From beginning to end, the meal was fantastic along with the service. Staff were incredibly friendly and help with recommendations. It is a bit crammed inside the restaurant and we were sat at a high top so we had limited space. Each plate was packed with flavor. There's not doubt why they have received so many awards.

Interior is way different than I expected from the outside view. Very modern aesthetic, good for a date. Service was iffy towards the end, there was a lot of delay/miscommunication in receiving our check and takeout order. For food- everything runs a little salty but flavors are really great. Also beware of the spice! - Garlic chive pancakes: recommended by our server, was super crispy outside and gooey inside. Reminds me of a Korean pajeon flavor. Super interesting dish! - Lump crab: lovedd this dish. Lot of coconut and lime notes in the sauce, this was my favorite. - Crispy pork: super crispy and tender. Huge fan of this dish. I actually like dipping this in the cream sauce from the mushroom dish. - Fried mushroom: was good but a bit heavy. - Tuna tartare: very spicy! I wasn't a big fan personally.

I've heard so many good things about street to kitchen over the past few years and since then they've even gotten michelin bib gourmand recognition as well. I went once when they were at their original location a few years ago but wasn't blown way. However, I always usually like to try restaurants twice before officially deciding whether or not I like it. I went again recently to their new location that is much bigger and nicer. We made a reservation about a week in advance. Drunken noodles: 3/5 Green curry: 3/5 Crispy pork belly: 4/5 Grilled chicken: 3.5/5 Overall, the food is good but it doesn't blow me away. I have eaten at many other casual thai restaurants around town that have pretty much similar if not even sometimes better tasting food.

Street to kitchen has a great Thai bistro vibe and the staff including the manager checks on every table personally. They make traditional Thai dishes that are absolutely to die for with big bold flavors and flawless execution. I ordered then fish and it was one of my favorite dishes in Houston.

From the old location to the new, still deliciously spicy and a favorite spot. Still pretty far for me though, so visits are rare. We've been through a good part of the menu, trying everything from apps to noodles to soup to the new STK board full of grilled meats and an array of sides. Some favorites are the garlic chive pancakes, khao soi, crispy prawns and tiger cry. Parking lot is small and shared, street parking available. Restroom is shared with the rest of the building in the hallway.

I ordered the drunken noodles with chicken, 11/10. One of the best Thai meals I've ever had. Believe them when they say mild is spicy. I'm glad I didn't order medium because even the mild had a strong kick and leaves a nice lingering spicy aftertaste. The ingredients tasted very fresh and everything was cooked perfectly. There was very little chicken, maybe about four small pieces, but the chicken that was included was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. The only downside was the portion size, which was smaller than most Thai restaurants. You can tell this place is very popular and a bit more high-end. Every seat was full and parking is valet only, which is something to keep in mind. Even with the smaller portion, this is some of the highest quality Thai food you'll find. I would definitely come back and bring friends. *PRICES ON YELP ARE WRONG *** My drunken noodles was $21 not the $10 that it says on their yelp menu. Tip do not order through DoorDash they'll charge you an extra six dollars order directly from their website to avoid an up charge

Still my favorite Thai spot in Houston. And now they take inKind, so I'm even more inclined to drop in! I took two others with me and we decided to try some new dishes and introduce them to some of my favorites. - Jumbo Lump Crab with Coconut Sauce (5/5): Oh my god. I was upset for a bit that they rotated out the Tiger Prawns, but I've found a new gem in their new seasonal dish. The perfect amount of crab, a sauce that you could mop up with rice (and I did, with rice from the curry), amazing little bites to enjoy it with. You've got to try this. - Pad See Ew (5/5): Still a must-get every time. Still fantastic texture and balance. - Garlic Chive Pancakes (4.5/5): Still a great way to start the meal but the texture is a little more dry and not as chewy as I remember? - Laab Pork (4/5): Still a fantastic mid-meal blend of vegetables and meat. As always, I wish they gave more cucumber. - Red Curry with Pumpkin and Chicken (4/5): I honestly thought this was pretty good but I was overpowered but how great the jumbo crab was that this felt a little weaker in comparison. It's still got great spice alone and nice that it comes with rice to be very filling. - Coconut Shallot Ice Cream (???/5) So.. I'd call this an experience LOL. Three small scoops of what seem like dairy free ice cream, with caviar and crispy shallots. It's as weird as it sounds. Reminds me of a salted caramel dish but.. more salty, more coconut than sweet. It's very weird. I wouldn't order it again, but if I were served this as an eclectic tasting menu dessert I would let the chef cook. Overall Street to Kitchen still sits in my top restaurants in Houston and a must-try Thai spot.

Yes yes and more yes. The aesthetic and food were top notch. Service was polite and swift. We were met with smiles and left with smiles and full stomachs. Now I will warn you about the spice. lol just make sure you decide your spice level with the help of your waiter. This is a must try and repeat restaurant.

This is going to be an unpopular opinion but I just didn't think it was that great. My expectations were sky high as this place has been winning all of the awards from James beard to Michelin. It appears their space is newer than the place that was in many of the previous reviews so wonder if that has any impact. It's located on the east end and the venue itself is well built out but the surrounding area is still sketchy. Mostly street parking but there is a small lot. Once inside the place is decorated well and the vibes remind me of Montrose with lots of loud eclectic music, hardcore trap to edm to hip hop. The bass was really hitting. As far as the food, just a heads up everything will come out pretty spicy. They give you a warning but most of the group felt the dishes were just too darn spicy. The best dish of the night was the fried egg appetizer, it's quite interesting and nothing I have had at any other place before. The drunken noodles were solid, but nothing mind blowing, could be found at most places in town. Only difference is that it's kicked up on the spice by default. The Khao Soi is okay the meat is very tender. The crispy chicken lard comes out dry and the topping once again is super spicy. The green curry was very light, a little bland even. Ended the meal with the mango sticky rice, once again good, but nothing special. Just hard to justify the prices when there are so many other amazing Thai places in town. The service was very good as they work as a team and it seems everyone is willing to help.

Located inside a warehouse that is currently being updated, Street to Kitchen is an unsuspecting delight. With authentic Thai food offered in real Thai spice levels, this place is definitely one of the best Thai in Houston. We ordered a few plates to share. For appetizers, we got an egg salad dish that was just okay. It was a little too doused in fish sauce for my liking, though still good, the least memorable dish of the day. We also ordered a large tom yum shrimp soup to share and even the mild spice was extreme. The sweet and sourness of the soup was some of the best I've had. For entrees, we ordered the crispy pork, pumpkins red curry and massaman curry. The curries were absolutely, insanely delicious. The massaman was coconutty and packed with flavor. The pumpkin was something I normally would not order, not being the biggest fan of pumpkin, but the roasted pumpkin in here was incredible. Highly highly recommend these two. The crispy pork was super crunchy and the sticky rice was a delight. Mango sticky rice is a must get for dessert. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, as well as attentive. Highly recommend this place for great food and ambiance.

Came here for my birthday and the food was so flavorful and totally satisfied my Thai food cravings. I've tried about three different Thai places in Houston and this might be the best drunken noodle I had in Houston so far. Khao soi - the beef was very tender; crunchiness of the noodles added great texture. Wings- was on the happy hour menu, the sauce is bright and complimented the wings well. Green chives pancake - not your standard pancake but crispy and paired with dipping sauce delicious. Staff were very kind and attentive! There's street parking around the area. Ambiance is cozy and dim, great for a date night or a girls night out for a casual dinner. On the louder side! Definitely coming back!

Street to Kitchen serves incredibly delicious Thai food! The drunken noodles had just the right amount of authentic Thai heat, and the Pad Thai was perfectly flavorful. I loved that both dishes came with crushed peanuts, adding a wonderful nutty crunch and extra depth of flavor. I also ordered the chicken dish, which was unbelievably tender and juicy. It paired perfectly with the spicy green sauce that had a refreshing hint of mint. It was so good that I ended up ordering three servings--I just couldn't get enough! Overall, this place is absolutely amazing.

This is a great Thai place to try. The upbeat vibes for dinner makes it seem like a club or lounge but with the restaurant feel. We got the Khao soi, which was excellent with the soft tender beef and great spices and flavors of the broth. The noodles were also very delicious and chewy. The papaya salad was also great with a nice kick and refreshing. The green curry was also very excellent with good broth to go with the rice. All dishes are thai mild and is actually pretty spicy to keep in kind. I had the Bangkok 75 cocktail that was great. The bartenders and staff were very nice and attentive and accommodating.

Do they no longer accept take out orders? Wanted to bring our friends (who have welcomed a new baby) some dishes from their neighborhood favorite. But I can't find a way to order online or get through by phone.

When I posted my review a month or so ago, the owner stated the restaurant was moving and the new location wasn't going to be open for a few weeks. Check the location you're calling, it may be the closed location. Hope that helps.

We had to order take out on a Friday night because it was 10 mins before closing (9pm on Fridays) and they processed the order incredibly fast. All tables were full when we picked up so I'm sure busy nights will be a bit of a wait to get in. We asked for "medium" spice but the receipt had been defaulted to "mild" thank god. It was still a decent amount of spice and any more I would have probably been sweating like crazy. So I would recommend starting off with mild and go from there unless you are a glutton for punishing spice. Their mild seems to be more like medium / hot at an Americanized Thai joint. Pad Kee Mow with chopped chicken was delicious. Fresh crunchy green beans and bell peppers, onions and tomatoes perfectly cooked with the perfect spicy basil sauce. Noodles all had sauce on them. Large serving size and great price. We also got papaya salad which was just right and nice spice. I wish I could come here often and try everything else on the menu.

There's a sign-in sheet. While we waited, we took a look at their two-aisle mini store, which is in the same room as the restaurant. We bought some interesting snacks and looked at the menus until we were messaged. Once we sat down, we shared fried tofu and chive cakes. They were amazing. The fried tofu was evenly crispy with a soft, piping-hot fluffy inside. (The sauce doesn't contain any fish sauce, since one of us was vegetarian.) The chive cakes were both crispy and mochi-like. I had the Thai iced tea and pompano fish. The staff scared us about the spice level, so we all started off with mild and a small variety of chili sauce, oil, and powder on the side. The ones who changed their minds to mild actually used them. So now we know that if you like medium spicy, go with the second-lowest level. I was fine with mild and ate my whole fish. Loved it. Our waitress was quick, but the kitchen... not so much. We all ended up eating at different times because we didn't want anyone's dishes to get too cold while waiting for the rest to come to the table. By the time my dish came, the first two main dishes were already finished (rice and noodle-based), and the third dish (curry) had already been at the table for a while. I also noticed another table that sat after us got all of their dishes (noodles and rice) before my dish came. The food timing needs some work. If you want a quick meal, I think their rice and noodles are the fastest. But the pompano fish was amazing. If you know how to debone a fish or eat one with bones, get this dish. There's free parking out front and in the grassy lot next to it.

Curry is a bit sweet to my liking, but overall, it was a good meal. Will have to try other dishes next time. Food presentation is nicely plated. Not messy or sloppy. 5. Cleanliness - dining area is clean. The waitstaff keeps this place in tip top shape. The only complaint I have, although not exactly about cleanliness, I would suggest that management take a look at the lock in the men's restroom. Although it was locked, someone was able to enter still. SUMMARY This is a petite Thai cafe. Everything about this place was enjoyable. I would definitely come back to try again and will highly recommend this place.

For drinks, I got the Mekhong Mojito and it was sweet and refreshing! For appetizers, we got the crispy squid and the crispy wonton- crispy squid was good but if you had to choose between the two, get the crispy wonton! As for the entree, I ordered the Khao Soi with shrimp and my friend ordered the spicy red snapper. The curry broth with coconut milk was fragrant and with the toppings that came on the side (i.e. lime, onions/shallots, mustard greens, etc) enhanced the dish. The flat egg noodles were bouncy and the shrimp was solid. If you're stuck between choosing a curry dish and a noodle dish, get the best of both worlds and order the Khao Soi! As for my friend's spicy red snapper, I tried a bite and the spices/texture in the dish complimented the fish very well. For dessert, we ordered the classic Mango Sticky Rice! The mango was soft/sweet, the rice and sauce had that salty coconutty flavor. Aside from the delicious food, the interior is cozy and the waiters here were friendly and gave great advice on what to order. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area and are craving good thai food!

They have that street food vibe as a well representation of their name, Rim Tanon, which means roadside. With dedicated parking that fills up quick during peak times, it may be difficult to locate parking as it is shared with a few other restaurants and the spaces are quite tight. We tried their appetizers including Salmon Rolls (flavorfully packed with cream cheese, salmon, and spinach in a crispy shell and loving that actually spicy mayo on the side), Thai Style Jerky (deep fried and sun dried marinated pork and beef served with sticky rice rolls and side spicy tamarind sauce, a bit too dry/chewy), Fried Tofu (perfect little triangles, so good by itself or with the side sweet and sour sauce with crushed peanuts), Chive Pancake (deep fried and chive packed triangles with a slight chew to it, great by itself or with it's spicy soy sauce companion). As for the mains, the Spicy Seafood Fried Rice is a good value as it was loaded with all sort of fruits of the sea (shrimp, squid, and mussel), with prominent lemongrass and kaffir lime aroma, but a bit wet or moist for a fried rice dish, the Crabmeat Omelet is served with a nice portion of lump crabmeat where you can taste the flavor of the seafood and add sriracha to liking, and the Beef Pad See Ew is made appetizing with wok charred flat rice noodles along with a savory blend of soy sauce, Chinese broccoli and egg. The portion size is alright and filling for a moderately hungry individual, though it would've been even better a tad bigger for those coming in hangry. I'll be back for more when I'm craving some modern Thai food and especially want to try their curry dishes. Service was quick and efficient, attentive to refills on drinks and friendly!

It could easily reach that level. Our waitress, Ann, was incredibly kind, soft spoken, and welcoming. My friend Sherita suggested this restaurant after we left a Yelp office hour, and I'm so glad she did because it introduced me to something I never knew I needed: the salmon mango fried rice. It was absolutely amazing. I originally planned to take some home for my son to try, but it was so delicious that I finished every bite in one sitting. Sherita had visited earlier in the week and tonight shared that she arrived; right before I walked in which was 30 minutes before closing time, Jackie told her to hurry up and order, even though she already knew exactly what she wanted and didn't even need a menu. Jackie response was unprofessional and didn't even wait till the table guest got to the table, which was less than seconds since we all arrive at the same time, and left the same place. During our visit, Jackie never brought us water. A couple who was seated after us received water before we did. It took over 10 minutes for us to get water. Ann took great care of us, but anytime we wanted a refill, we had to ask. At one point my glass was completely empty. I noticed Jackie refilling the water glasses for a table of six, so I managed to get his attention. He looked directly at me, scanned the room, then stomped away all fast without acknowledging my request. Instead, he told Ann that we wanted water, and she graciously brought it over. Even at the end of our meal, Jackie stood behind the register while my friends waited to pay, yet another employee ended up taking their payment. His overall energy felt very cold and unwelcoming. My friend even joked that it was probably for the best that he didn't refill my water because of the energy he was carrying. As someone who believes water absorbs energy, I honestly agreed. I'm grateful Ann was the one who served us with such kindness. The restaurant itself has such a peaceful, zen atmosphere. The greenery outside and the warm lighting inside create a cozy neighborhood spot that I truly want to love and revisit with my son. Thank you , Sherita for introducing me and Aaliyah to this hidden gem. I completely understand why you visited twice in one week. I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu, and hopefully next time the hospitality matches the quality of the food.
