On Wednesday September 6, 2023 I had my 2007 Ford Tarus SE detailed for the outside only to get rid of the sap tree dropping which was starting to make the car look dull. I returned late afternoon to pick up the vehicle ((WOW!!!)) it looks brand new, I looked up close, no sign of any tree sap stains, and another (((WOW!!!))) they went beyond what I had requested, ((they even vacuumed and detailed the inside of the vehicle)). This is why I gave them a 5-star rating. If you need your vehicle looking like the pictures on their website, then this is the place to go. The Price I paid was great. I have used Perfection Auto Detail multiple times in the past and was delighted with the, well, perfection of the work that was done. The last time they detailed my car was Feb 2018 and I was charged $285. The work was, as usual, great. As more than two years had passed, I felt it was time to have the car made beautiful again. I learned 1) they had moved from Leghorn to Old Middlefield Road, 2) that the cost had gone up considerably and 3) that I should have read the recent reviews on Yelp before I went. I was sadly disappointed with their work and for the $380 fee I was charged, I should have been THRILLED. On the inside, the "nooks and crannies" were still dirty and on the outside, the finish just did not have the same luster that I have come to expect from Perfection. I found wax remnants on the sunroof and still very wet floor mats in the trunk. It felt like I had taken the car to Lozanos, not Perfection Auto Detail. Before booking, I asked about the location change and was assured that, although the location had changed, the ownership of the shop had not. As such, I expected the same quality results. Sadly, the results were not the same. I can no longer recommend Perfection Auto Detail and will be looking for another detailer when it is time to beautify my car again. read more

One afternoon I came home to find my car covered in paint splatter. It had been parked in its carport and had obviously been tarped, but either it was covered too late or they removed the tarp before they were done because there were tiny white dots all over my blue car. Angry doesn't begin to cover it. Thankfully I was in good hands with the nice guys at Perfection. It's always nice to find a local small business with customer service beyond reproach. That and they did an amazing job removing the paint! I plan to come back for a detailing, though hopefully not for paint splatter. Perfection was just that: perfect! Perfection did excellent work on our car, especially the interior. However, it cost 21 times what one would pay at Lozano's. Is Perfection 21X better than Lozano's? Hard to say. Ten times better, sure, but 21? The service is great. You just have to decide if you want to pay for it! read more

We got the inside and out of a compact car detailed here for $230 in preparation to sell it. Two main reasons for the bad review: - From start to finish the individual we interacted with made us feel like we were an inconvenience. He seem much more eager to be done with us than to make sure we were happy with the quality of his work. - Poor quality: several nooks and crannies of the car were not clean, especially around the door jams. I'd recommend just paying 10% of the price and getting a car wash, or if you really want a detail then go somewhere else. read more

Spilled some orange juice on the back seat of my car and needed to get it cleaned. I tried it myself but there was still a large ugly patch. Contacted Perfection Auto Detail and they said they can get rid of the stains. They charge based on the time required ($40 per half an hour) and so should be $40-$80. I took an appointment for the next day, they took 30 min approx and charged 40$. I also got rid of some older stains on the front seat (some food had spilled a few months back but it was a smaller patch, so I didn't care then. But I thought I'll get that cleaned as well now). So this was my first and probably my last visit at this place. All thanks to those YELP reviews...grrrrrrrr!!!!! My car came out almost the same condition as when it came in. These guys do not pay any attention to "detail" and so many spots were missed. When I came to pick up my car, which they were already long overdue the promised deliver time, I had to spend more time showing them all these "missed spots" and waited even longer for them to "finishing" it?!?! The guy were in a rush and seem like all he want was me paying him ASAP and making all these missed spots look worse (why would anyone use a (very) dirty towel to clean leather and fabric?!) After a while I was just giving up and decide to take my car out of there FAST. I mean if ONE and a HALF DAY could't make it happen, it just won't happen... The owner (his name was Jeff I think?!) charged me more then his quoted price twice and said he will give me a call after he got a quote from "some guy" for my leather seats and NOTHING happened....just the numbers at the pick up time is the number i have to pay??? In short, bring your money somewhere else. I'm sure with the same amount that they charge here ($550+) you can get a lot more done with so much less. read more

This past week I had the unfortunate luck of getting a terrible case of food poisoning. My poor car, I call her Shirley, at only six months of the new car lot, became the sad victim to said food poisoning. I cleaned her out with an interior cleaner and odor neutralizer, but knew I had to take her to a professional to get truly clean. Looked around on Yelp for places in Mountain View and found Perfection Auto Detail. Although they are short on reviews and mixed reviews at that, I decided to try anyways. I called them yesterday to get a quote and ask a couple questions. They asked me what type of car and make, Shirley is a Mazda 3 hatchback, and I described the incident. Guy on the phone told me they had availability the following day so I went ahead and made the appointment. They quoted me at $165 for the interior detail. Dropped Shirley off this morning around 8:15. Guy in the shop told me they would call when finished, likely around 1pm. They called right on time so I went over to pick up as they told me they closed around 4:30/5. Shirley looked brand stinkin new and smelled wonderful. Everything was cleaned including the nooks and crannies on the stitches on the steering wheel which had prior been caked with specks. The seat and carpet looked great as well. Perfection was able to take my scratched up car that was so depressing to look at and paint and buff out the serious imperfections so that I could not tell. Mother Nature scorned my precious with floods in late 2014. With no noticeable engine problems, I had it dropped off here to be detailed. Not only did they look out for my car for weeks, but when upon inspection, they recommended I just replaced some parts entirely, as detailing would not do much. Had my wife's car detailed here. It turned out to be a $350 wash and dry. The paint was rough to the touch and did not appear to have been clay barred. The leather steering wheel still had dirt in the grain, which I cleaned easily. I moved the front seats forward and found dirt under them (showing the carpets had not been vacuumed) and stains (since it wasn't vacuumed, it was obviously not shampoo'd). Not sure what was done to the car, but it certainly wasn't what I paid for. I called back while cleaning up the car and got an insincere apology, with no offer to make things right. It seems like the more experienced detailer at Perfection works on high end cars and in those cases probably does a good job, but if you have a daily driver you want cleaned up, they have a $10/hr kid who doesn't know and/or doesn't care do the work. Went to another detailer by the airport and, while slightly more expensive, it was obvious that they had done the work they said they would and the car looked great. read more

Jeff and his staff do a great job and my cars have always looked so good that people think are newer than they really are. Gave them my Honda Accord which was terribly messy both outside and inside - came back a few hours later and it looks as good as new. Great job! They are a bit expensive ($249 for the complete interior+exterior detail) compared to the competition nearby, but if you value good work and a no-hassle experience, IMO it is worth the money. read more

On 5/8/14 I brought my 2006 MBZ to them. I had water spots all over the car from being "watered" by a well-water system. John told me he could remove them. When I got the car back, the spots were completely gone. The paint looked as good as new. They even touched up some small chips. The interior was perfect. We discovered water and mold in our Prius and had to have the carpets replaced. They let us split the work into two jobs/payments, leaving our removed seats at their shop for several days so we could investigate the water leak before putting in the new mats. When we returned the second time, they had shampooed the mold out of our seats free of charge, which we had planned to do ourselves, which was a great surprise. so, now i drive all the way down here from freaking marin county. can you believe it? i have 2 yellow labs who are transported in luxury in the back of my new audi a3. it was smelling freakin' awful because of these ocean-loving mongrels of mine. so, naturally i needed to get it detailed. don't think i didn't look for something in marin, because i did. couldn't find anything that seemed to fit the bill, so down to mountain view i went. i happened to be taking a meeting down there, so in the morning before my meeting, i dropped it off. nice guy working there gave me a ride back to my meeting, and when i came back at noon to pick up my car, it was in tip-top shape. not a dog hair or slobber to be found, and the car smelled new and fresh. i love these guys. now if only they would open a location in marin! read more

I called Perfection on a Wednesday morning, and they had a Thursday morning slot open so I took it. The service was super helpful and friendly - I got a good feeling about it right away. This was the first time we tried Perfection and definitely not going back. I dropped our car for detailing and my wife picked it up in the evening. My wife saw a mat missing from the boot, and asked them. They bluntly lied and said it was never there. She assumed it might have been so and came home. Now irrespective of us talking to them, they refuse to admit they misplaced the mat or if the mat was even there in the first place. Ridiculous. At least admit your mistake if you misplaced it -- they would prefer to lie to you than try to figure out what happened. read more
