I absolutely love this place! I once was taken advantage of at a Jiffy Lube so I was nervous about outside mechanics that aren't the dealer. Then I had issues with the dealership and I came across these guys since my parents live close. I have absolutely loved my experiences here. The guys are super nice, answer all my questions, never make me feel dumb for not knowing car things, have never taken advantage of me, always try and hook me up with a deal, and they even told me to bring in my own synthetic oil to save money; they told me exactly what they would recommend and it saves me almost $20 every time. I now only trust these guys with my car and no one else. Oh, and unlike most places that take forever to do an oil change, these guys have never taken any longer than 20 minutes. read more

I bought a car off craigslist and before I could get it home it started smoking. I noticed this shop on the right so I pulled in to find out what was wrong. When I first walked up the employees were very polite and helpful. Turns out I had a blow head gasket. They gave me a very reasonable price and had my car done within 3 days. my car broke down the day before thanksgiving. I called AAA. when the tow truck driver came, the car started right up. anyway he suggested I take it to this shop since it was right the street. I followed him there. the guys at the shop were all nice and it was after 5 pm on the night before thanksgiving. I couldn't wait to get off work a few hours earlier and was really appreciative of their patience. also the car didn't start again once it was at the shop so I was appreciative to the tow truck for suggesting I take it in. it's obviously wasn't a one time no start situation. they said it could be several things and that they would work on it fri morning and it would probably be done by fri afternoon. I got a all about 3 pm on fri telling me it needed crank shaft sensor and ignition coil. asked if wanted them to proceed. said they need to order the parts and put them in and the car will be ready by 4. I'm like, you didn't order the parts yet, but the car will be ready in an hour? wow. ummm. ya ok go ahead. I was bummed that it was going to be so much. quoted .. crankshaft sensor 138.00 ignition coil 158.99 labor 170.00 tax 26.07 total bill 494.05 sucks! but I could never do it myself and sometimes car repairs are pricey! I picked the car up. one again, all employees are super nice. it started right up. for the heck of it I checked online for prices of those parts replaced the day after I got the car back. crankshaft sensor online at autozone is 59.99 performance charged me 138.99 ignition coil at autozone is 128.99 performance charged me 158.99 that's $109 mark up on the parts! I understand a mark up. the fees for ordering, picking up etc... but I don't think a mark up this high is justified. so I am a little disappointed. knowing very little about cars I like to feel like I can trust a car repair shop. I expect to pay. I don't expect them to do it for free. I just don't want to feel like I've been ripped off. I would probably go to this shop again. but I would probably get the parts myself to save money. read more

Incredibly fast, friendly, and efficient service. Tony let me set an appointment and was immediately ready to start the smog test on my car when I arrived. The waiting area was very nice (clean restroom and free craft coffee and drinks) but no sooner had I gotten comfortable when Tony told my ride and all the paperwork was completed. The team at Performance Auto Care are definitely top notch. My most recent trip inspired me to write this review as it was very much deserving of my praise. I brought my car in for an oil change, tire rotation, and to have my driver's side power door lock checked (it wasn't moving with the car alarm click or the in-cab power lock switch). After leaving my car with them for about five hours, they called me and let me know that they could not figure out what was causing my power lock to not actuate and directed me to a car electrician for help. They also let me know that they do not feel that it would be a good idea for me to rotate my tires as they were already in bad shape. When I arrived to pick up my car, they only charged me around $30. That is insanely cheap for five hours of labor, but it turns out that they weren't going to charge me for the diagnostics they performed on the door lock seeing as they couldn't 100% figure out why it wasn't working. They also didn't charge me for a tire rotation since they didn't actually perform one. After bringing my car home, I noticed that the car alarm wasn't arming. It would actuate the passenger door lock, but it wouldn't actually arm the alarm. I could open the door and start the car with no problems even though the car alarm should be on. I brought it back to Performance Auto Care (after getting the door lock fixed at the car electrician) and let them know what was wrong and they said they would take it in and take a look at what happened. They (and I) assumed that something was simply unplugged. Again, they couldn't figure out what was wrong after another five hours and told me that they will send it to the car electrician themselves and have him fix it. Once it was fixed, I went back down the repair shop to pick up my car and they said that none of this was charged to me. 10 hours of labor and an outside consultation (a huge hit to their overall profits for this pay period) and they just did the right thing instead of making any kind of attempt to have me recoup their costs. I don't see this kind of good honest work often enough and I felt that I needed to let you all know. If you need your car checked out, send your car to Performance Auto Care. I likely won't be sending mine to anyone else. read more

I went to triple AAA to get my registration renewed. Came to find out I needed to get my vehicle smogged. I had to drive across town to performance auto care but was worth the drive. I asked my father who was the best in thrown and he referred me to these guys. The professionalism and efficiency will be the reason i will be back as a customer. read more

They were working on other cars, so the estimated time was about 2-3 hours, but they managed to get my car done in less than 30 minutes! They didn't try to upsell any other services. I stumbled on this Auto shop about a year and a half ago. They are next to the Shell station. I figured what ever they were going to charge was going to be cheaper then a tow to the guy I was using at the time. There I met Sammy and was given better prices. They have never over charged me or tried to get me to have work done that wasn't really needed. They have been fair honest and told me if the work is needed right then or if I have a little wiggle room in when stuff got done. I suggest calling ahead of time and making an appointment to get your car in. I think word has gotten out about how good these guys are. Oh don't forget they Warrenty their work for two years or 24,000 miles on most things they do. read more

Recently took a car back to performance auto to fix a problem when my gear shift broke. After getting it towed there, they tried to tell me I needed to replace a part and it would cost 500 dollars so I called around to get a second opinion and come to find out my year and model of car doesn't even have that part in it to begin with! So I feel like they were definitely trying to rip me off for things I didn't even need. Kind of shady and I should've learned from the last time when they fixed the wrong thing on my car and then charged me for it and then charged me again to fix the actual problem. I gave them another try because I've had family and friends recommend this place but based on these experience I Would not recommend. read more

Trusted this location for over 2 years. However when advised that something needed to be replaced I spent over $200 just to have the same problems reoccur. In addition, when going back to check what the problem was, he said I had to spend EVEN MORE MONEY just to do the analysis. So I spent all that money for my car to still be broken.
