First visit tonight and this is proper Texas Barbecue. We ordered a Brisket Sandwich with a side of Mustard Potato Salad and a drink ($17.50) a Brisket plate with baked beans and macaroni and cheese ($18), and a Two Meat plate with brisket and sausage with sides of cream corn and fried okra ($21). We also tried the cornbread which was perfect, moist, slightly sweet and yummy. The brisket was pretty nice, you can order it moist or lean. The sausage was a nice consistency and nice taste. The cream corn was nicer than I remember cream corn, the okra was. Crisp and tasty, the macaroni and cheese was creamy with a subtle taste. I would prefer a stronger taste and a bit less creamy...but still good. The baked beans were pretty perfect. Great flavor and consistency. We interacted with three staff members and all were very nice, friendly and helpful. This is a recommended restaurant to visit. read more

When you are called "The Brisket House" in Texas you have to bring it. And I can say that it delivers. The brisket was moist and had that sweet smokiness. The ribs were a bit on the dry side but tasty. Sauce was a bit on the ketchup side so definitely get it on the side. Wife had the smoked chicken wings. She loved the smoke bark they had. The cream corn was delicious, also the smoked beans. Corn bread was tasty, but I would had loved some honey with it. Wife really liked the banana pudding so give it a try. Service was fast and friendly. It's a stand up and order type of place, no waitress. The ambience is really a hall with chairs and tables. It looks like they just took over from a restaurant from the 90s and never touched the decor. They did put some big Texas flags so C, and you know what they say C's get degrees! It was okay , not what I expected from a Texas bbq spot. Brisket was cold/luke warm service was ok but the blue eyed girl was intimidating lol. I have been coming to this Brisket House location for 7 years. It has always been consistently good, the service is friendly and it's clean. Today, I had the turkey and bacon salad with Italian dressing. The ingredients are always fresh, and it has quite a bit of turkey on it. If you're feeling more adventurous, try the PB&J sandwich, but I recommend cutting it into quarters. Otherwise, you're likely to make a mess like I did. Lol read more

This was my first visit, and I have to say, it lived up to all that I had heard. Like many barbecue spots, you walk in, place your order at the counter, and take a seat while your food is prepared. The service was friendly, and the food came out quickly. The brisket was moist and tender, paired perfectly with the creamy macaroni and cheese and flavorful loaded mashed potatoes. My one-meat plate came with two sides, pickles, onions, and a slice of white bread. I also tried the banana pudding, which featured fresh banana slices--a definite plus. While it wasn't overly sweet, the custard was missing a bit of flavor. Someone at my table had the chopped beef sandwich with coleslaw and baked potato salad and talked about how good it was. This is some of the best brisket in Houston. Maybe even the best. The price is a bit on the expensive side, but I don't think you will find better brisket for less. I ordered pound and a half. They gave me the more fatty brisket, which I'm fins with. I'm sure you could ask for lean if you want. It's $14 for a half pound. They gave me a bunch of pickles, onions, and bread to go with it. This place is extremely clean ! Fast service. Their food presentation is amazing and I can say it was just as good. The brisket was juicy and tender cooked to perfection. This is an awesome place to eat bbq at. The brisket is great, just the right tenderness and fatty content. The bbq sauce is peppery and sweet just the way I like it. The cashier and I just kind of stared at each other until I started ordering my food. We ended up ordering the 3 meat platter with brisket, turkey, and St. Louis style ribs, w sides of mac and cheese and green beans to share. That meat was the turkey and brisket were phenomenal. First off, I want to say the food is always good and is/was the only place we'd get our barbque in Deer Park. But our experience with the service on Sunday, June 1 wasn't a good one. My husband ordered a 3 meat plate, beef, ribs & sausage, to go. It was 4o'clock in the afternoon, Not busy. When he got home, it was a surprise to find his 3 meat plate, that he paid for, had 3 very small pieces of sliced brisket, and 3 ribs. No sausage. He called and asked about it, after some exchange from the girl who answered the phone and whoever was in the back (all in spanish), he was simply told that, "he said he doubled up on the ribs". And that was that! No apology, no offer to make it right...nothing. I don't know if this was a fluke, or if this is how they are going forward, but I never minded the prices, because this was one of our "treats" we gave ourselves. But good food has to be hand in hand with good customer service. It has to be a good experience....this wasn't. So, I'm not sure if, even after all this time, we'll be back. read more

I went in for take out on 4/23 around 2:40p and ordered the 3 meat plate with brisket, turkey, and jalapeno sausage...in that order. What I got was jalapeño sausage, turkey, and a chicken 1/4. I believe I received about 5 small slices along with a slab of cheddar, which I thought was unnecessary, a whole pickle and a 1/4 hunk of onion. Ok, so the meat was exceptional! The meat fell off the rib, so tender and great smoke! I just didn't understand the rest. For $15 I'd expect to get more than 1 rib and a taste of brisket. There really wasn't much service. So I was having some pregnancy cravings and sour cream I mean loads of sour cream on a baked potato is exactly what baby wanted LOL... knowing I can always count on the best loaded potatoes from brisket house I decided to order on door dash.
