have asked for a better experience from such a kind, patient, and understanding human being. We need more people like Chris, the Manager at Panera on Fairmont in Pasadena. I would rather travel to a farther Panera location than to visit the one near my home in order to be treated with dignity and respect. I am now a new and loyal customer of THIS Panera! You do check in and put a card down, and they give you a tasting card that lets you sample different wines at various pour amounts. Such a cool and fun concept! We arrived during happy hour (I believe it's from 4-7 PM), which was perfect. The space itself is super cute and cozy. When we first arrived it wasn't too crowded, but it definitely started filling up closer to 6 PM. For happy hour, we ordered several appetizers to share between the three of us: shrimp, Brussels sprouts, and truffle fries -- all were SO good. Later, we ordered two steaks with fries, which were amazing and came with a buttery sauce that really took them to the next level. I also ordered the lemon pepper buffalo wings, and those were absolutely delicious as well. The service was great, especially considering there were only about two or three people working. Everyone was attentive and friendly. If you're a wine lover, you'll enjoy the wine selection. I'm a big Pinot Noir fan, and while there was only one Pinot option, I loved it so much that I kept going back to it. The wine tasting option made it easy to try a few others before deciding. Prices were very reasonable -- not overpriced at all -- especially for the quality of the food and experience. We didn't make reservations and were able to walk right in, though I'd recommend reservations if you're going later in the evening since it does get packed. Roots is located right across from some apartments in the EADO area and made for the perfect girls' night out. Great food, great service, great vibes. I would absolutely recommend this place and will definitely be back!
