I used to see this place growing up, I used to attend the middle school next door, and I always heard about the amazing sandwiches and burgers from Joes. I always asked my mom to try the spot next to my school but we never were able to give it a go. 15 years later here I am trying for the first time, FINALLY! This place gives such a homie feel! This was my favorite place to order from because of the excellent customer service but I placed an order earlier today over the phone for my son's friend and their service isn't what it used to be. Aaron took my order and he was so rude, I was used to the great customer service from Joe and his son but I didn't receive that from Aaron over the phone, he kept asking me if I was done ordering after every thing I would say and being rude. Joe the owner was behind the counter and greeted us with a big smile and hearty hello when we walked in the door. I had the Anaheim and it was delish. Bread was great, chicken was tender and warm and the avocados were perfectly ripe. They don't have a soda machine but have lots of refrigerated canned and bottled options, and Hoe will give you a big cup of ice for your drinks if you ask. Things slowed down after we got our food, and the owner came over and chatted with us while we ate. He was so nice and personable and we loved hearing about his golfing adventures and more. Next time we have to fly into Houston Hobby we will be sure to come by and grab a bite to eat again! Joe and his staff are the epitome of Texas hospitality! read more

The chili and gumbo were excellent. Profits are certainly not spent on the repairs, decorations, or furniture. The tables and chairs are plastic patio furniture. The decorations are golf related. The owner must be an avid golfer because there was a lot of score cards on the walls. Despite the looks the food is excellent. Came back again and had the Joe's Cheesesteak and fries.
