They have always been great with all their services. I go there weekly and not once I have felt I got anything less than excellent service. Be it threading, facial, waxing - have personally tried all and they have expertise in all these areas. They are always super clean(as am very very particular about that) The salon went above and beyond post covid in ensuring safety. See the pics attached. When one comes in- the temp is checked at the door, the person writes it down with a sanitized pen and post writing it is placed in a diff container to re-sanitize. The staff wears faceshield and face masks. Before seating they sanitize the chair. They use the thread across the neck instead of mouth for threading purposes. Facemasks are a must. They also limit the people in the salon at any given point in time - Highly recommend booking appointments. They are extra clean and super attention is paid at each point. The same pen routine is followed when signing for payment too. I have been to other salons for hair cut recently and for a pedicure and by far Sanaya has taken the best and most effective measures. I'm mystified by the number of 5* reviews this place has - just got my eyebrows and upper lip done by Rani and she was nothing short of awful. I've been having my threading done for 15+ years and this was among the worst, ever. 1) she never asked me what shape or level of cleanup I wanted. I'm a first time customer, this is a basic question for anyone, but especially for a customer you don't know at all. 2) her precision with the thread was awful. Jerky motions and I could feel hair being pulled in random places while she was working in other spots 3) her willingness to deliver the service appeared to be near zero. She did a quick pass over my eyebrows, sloppily applied wax (including getting it all over my lips), and then thought she was done. I told her I still had stray hairs on my eyebrows AND upper lip and she was visibly annoyed that I dared to say so. After asking her twice to go back, she said "there's no hair left" and essentially refused to do any more. 4) her finished product was straight up bad. My eyebrows are now unevenly cut, one of them is missing a small patch of hair from her jerky movements, and they don't even look clean. 5) I have multiple cuts from her terrible use of thread. She applied witch hazel over my eyebrows and didn't seem to care when I was wincing at the contact with my bleeding cuts. Unfortunately, I'm sure I'll go back here in a pinch - it's too close to where I live. Hopefully I at least never have to deal with Rani and her attitude again. read more

If you want a 100% honest review right now, buckle your seatbelts: I came in the morning at 10:30 AM and right away Veena asked me to lay down on the chair. Without asking anything she started threading my eyebrows-- I'm used to people asking if I just want a clean up but if they don't they usually just do so to avoid over threading. My eyebrows became so thin! I'll take half the blame on that for not telling her right away. I then started a lash tint/lift. It was my first time having it done. The process started out well but in the end the dye/chemicals got into my eye and it burned/was difficult to open my eyes, I suggest if you are sensitive to chemicals to avoid this service all together. The end result turned out pretty nice though. Finally, I went to the back room where the waxing table was. She told me to take my underwear and shorts off right away and also my shirt, I laid on the wax table essentially naked except for my bra. I used to work in a spa and I was a little off put by the fact that I didn't have anything to cover my exposed body parts nor was I given any privacy to change, she kind of just stood there while I awkwardly stripped and got on her table, which I climbed onto bc it was so high. She started out with normal wax and strips, the pain was tolerable even for someone who has not had a professional Brazilian in some time. But then, she used hard wax and one specific spot would not come off. She then put regular wax on top of the piece of hard wax and tried to use a strip, which did not remove it. She continued to add wax and attempted to strip it off repeatedly until it became a ball of wax. She took scissors and cut some wax off and repeated the same process of adding wax and stripping the same spot--it started to become very sore and I voiced this issue to her. Still, she took scissors and removed the second ball of wax build up. Eventually she repeated the process until it came off. She must have made more than 20 passes on that same area. She said it was because I shaved essentially blaming me for what had happened. I was in a lot of pain by the end and when I noticed there were a few patches of missed hairs I didn't bother to correct her because I didn't want to be put through more pain. She did my underarms quickly and I bled In several spots, which doesn't even happen when I wax my own underarms at home. Did I mention she uses gold bond on your vag? Never seen that in my life. I have a trip to Florida tomorrow and I though I'd pamper myself before my anniversary, but if I had to do it again I wouldn't believe the positive reviews and steer clear of this place. She was a very nice lady and I'm sorry to write this review but I don't want another unsuspecting customer to experience what I did. TLDR: be clear with what you want for your eyebrows or they will be threaded thin, lash lift and tint turn out really nice but avoid if sensitive to chemicals in your eyes, avoid Brazilian/underarms at all costs! read more

I'm a faithful client of the threading and waxing services. Additionally, mehndi quality is credible. They listen and care about what you want as your eyebrows are a critical part of your face. There are different types of wax which in my opinion shows they are experts in this space. They know which type of wax works best for specific areas of your body. The service is extremely quick and it's clean. There have been times I've left waxing services at other places with my clothes sticking to me and it's uncomfortable. They will take the time to clean you up and if you feel there are areas to clean up they will do so. Back to the mehndi.... they use a specific formula which had my mehndi lasting for over a week. It was amazing. I recommend calling ahead if You want someone specific for any services otherwise wait times could be long if they are doing multiple services on one client. read more

I have been going to this salon for the past few months for all my threading and waxing needs, and I highly recommend this little gem. Services are economical ($11 for eyebrow waxing, $15 for underarms, $30 for half legs), the technicians work quickly, and are precise and very hygienic, and keep small talk to a minimum. Veena and Rani are both very good with eyebrow waxing, and offer Benefit Brow Bar level service at less than half the cost. They also have a punch card for eyebrow waxing, so every eleventh eyebrow wax is free! I recommend calling ahead of time to make sure that you don't have to wait too long. read more

Used to go here to get my eyebrows threaded regularly. They used to be very attentive and focused, but I've noticed that quality of service has gone down over time. If one or two people are waiting they rush through the threading, which once caused them to really mess up my eyebrows- different shapes and widths. Took a while for my eyebrows to get back to normal after that. Clean salon, they validate parking, and have a loyalty rewards program. These are all nice perks, but I won't be going back after an exceptional experience at Sai Eyebrow Threading right down the street. read more

Yelp, you guys really pulled through for me this time. I brought my unruly, unshapely, monstrous brows to this cozy little shop for a try at threading. Nilufer totally delivered. I walked out ten minutes later with celebrity-perfect brows, something I'd given up thinking was possible a long time ago. She was very pleasant and made me feel at ease from the moment I walked in the door. I loved that she shaped my brows to complement my face perfectly -- not too thin, not too thick. A friend introduced me to this spot. Right in the neighborhood, quick and cheap. I went to get my eyebrows threaded for the first time. The idea of the process really intrigued me, but I was a little hesitant. The women were really fantastic and friendly. They calmed my nerves a little bit and told me it wouldn't take too long and it only hurts the first couple time and you get used to it. I have never gotten my eye brows done. ever. Thank god for a decent eyebrow place that isn't all the way up in Devon. It is slightly pricier ($11) but I'll pay for the convenience factor. I've had my eyebrows done at Merle Norman (threaded) twice now and while they look great, something they are doing gives me a rash. An unsightly rash around my eyebrows that lasts about 3 or 4 days. I've had this happen at only one other place. Not sure what's going on, but I don't like it. They always look great and I only have to go back every 3 weeks or so - as opposed to waxing where I had to go back every 2 weeks (my hair tends to grow fast so it may be different for you). $11 for eyebrow threading? Being one that has experienced the horrors of waxing, I'm a little gun shy when it comes to outsourcing my eyebrow maintenance. I would rather walk around looking like Bert from Sesame Street than having the red scabs I rocked for weeks after a bad wax years ago. I was little nervous, but after my first threading experience I was sold. At Merle Norman, my eyebrows are always shaped perfectly. Never too thin or short. As far as price, yeah, it maybe a little more than traditional threading places, but as far as convenience and validated parking, that makes up those few extra dollars. Did a great job the first time I went. I love how you can get your 9th eyebrow visit threaded for free! The woman who did my eyebrows wasn't super chatty which I like. She did an excellent job. They charge slightly more that other threading salons but that's a-okay. I love the fact that they have lots of cosmetics which you can look at while you wait. I visited Sanaya on the recommendation from a friend whos skin positively glows. She swears by the micro dermabrasion. There is a $39 groupon out so I thought I would try it. The salon is nothing fancy, They are not about frills here. They are about results! But it is clean and the lady is nice and very knowledgeable. My extremely sensitive skin was a little tender for the rest of the day but I swear that 24 hrs later I can see that the dullness is greatly reduced and my forehead looks a lot less like crepe paper. I also had a moisturizing mask. I would definitely go back! read more

Super safe and they do a great job here for my eyebrows!! I have been coming weekly since they opened after the shutdown. Temp checks, hand sanitizers everywhere, and they have N95 masks with shields on. Threading is done from the neck and not the mouth which is great. Veena does a great job!!! read more
