Sloppy work. I had to take several items back multiple times and each time they were done either incorrectly or so poorly that it was incredibly frustrating. I don't like to write reviews but I had to say something. I took my dress to have a zipper put in. Easy right? I came back 2 weeks later which gave her more time and it was not done. Ok I know she is busy with wedding dresses I understand. However, when I came back 2 weeks later and she said "To tell you the truth I didn't do it because I don't think it will look good and I don't have time" that bugged me a bit. I have been going to Perfectly fit for years but will never go back again! I took my dress down the street to another alterations place in Los Gatos had it done in a week and it looks great!! If you don't want to do something or you are to busy for your customers maybe you should tell them in advance. read more

I had my wedding dress altered here, based on the recommendation of the bridal shop where I purchased my dress. Overall, I highly recommend this place. Mahtab did a very nice job with my dress, and her prices are quite reasonable (I think I paid $110 for a hem, a small bustle change, and a little bit of take-in work at the top of my zipper). Her shop is cute, too -- it's got sort of a Parisian thing going, which I liked. I was a little bit nervous about having my dress altered here, because there are so few Yelp reviews for this business, but Perfectly Fit did a great job. My dress was quite simple, but I suspect PF could easily handle more elaborate dresses. Overall, this place provides a great blend of cost & benefit. Definitely recommended! read more

I am writing this review for my wife Michelle (in Michelle's words): I purchased my wedding dress in Los Gatos and the shop owner recommended I go to Perfectly Fit and see Mahtab Vatani, for tailoring. Mahtab is personable and professional and settled my nerves right away. The train on my dress was short, about three or four feet and Mahtab offered to make me a bustle. This made me nervous again but, I agreed and I'm glad I did. The alterations, bustle and train turned out beautifully and I am so grateful. I also had two Chinese long dresses for an event later that week. Mahtab did additional tailoring and it was beautiful work. Mahtab is patient, knowledgeable, and very experienced. I walked into Perfectly Fit by accident looking for another alteration place I saw on Yelp. When I walked in she was so nice and made me feel very comfortable. I needed to get my "mother of the bride" dress altered and she did a fabulous job. It fit perfectly when I tried in on at pick up. Good seamstress, but the worst customer service. I have been by their shop twice in the past year and even though they are supposed to open, they are closed, or "shut" as the door sign reads. I even asked if I should make an appointment today and they said "no". I left work early to get there only to find a closed shop! If it happened once, that would be understandable, but it's happened multiple times. Only go here if you call right before and get their commitment that they will be open when you arrive. read more

Mahtab can do amazing alterations on dresses with difficult seams etc. I love her work and will continue to take more difficult pieces to her as another seamstress I go to for simple things doesn't seem to want to touch the more complex designs. The only reason I am giving Perfectly Fit 3 stars instead of 4 is because Mahtab can be hard to reach and usually needs at least two weeks to alter. read more

There is no answering device and no way to leave a message to get an update or confirm is job is complete. From a customer service prospective this set up is quite frustrating. I found Perfectly Fit because my friend had her wedding dress done here, she heard about it from a friend too. I had my wedding dress altered here. I bought a sample which fit me perfectly and then I lost some weight and had to have it taken in. When I bought it, the sales ladies at the store had me convinced that all it needed were a few minor alterations- they lied. It turns out it needed much more- there were two damaged areas from other people trying it on, it needed to be taken in in two places, it needed to be hemmed and a bustle needed to be added. Because the bottom had many layers of underskirts and tulle, the hemming and bustling job turned out to be a really big and complicated alteration job. Mahtub handled it with ease. She is a true professional. My dress ended up fitting perfectly and I was so happy with how it looked. My alterations weren't cheap- it ended up costing way more than I had budgeted. I was sort of shocked when I saw the final bill. But you get what you pay for and I got expert alterations, two well managed fittings , good advice and a dress that fit me perfectly.
