I really didn't mind the…read morelong waiting times because I thought the customer service was pretty darn good; I've dealt with really helpful employees here. Today was a different story. I scheduled online to complete the ppwk to pick up a firearm for Wednesday, April 29th @ 9:00am. I know that getting there early on the weekdays is the key to not having to wait in line. I got there about 9:02am. I told the gentleman, a middle-aged Latino man with a gray beard and mustache, at the gun counter that I had a 9:00am appointment. He told me that he wasn't ready and was still setting up and to join the queue by registering at the kiosk. I registered at the kiosk and got a text from Bass Pro at 9:35am that my 9:00am appointment had been cancelled. Now, I was number five in the queue and it was now 10:45am. I had to leave for another appointment. I was not a happy camper. Driving to my next appointment, I called for a manager. I told Marcos the situation and he would get back to me to investigate what transpired. He called and left a message. His message relayed that I didn't get there until 9:16am and that there were several customers ahead of me so my appointment could not be accepted. That was the most ridiculous thing I ever heard; someone was trying to cover their @ss or @asses. This will be my last purchase at Bass Pro stores and I will shop from an independent store where they take accountability and take care of their customers.

    First off ignore the bad reviews. I think everyone that left a bad review has some serious…read moreentitlement problems and either a) they take their customer service too seriously or b) they have never worked retail. Before you come to this store, know that they have a high turn over rate. Don't expect to see the same person working there, because of this don't expect their employees to know everything. There's always someone new when I go there, and I never see the same person working there twice. This, lack of training means. I don't expect a "Hello" from someone who is probably working their first job out of high school or college, they will eventually develop those skills as time passes. I don't expect them to have the items listed, that's why I go to the store to check. Thieves exist, that is not the newly trained employee's fault if it was listed in their computer system but it is not there when you arrive. Yeah, you can ask them to check for you, but will they do it right? Probably not. I don't expect them to give me the price listed if it was misplaced by a newly trained team member. Maybe at Walgreens yes, but not at a Big 5. Their stuff is not a few bucks corporate is willing to lose. Expect fair customer service, but not extraordinary customer service. Everyone is super chill and nice here, yes it is not your typical store. Its mostly kids working the floor with adults managing the store. I also want to add, theft affects morale. It doesn't make employees happy to show up to work and to be constantly hit with theft. Maybe their attitudes change throughout the day due to something that happened. The store is on an area where theft is a real problem. Imagine catching someone stealing from your store, and they just laugh at your face because they know you can't stop them.

I…read morespent a while trying to figure out what items to get, so we were in the same spot for about 15 minutes. During that entire time, an employee, a lady with glasses and short hair, stayed near us and seemed to be pretending to organize things while repeatedly staring at us. Mind you, She only came over after we did. I'm not sure if we were being racially profiled or if she assumed we were going to steal, but it made me feel highly uncomfortable. Such an unpleasant experience. Stay away from this location. I won't be coming back.
