We used to love this dispensary (on El Camino) but over the last year the quality of service has seriously declined. The music is frequently so loud you can barely hear the bud tender. Loyalty points have disappeared without explanation. Online orders aren't there even when you have the email/text confirming it. The web page frequently has errors although that seems to be improving. The staff often spend so much time conversing that the lines get excessively backed up. In contrast the dispensary on Stockton Blvd is cleaner, quieter, nicer, and we have never had an error in an order. Unfortunately it is much further away so we are now searching for a viable alternative to Perfect Union. read more

Honestly I have a love-hate relationship with this place. My most recent visit today was enough. I don't think I will be back. There is a man who works at this location who has a problem 1) listening, 2) answering questions, 3) talking. On three separate occasions I have gone in and it's happened, and it happened again today. He is a middle aged heavy set white man who often stands on the floor to help people find stuff. BUT... when you tell him what you're looking for, he cuts you off and goes on a 10 minute ramble about his favorite strands. He will literally hijack you and talk at you for a very long time, not even answering your question. He pressures you into trying to buy the things he wants you to buy, or recommends, and its really uncomfortable. So, after he did it once today, I tried to step away and said "okay thanks"... remembering that this is the guy that always does that and realizing that he clearly can't help. He then somehow pulled me back and was like... "Wait wait wait.. I have something else to show you." and legit starts touring me around the store naming off brands and telling me how they source and buy their flower like I don't come here multiple times a week (and btw, I don't have time to have a 30 minute conversation about things I don't care about). He keeps trying to have a really long explanation instead of just saying "yes or no" to my question. Suddenly he's explaining about how some companies are operating out of different locations and is naming them. Dude.. I didn't ask! So I finally, now having to act rude and be visibly annoyed said "Sir.. I asked specifically about a kush strand, not any of this. But thank you." Then his whole demeanor changes and he's like "LOOK! What you need to understand is.. kush isn't real. It's a ghost strand that has been so outbread, that if you want a kush you can only find it in the himilayas." or some really annoying thing. First off, just because I am a young looking woman, please don't assume I don't know anything about weed, and don't mansplain weed to women. As I'm about to just walk away, he grabs something out of my little handbasket and says "See, this is a wayyyy better bet than what you're getting here, which is crap in my opinion." At that point I seriously just wanted to put the basket down and walk out. Employees need to stop thinking they know absolutely everything about cannabis (which believe it or not is subjective based on peoples biochemistry/mind/bodies/etc) and making people who shop their feel uncomfortable. Disappointed.. Ive been a loyal customer for a while now. Went in a hurry that day 12/22/22 grabbed my usual stuff and left. I didn't get a chance to use anything because I was working all the time. Today 12/27/22 I opened my bag and noticed I grabbed the wrong item. Didn't use it or anything. I called the store in the morning the guy said, just bring it in and we'll work with u. I go in with the wrong item, talk to the manager on duty, Trevor was his name, told him I had accidentally grabbed the wrong item and I just need to exchange it for the right one. I told him I'm a loyal customer here and I just wanna exchange it that's all. I needed the stiiizy cartridge NOT the starter kit. They both look soooo similar that's why I made that mistake. He didn't wanna do anything about it. He just whispered to me., you can sell it or just keep it. I told him it's not about the money dude it's about customer service. Every express order I've placed has been ready within minutes. 530, their house brand, is a true top-shelf product with weekly specials so you can try it as a reasonable price. I highly recommend GMO or Holy Grail if you're looking for a heavy indica to try. The security team at Perfect Union is among the friendliest I've ever encountered. I've been coming here for a couple of months and I frequent multiple dispensaries. I will not be returning here, quality of service isn't consistent. Sometimes certain staff are super helpful and cool, other times i've been greeted with a not so nice security guard. I always get the hot box every month. The worker brought up that oftentimes there will be things wrong with the items in the box. To me that made sense, that quality control on many boxes weren't consistent. He said to just bring it in with the receipt if that happened and they'd take care of me. These boxes, mind you are $150 but after service fees almost $200. Not exactly super cheap. I had opened up a fresh one gram disposable but it did not work. I thought perhaps its cold or not charged. So i warmed it up and charged it, still nothing. Also mind you, the worker told me this box regularly lasts customers months to go through all the items in it. I did exactly what he told me to but i got a different worker when i came in to exchange the disposable that wasn't working. He said i need to be opening everything in it and checking myself if everything works. To me, i just wouldnt assume you'd regularly be selling defective merchandise to customers and then on top of that, shifting the blame as if thats on me for not smoking through everything immediately. He said there was nothing that could be done. So now theres a one gram disposable just in my garbage can. I paid for the entire box, i expect everything to be working. I would have been content with even a $10 credit onto my account just to show good faith. There are many dispensaries with consistent great customer service and great prices with merchandise that consistently isn't defective. They've lost a reoccuring customer. I would recommend going to either Lemmonade, Mainstage, or Nug. But save your time from coming here. There are many reviews having similar problems with no resolve. Why pay for something you have to worry wont work, scammed me, a regular. The prices arent even competitive, nothing really special here that you cant get elsewhere. I have been coming to this location for almost a year. There has always been additional charges on top of the price of the weed, which is understandable. They have installed a new system to be able to take cards and they will not tell you that they will always be an ATM fee on top of an exercise tax and the card fee. So if you come here, be aware that your taxes will be through the roof. Just because they have to go through so many loopholes to be able to take these cards. This used to be a great dispensary; clean, professional and friendly with a great selection of products. Not anymore...a few weeks ago I noticed the choices of flower had diminished by about 80-90%. A bud tender told me it is because they had expanded too fast, opening several new locations at the same time, and weren't paying suppliers. A couple of weeks later I returned to find they closed the showroom and are only taking on line orders. Customers now must wait in line out in the cold until they are allowed, 1 at a time, into the lobby, where they only have 1 or 2 bud tenders working at any time. Staff isunfThey claim they're "short-staffed" due to Covid but it looks a lot more like they are unable to pay employees anymore. I see bankruptcy looming on the horizon for this place. My advice?
