The flyer says "Grand Opening! $35 for one hour foot massage!" We chuckled because this place has been in business for quite some time now. But we knew it was a tactic to get customers, ya know? I already knew this place didn't have a great Yelp rating. So my expectations were already low. When we arrived, there was only one woman there ... in the entire place. We asked if she could accommodate two walk-ins and whether she takes VISA, she told us yes to both questions. I noticed that the price chart on the wall says that their 60 hr. foot massage is normally $40, so I thought, "Hey, at least we're getting a deal." She took us to the massage beds (which is in an open shared space) and started making a bunch of phone calls. It sounded like she was calling for people to come help. So we probably sat around for 15 minutes before the second massage therapist showed up. The massage was okay. One thing to note for those who aren't familiar with these types of discount Chinese massage spas -- A 60 hr. foot massage is usually never fully focused on your feet. They will also massage your head, neck, arms, back, and legs (all with your clothes on), which I'm fine with. BUT my fiancé wanted more time dedicated to his feet and felt misled by their advertising. Two things to know about checkout: We were charged $2.50 to use a VISA to pay for the massages. Not a big deal. We tipped 20%, but then was asked to tip them $10 per therapist, which comes out to more than 28%. We did it to be nice, feeling bad about their lack of customers. BUT, what is the point of a $5 "grand opening" discount if you're going to ask your customer for a higher tip at the end? Yeah, we won't be coming back. There's several better options for your discount Chinese spa in Asiatown. Check out Oasis Massage in Dun Huang Plaza if you're looking for a great place!

She was extremely knowledgeable about the skin and what your body is telling you through your skin. She did a great job and our faces looked and felt amazing after. The spa is a little hidden in a business office environment and it's no frills unlike other spas (i.e. You're not going to hang out in a tea room in a robe), however the place was very clean, cozy, smelled great, and each room was designed perfectly and had the proper cozy ambience. It would be hard to disagree, considering this is a place that reminds me of spas back in Asia. Undoubtably the prices skew somewhat higher, and while they offer credit cards as an option, the fee is almost never worth it. Cash is king and they will round up, because most items and with .99 (e.g. $49.99). What I would argue is the facility is nice enough to warn the slightly higher price and overall solid massage experience. First timers will be directed to a binder, with a breakdown of multiple massages at different prices, and for different lengths of time. I would recommend looking at their website, or doing a little bit of research prior to coming. Sometimes calling ahead of time will work, as the lady boss speaks good English and is able to set appointments based on preferences. Eventually, most folks will be directed to change in their locker rooms, which have showers, vanity mirrors, and personalized lockers. Surprisingly all of the lockers are out of order, which I suspect is a safety measure than a functionality issue. The men's locker room is spotless and offers multiple types of showers. However, none of the lockers are in use or are able to be used. While they do provide shorts and uniforms for people, they don't provide baskets or ways to hold the clothes. People basically have to carry it around. One of their best services is the foot massage. It's excellent and one of the better places in Chinatown to get it. Their massage chair is out in the open and is fancy enough to have a built-in sink for foot soaking and comfy enough cushion to lay flat for front and back. Additionally, they will eventually do a neck, shoulder, and back rub (over clothes + towel) and it remains one of their best valued options. The rooms are extremely clean. It's extremely professional the whole time. They offer back walking which is their version of a deep tissue massage. Unlike a lot of other Chinese massage places where it's questionable from a hygiene standpoint, there is no worry of this here. They offer full bottles of room temperature water for everyone and parking is a cinch. Ultimately one's experience varies with every masseuse, but the men that work here pull off a very good foot massage and that would be my biggest recommendation. If a body massage is needed, I recommend deep tissue, which usually involves backwalking. (#1) ___________ (#1) Also, quite good.
