Probably one of the best places I've gotten my eyebrows threaded. It was empty when I walked in around 6pm on a Saturday night. The owner was working and she happily greeted me. I think she's the faster threader I've had work on my eyebrows and they looked nice after. She also noticed gaps in my eyebrows and offered advice on how to fill them in. She showed me the brow powder she had and taught me how to put it on. That was so nice of her! Only downside was someone walked in so I couldn't get more time with her to thread all parts of my face. Overall, I'd go again because it was only $8 to do my eyebrows. That's so worth it. My neighborhood joint is $10. So Perfect Eyebrows is a steal! read more

I'm so happy I found this place! Last salon I went to really did a number on my eyebrows so I was desperately trying to find another place that did eyebrows and tint. I came across Perfect Eyebrows on yelp and saw they have great reviews so, I gave it a try. I contacted Amber for an appointment and luckily she had same day appointments available. Amber really paid attention to what I wanted my eyebrows to look like she was upfront with me and said she will get my eyebrows how they used to be but it will take time since the last girl kind of made them thinner than I usually have them. After Amber finished she made sure I didn't leave til I was satisfied and let me tell you I was so happy with the end results! Im definitely going to keep coming to see her! I have seen Amber for about a year for brow threading every 4 weeks. She does a good job, BUT her appointment system is extremely difficult to manage. She accepts only same day appointments, and often varies her hours of operation. For example, I texted today inquiring about an an appointment for tomorrow. She responded that I would have to text her tomorrow after 4:30pm to see if she has availability. If you work for a living, or have any commitments during her short hours of operation you are basically out of luck. As she told me, there are many places to get your brows threaded, I would recommend you see someone else who is easier to deal with. read more

You threaded my eyebrows last year in October and I returned back, and today you butcher my eyebrows. Amber started yelling loudly when I explained that I'm missing a chunk of my eyebrow. A customer explaining how there's a chunk missing shouldn't be something personal, clearly Amber took it that way and said I messed her up. She rush my eyebrow appointment and blamed it on me for having a bad eyebrow experience else where. Please learn how to treat your customers with respect. I work in the beauty industry I do NOT treat my clients like you treated me today. Never again will I return to this establishment. Update from the reply below- I don't have scars! What are you talking about? I explained to you that I've had bad brow experiences in the past. You clearly gave me another bad experience. The pictures below show that, and I was NOT 15 minutes late, I called you and said I'm running 5 minutes late and arrived at 3:50pm and my appointment was at 3:45pm. You RUSH! The threading lasted 1 minute. Why will I pay for a chunk of hair missing? Please if you have cameras, watch how disrespectful you treated me and started screaming after I explained I was missing a chunk of hair. I hope this a learning lesson for you. Amber saved my eyebrows. I started going to her last year and the first thing she made me realize was how thin my eyebrows were from getting them done elsewhere and how I should grow them out. I would always ask to just get them cleaned up but they ended up removing too much hair each time. Amber knew exactly what to do. Each month I would come in and she would remove the smallest bit of hair so that they could still grow in but look presentable. Comparing October of last year to now, I'm absolutely in love with how my eyebrows look. They're thick, healthy and I don't even fill in my eyebrows anymore when I do my makeup (I used to always have to do it when my eyebrows were thinner). I have been coming to Amber for eyebrow and upper lip threading for 8 years now (I can't even believe it) and I literally do not trust anyone else with my eyebrows except for her. She is so skilled with threading and I am ALWAYS left satisfied with my eyebrows after seeing her. I live in Milwaukee now but I still come to her for my eyebrows and I do not want to find someone new where I live. She has a small store but it is very well kept and the business runs smoothly. I rarely have to wait more than a few minutes even if there are a couple people ahead of me. She takes her time and is very gentle and she is very efficient. She always offers witch hazel or lotion to sooth the skin after she finishes which is a very well appreciated touch. I also have yet to find any threaders who offer such amazing prices for the work performed. I believe eyebrows are just $8 which I have not been able to find anywhere else. I was at perfect eyebrows about a little over a month ago. I usually don't get my eyebrows threaded as i tend to pluck mine but i needed them professionally done so i decided to make a visit here. There was no line no waiting at this shop (since i was here middle of the week, middle of the day). I unfortunately don't remember who did my brows and lip but overall she did a great job and did it all for under $10! Have to admit for someone who doesn't do this often (only 2X my entire life!), my skin was sensitive and the area threaded on was red and itchy for a few hours post session but overall doing this was worth it. In the end, my eyebrow lines were perfectly shaped, clean and neat. Those lil stubborn microscopic hairs you cant remove during plucking are easily removed through threading. Just give yourself at least a day or two to let the redness and itching subside especially if you have sensitive skin like mine. Being one satisfied customer, I would happily return again read more

No worries, fellow Yelpers with perfect eyebrows, this business is not closed! I posted a picture last weekend of a "closed" sign but underneath it it displayed the dates of September 1st and 2nd. I went in today (since they were closed the last time I stopped by) and was asked to remove the picture because at first glance, it could look like the store closed permanently. So picture deleted...but my whole point to the picture was to suggest a website or even just a Facebook page listed as their website on Yelp to display dates they're closed. September 1st I get, it was Labor Day...but I had no reason to assume they were closed September 2nd. I suppose it's my own fault for not calling to check? I did see there is a sign posted inside the shop listing days they're closed coming up so I'll be sure to check that. And for newbies, I guess I would recommend calling first before trekking up to Diversey just to get your eyebrows in check. I normally go to a salon in A'ville to get my naturally Bert/Ernie-esque eyebrows cleaned up, but decided to go here after reading the fellow reviews. It is located on the 2nd floor of the Century Mall - with a public parking structure if you are driving. The entrance is on Clark Street. GET your ticket validated, it will be $2 for less than two hours. I walked in and there were two customers ahead of me. I probably only waited 7 minutes before I was seated. The lady there was nice - and very quick. I mean, I almost felt like being that quick she was bound to do a sloppy job, but nope, they turned out great and I was very pleased. She does a very good job and the place is small and intimate. Only issue is that they are not open on Sundays which sometimes for me it's hard to get in Saturday if I get busy. The person working here was very socially awkward and unprofessional. I called and she explained that she would have see me in person for consultation and that was fine. But when got there she kept asking me if was sure if I wanted the service and not matter how much I said yes, kept telling "ok but I cannot make them perfect because they are already uneven", and I said I know but I still need them shaped and tinted. But she wouldn't drop the conversation no matter how many times I told her I understood. I've had services before and it was ok. She just kept going on and on until I felt like she was saying she didn't want to do because she didn't think I would be happy with her services. It was exhausting and waist of time. I have been going there exclusively for years because the location is convinent for me and I like supporting small businesses owned by a women. However, in my experience, the service is not bad but not great ether. One of their biggest downsides is their sales pitch. Which is " Your eyebrows are thin / thinning / falling out." Then they make you agree that your eyebrows are thin so if she actually ruins them she would say you agreed that your eyebrows are already thin. I heard that pitch every single time I went there. Then, they suggest that the person did my eyebrows last time ruined them even though I never went anywhere else for the last four years. Its even funnier when they don't believe you & get angry when you say you never went anywhere else. The first few times they said my eyebrows are thinning I believed them and became very concerned. I started looking for remedies and researching only to find out that my eyebrows are actually not thinning and have never been and the "innocent" advice was a sales pitch to get me to go there more often and never try any other threading service in the city. Another reason why I didn't give this business five stars is the rude attitude and the non stop flow of personal questions that she keeps asking. Over the years, I heard her making comments on personal things like my hair, my personal life, my faith, my career and more. I understand that to chit-chat here and there is part of the customer services business but not to continuously ask personal questions in a snoopy manner. With all due respect but we are not friends. I'm there to receive a service for a price not to be confronted with personal topics. As a result, I did more research & found a better, more professional business that I'm happy to support. read more

This place is awesome - I can't say enough good things about it. It's very affordable (I believe about $8 for brow threading) and you never have to wait more than five minutes for someone to see you. The lady and man that work there always do a great job and I trust them 100% with their work. I've had some fiascos happen at other places where I was very dissatisfied with the results, but that just doesn't happen here. In terms of cleanliness, it's very sanitary here, which I appreciate. When I was in a pinch and needed to get my brows done asap (but Perfect Eyebrows was closed for night), I've gone to other places in the area to get waxed, and they always felt unhygienic in comparison. The only downside for me personally was it was a bit hard to get to after work, but it appears they just extended their weekday hours to 7 pm, which is a huge help. I've been going here for two years now and when I move out of Lincoln Park it will be hard to find a place that compares. read more

The woman that I talked with didn't just have me sit in the chair and get to it, she asked me about what shape I wanted, how often I've had my brows done before, as though she wanted to get to know me. She gave me some tips on shaping and filling in, which I SO appreciated. She also suggested because I have thinner brows that I just need to come in every 4 weeks, not ever 2 weeks which every other place has always told me.
