Yet another update in the mechanic shop from hell. I already wrote my review with pictures and proof of the timeline of how Adam destroyed my interior, got pain splattered onto my car and how my back up camera never works.. then he threatens me to take my review down.. now, it continues months later with him harassing me on Facebook groups. I took my SUV with 177k miles to the Dealership who told me it needed $3100 in wiring replacement. I showed the receipt to Hai who diagnosed my car and found only 1 wire that needed replacement and quoted me far less. In fact got my whole Transmission and a new Torque converter done their for the same price as what the Dealership wanted for a total lie! This review is long overdue. The owner Hai Tran stole my Motorhome. He got my signature to OK a transmission seal. Then lied to me stating I needed a new transmission and started working on my transmission before I ever said I wanted a new one. Then he said it took hours and hours to work on it when my boyfriend was inside of the motorhome the entire time. Then when I asked for the parts on my old transmission he would not give them to me. It is because he never replaced my transmission but he gave me a bill like he did. He stated I owed him $4,860 for 3 hours of work. So I am on the last day to bring him the money because I was backed into a corner to sell my RV. I brought a buyer to buy my RV to pay $16,000 that day. Instead of taking the money he drove my RV away with everything I owned inside of it totaling $80,000. This Man needs to be put in jail. read more

I've needed a new clutch on my 1993 Toyota MR2 for a while, and finally had the work done at A Plus Transmission. Hai and the guys were able to complete it within a day and a half (a very complicated job due to the mid-engine design). I also had a fairly major oil leak, which they diagnosed and fixed at a very reasonable price. Overall, I'm very happy with their work and pricing, and would recommend them for any transmission issues. read more

Worst place evwe! "Hi" the owner fixed my transmission for my 2005 BMW 325i wagon. It been the transmission from helll ever since. I have took it back 2 times cuz it keeps breaking well today j went again for the third time and my car waz refused service cuz "Hi" sold the company and now some guy named Adam owns it. Horrible customer service. ..horrible workmanship on such a beautiful car. I have had so many problems I was forced to buy a new car. Dont ever go here they will take your money and treat you just like you are just another number. read more

BEWARE First off... I never post, good or bad but this time I'm compelled to help people make good decisions. Jim at A Plus Transmission is a seemingly nice person but he's as dumb as a stump and their techs are incompetent. They worked on my son's jeep for month and when we got home all the transmission fluid had leaked out. They said they would fix it and it was back again for 2 weeks and they couldn't figure out where to get a special seal. So, I went to pick it up "AS-IS" They charged me full price for work they never did and MADE ME PAY CASH!!! Jim is a straight up Thief. We'll be filing suit very soon. read more

I give Adam and his team an A Plus for the work they did on my 20 year old Jeep Wrangler. I brought it to them with the rear differential screaming and grinding away. I took it the Jeep dealer first only to learn that wanted me to take out a loan to repair it. Adam told me what he was going to do, the cost (a third of what the dealer said) and how long it would take. He delivered as promised. My Jeep drives like and sounds like a new Jeep. i would recommend him to anyone needing trans or differential work knowing there will be a positive outcome. read more

Being a girl who doesn't know too much about cars I'm always very skeptical when coming to mechanic shops, but wow the owner of this shop was not only super friendly but he showed me exactly what was wrong with my car and what needed to be fixed. There was no pressure at all! He is a very honest guy and I felt happy to know my car was in good hands. His prices are fair and he did an amazing job. THANK GOD I CAME HERE! My car was driving pretty bad for a few days and I went to a few shops to get it checked out. I think because I was a girl, alot of them tried to rip me off because I would call my bf and he would tell me that their bill was tooooo expensive. So I found A Plus Transmission through one of my customers at work and they highly recommended Hai. They said he is very reasonable with the prices and he does an excellent job so i thought " why not". Took my car there the next day & he was surprisingly very nice unlike some of the jerks i met at the other shops. He took my car for me and returned it within the next day for an awesome price! My 98 Tacoma automatic finally gave up reverse gear and the forward gears were starting to slip so I needed to bring it into a shop to get work done. A friend recommended this place and I'm glad I took it here. The price was more than reasonable and the service was top notch! Hai got my truck fixed in 3 days and the transmission shifts great! My Tacoma has 230k miles and I'm hoping to get into the 300k range thanks to Hai and A Plus Transmission! read more

Hai and Danny took very good care of me and were able to rebuild my transmission after I had 3 shops tell me I had to get a new one. Not only did they save my transmission but they did it in one day and the difference I saved was $3000.00 otherwise I would have had to sell my car for scraps ! Thanks guys! read more

My 1997 Honda Civic had been make a loud rattling noise and was in bad shape when I came to A Plus Transmission. I had previously stopped in for a free diagnostic at a different transmission repair shop boasting a lot of fancy certifications and credentials. I left after 2 minutes when after describing my problem to them, it became apparent they were giving me all sorts of bogus repair possibilities and seemed too busy to deal with me. My parents recommended A Plus Transmission to me after getting the transmission on their Toyota Avalon rebuilt, so I took my car there the next day. I noticed the staff was very friendly and the waiting area and bathroom were clean (always a plus). Hai, the owner, was very straightforward and diagnosed my transmission problem immediately. On top of that, I felt like he was trustworthy, competent, knowledgeable, and wasn't trying to rip me off like so many other places do. His prices were very reasonable. I ended up getting a new clutch as well as the bearings replaced in my transmission and the repairs were completed in two days as promised. My car has never run better, and I feel like I'm driving a brand new car! I highly recommend A Plus Transmission and Hai for transmission repair. read more

I shopped for the best Transmission repair place and ended up to this A Plus transmission repair place. Hai is very knowledgeable person in transmission area. He explained to me everything about the transmission that I need to know. He also found that my 2 engine mounts needed to be replaced. Thanks for him to spot these out, so I could have them replaced with very minimum cost impact for transmission work. After discussion, I know I was in the right place and had him fix my transmission for me with very reasonable price ( note that cheapeast price is not always the best as you get what's you pay). So far, my Honda Odyssey runs well and I am very satify with his work. Too bad that I did not know him before for my other Mercedes and BMW transmission problems. Otherwise, make no mistake that I will bring them to him, too.. Good job, Hai and I am sure we will bump into each other in the future again...... Thanks for your work to my car..... read more

I was visiting some friends in San Diego when my '05 Accord broke down. I checked out the local Penny Saver and happened upon this shop. They offered free towing and diagnostic so I thought I would give this shop a shot. I called up Hai and he and had a truck out to me in about 30 minutes. He told me the job normally takes 2 days, but I told him I needed my car back sooner since I needed to get back to work the next day. Luckily he had a replacement unit in stock, so he was able to get the car back to me the next day! read more

Very honest, Quality work, great prices. My 2001 F150 had some serious transmission damage and literally coasted into this shop. My local shop quoted mw $3,800 for a new transmission A Plus did the repairs for $1,800. A few weeks after the repair the transmission started to shift rough. They took in the truck and were honest that a part they had replaced to try to improve the transmission performance was not working as specified so the owner bought the correct part and ate the entire $300 cost, charged me no labor and only charged me for fluid and filter. ($80). Very few shops actually know how to repair transmissions as it is more profitable to just throw in new or rebuilt ones. Hai is unusual in that he REALLY knows transmissions and goes out of his way to do great work and save the customer money. The truck shifts better than new! read more

I'm glad I went to this repair shop. The owner, Kai, is extremely helpful. He is sometimes hard to understand, but he is genuinely interested in helping his customers. He spent a lot of time with me to help assess my car's transmission problem. He showed me exactly where the problem was, which I was glad because I need to see things for myself! He went out of his way to explain every detail of what needed to be done and why. His pricing was much better than the other place I spoke with. Very fair and honest! read more
