Everyone besides a blonde woman put their masks on so I said hello specifically to her as a hint but she refused to acknowledge me or the mask. Two people assisted on my pups nail and cut her almost immediately so I had to stand there and watch her bleeding in discomfort. Not worth the $5 + tip. I really shouldve turned around and left but this was close to home and Im not in a condition to drive around looking for groomers who would take walk ins. The shop is always clean and everyone is always so friendly. You can actually see the love that everyone has for all the animals that come in to be groomed and that is so important, especially when you hear horror stories about other grooming businesses. We have been going there for years, I wouldn't trust anyone else with our dogs. Not only do they groom but they look out for ear infections, rashes, hot spots, allergies etc. We have never had a problem. We just got our sheltie cut here today. We told them "cut her short." We did not say "shave her…read moredown so short you can't tell what breed she is." She has a big rash(?) on her groin area (which should never be shaved down btw) and she keeps licking it as it is irritating her. This has never happened before at any other groomer. Her hair is not cut evenly, and even the top of her tail seems like it was shaved! I sympathize with the other yelpers who have had similar experiences here. We will never be taking her back here again. Update: December 18th I didn't think to update this review until recently. Her hair grew back somewhat normally (thankfully), however her coat is not as dark as it used to be anymore. As you can see in the picture two days before, it was dark brown and black in some places. She is more ginger now. I am grateful it grew back, but a little sad it does not look the same as it used to. That being said, she was doing better after a few weeks and at least she is still my happy little ball of fluff.

Lately, we have started to board Sophie at Grooming Tails because Hope's boarders get a suite/small room as standard. Other boarders will crate the dogs and charge an extra $40-$50 for a suite. Combined with spa treatment/grooming and that value is untouchable anywhere.

I am writing this with an extremely heavy heart and with complete honesty. We brought our dog,…read morePenny, to Planet Pooch twice after her initial trial, and on her second full day of daycare (12/29/25), she was aggressively attacked. Penny is what we jokingly refer to as a "spectator dog." She does not actively play; she prefers to roam, observe, and cuddle with the staff. With that said, her being attacked (photos attached) came as a huge surprise to us. We understand that dogs will be dogs and that they explore and play using their mouths. We are also fully aware that in a daycare environment, minor scratches can happen during play. What we are most upset about is that Planet Pooch either did not see our dog get attacked, which is inexcusable since staff should be supervising the dogs at all times to prevent situations like this, or they did see her get bitten and chose not to take appropriate action. We frequently checked in on Penny while she was at daycare and were repeatedly told that she was fine and that there was nothing to worry about. However, after picking her up at the end of the day and petting her at home, we discovered a large, bloody gash on her neck. The bite was deep enough that the veterinarian stated a separate incision had to be made to open the tissue pocket created by the bite in order to prevent infection and possible abscesses. We are thankful we found the injury when we did, because we cannot fathom the pain and serious consequences this could have led to if left untreated. While Planet Pooch did agree to cover our dog's initial medical expenses (there are additional follow-up visits we will need and pay for), this does not excuse their lack of supervision or their failure to communicate with us so that we could have taken Penny to the emergency vet immediately instead of finding out hours later. We were told that new procedures would be put in place to prevent this from happening again. I sincerely hope that any dog parent who continues to bring their dog to Planet Pooch holds them accountable to ensure these promises are fulfilled, because we will never be bringing our dog back. I cannot recommend this facility to any dog owner. If you do choose to move forward, I strongly suggest being vigilant and thoroughly checking your pet before and after drop-off. I hope Planet Pooch is proactive and treats this as a serious learning experience for the staff and owner. Unfortunately, this came at my dog's expense. I truly hope Penny recovers without any lasting aggression, fear, or trauma caused by this carelessness.

Before the pandemic and during 2020, this business was the best. We picked up and started using…read morethem again in February of 2021 and they have changed, which is understandable because of the pandemic. It's not the small price increase as we can understand that, it's that they no longer provide de-mating service in case it's needed. So it's now become a wash, trim, and bandana for more money and less work. After using them for a year and being very pleased, we might as well go to a standard wash, trim, nails place for 1/3 of their charges. Sorry that we had to part company in this matter but now for $120-130 every two months vs $45 there is too much of a disparity in fees. I see that the owner states that we cancelled twice .... That's different and a new tactic since you set the schedules and cancelled on us. You didn't set our next appointment during the last visit and that was months ago! We no longer will be using your services and don't appreciate the changing story. YOU stated to me that you no longer offer departing service so I don't get your reply, and it just confirms more that we will no longer use your service.
