I've done enough NYC moves to know they can go sideways fast, but this one couldn't have been…read moreeasier. The Roadway crew was amazing, even with my Frenchie supervising them the entire time. They carefully wrapped everything, disassembled and reassembled my storage bed perfectly, and treated my furniture like it was their own. What I appreciated most was that nothing ever felt chaotic. The team was organized, efficient, and just really easy to work with. They made a stressful day feel surprisingly manageable. Would absolutely use them again.

This year has been a lot of moving for me, and moving is so stressful. I've heard great reviews…read morefrom my nyc friends about roadway moving, so I decided to get a quote from them. After talking to them, I knew I wanted to go with them. Their customer service, attention to details, and organization are 5-star levels. One thing that really stood out to me was that instead of asking me how many boxes I need, they asked me to send them pics of my place and stuff, and they calculated the number of small, medium and large boxes I need. It's so easy to underestimate and get a different price at the end. Also, I know I wanted packers because its speeds up the entire process of moving and settling in. I'm so glad I did with Roadway. It usually takes me over half a week to pack and be stressed for over a week, but Diego and his 3 teammates packed up our studio in 2-3 hours. They're so professional. They moved so quickly with care and accuracy. Most importantly, all my kitchen appliances were wrapped with care and delivered and arrived to my new apartment in the same condition. It took us about 2 hrs to settle in, and they once again unpacked most of the furnitures and reassembled them, making me feel settled in and relaxed. I cannot thank their team enough. They're all so polite, friendly and efficient. Within 1 day, I already feel 95% settled in. It's the easiest, stress-free moving experience I had in a while!

Yesterday was packing day. The experienced crew, led by Pete, took about 5 hours to pack the house…read more This crew worked mostly international moved, so we were lucky to have them pack our stuff! We received quotes from United, Allied, Atlas and National. We requested a "full pack" and move, which includes a crew to pack on one day, then a second crew comes with the truck. A third crew greets the truck at our destination to unload and place everything. Quotes are conducted either through FaceTime video, video app, or in-person visit. Prices varied - with each firm using their local affiliates to pack, drive and unload. You need to check reviews on the individual affiliates as well as the parent organization. Despite the highest quote, we selected United based on the experience with the quote person - Bill Douma - and the reputation of the two local affiliates here in NY ((William B Meyer) and in Fl. A dedicated move coordinator is assigned - ours being Laura Meng, who coordinates the crews and keeps tabs on timetables. The pack crew disassembled office equipment, TVs, and packed these in their original packaging (if available). Boxes were all labeled with contents and room destination. Not only did they pack carefully and caringly, but they were fun to talk with. Nice guys all! Wholeheartedly recommend! Will update after the unpacking...

We used William B Meyer to move from Westchester County NY to Fort Collins CO. I spoke to 5 movers…read morebefore selecting WBM. What I found is that the cost of the move is more or less the same, it is based on weight and distance. What differentiated WBM was the willingness to provide a comprehensive solution. We had an installed home office system that we took down and re-installed in our new home and WBM was the only mover who offered a solution for that. Furthermore, we moved a wine cellar and had furniture in CA that we needed moved. While in the end we didn't use WBM for that, they offered a solution. They also included boxes, which other movers did not. Bill Douma was our salesman and he was very responsive during the sales process. Our move coordinator, Brian Coughlin solved every issue promptly and courteously. Likewise our driver and loading crew were professional and courteous. My only complaint was with the unloading crew. They are motivated to unload the truck as quickly as possible and this is not aligned with the clients needs during a very overwhelming process. They were not cooperative with proper placement of area rugs and when I asked them to move two pieces of furniture they argued that I was asking them to rearrange the furniture, highly inappropriate since we have a lot of furniture and nearly filled a truck. Again this was at the end of long day when they had been working very hard without a break, but their communication style could be improved. My feedback for United is that they need to modernize their inventory system. The process of tagging boxes and furniture in different colors and complex inventory on multi-copy forms is highly confusing and inefficient and contributes to the hassle of move in day. All the tags should be scanned into an electronic inventory. Despite the constructive feedback above, I highly recommend WBM and United for anyone planning a cross country move.

I…read morecalled a few places, and Danny from Veterans Movers called and was very much available to me. They scheduled a zoom/facetime walk-thru of my apartment to see what I needed and to give me a better quote. I had started packing already and got all my own boxes so it was easy to see what I had left. What I really liked was the 'no BS' hidden fees. It was one price that wouldn't change, no matter the hours or added last minute box. Of course my move was scheduled and it had to snow. Thankfully this didn't stop them. 4 guys showed up right on time (during a snow storm on a friday morning rush hour in the city). They walked thru and got a game plan, then brought up all the blankets and plastic wrap and got to work. TVs were dismounted and put in boxes, mattresses were put in boxes as well. The amount of blankets they used to wrap my furniture made me so happy. While they took their time, they were still hustling - running from the truck to the apartment. Once we got to my new place, they covered my stairs with runners and wore plastic booties to ensure my floors weren't messed up. I wish I had bought the wall mount for my TVs for my new place, because they offered to set me up. The only thing I was disappointed about was that my couch didn't fit thru the garage entry so it was left in the garage. I wish they had tried thru the front door but they were adamant that it still wouldn't fit. After 7 hours, I wasn't going to push them. Regardless, would 100% recommend Veterans Movers and also hope Roadway doesn't ruin this small-business. I wish I could remember the 4 guys that helped me move to give them a shoutout! Thx!!!
