I wanted to go from stage 2 to stage 4. They told me that company doesn't work on any Harley with stage two installed by HD because of the oil pump. Furthermore told me to buy a new bike and start all over. WTF never heard a shop say that. Change the oil pump and whatever needs fixed to set it right. $5,000 to $7,000 at another shop I called the same day. PC suggested buy another bike. $40,000 bike + $6,000 title and tax + $5,000 to $7,000 for stage 4 = $51,000-$52,000. Are you crazy. Wow read more

Rolled into Performance to see if they would service my 2005 American Ironhorse LSC. I had called around to other shops but most are not equipped to handle choppers. This was not a problem at Performance. They took care of all the service I wanted done and then some. I also had them re-wire my bike to by pass the Thunder Heart EHC. I wanted to ride my HD a few months before posting my review and my view did not change since servicing. I took my 12 CVO Ultra for a Dyno tune and Mikey worked his magic! He took me into the shop and explained every detail of the process and showed me examples of other machines performance gains. While I had the bike there, Joe took care of me and was able to immediately get me into the shop for the 10K service. Once they were done with the 10k service, Mikey took the bike into the dyno to start the tune. I was able to watch the initial process but had to leave before he finished. The end product is awesome! For no other mods other than exhaust, the machine moves along! Heat is down a bit and my roll on throttle is more responsive. This is definitely a hidden gem in El Cajon with great folks working there. Big shout out to Mikey! He definitely knows his business!! read more

Had my dyna done with the screamin eagle tuner but a mistake was made, they did with the tts instead. Though it might be a better tune I was not prepared to pay the extra money for it. Bill was over 1k. The day I got it back, I noticed that Mike had my "map" displayed on the computer with a different name, he deleted it and wrote my name on it and said it was mine. Whatever I thought, the bike works so I rode it home. Later that I was riding around the neighborhood and it blew a head gasket, (the one that Len said would work.) So I decided to put screamin eagle high compression gaskets meant for my setup, which they said only THEY CAN GET. I went across the street and bought those same gaskets for 44$. I asked them to return it, which they agreed due to the bad advice they gave as far as gaskets. Mike had my bike for over a month with the constant, "call back in a couple days." Finally, they said it was ready, Mike then told me, "I rode it around and didn't notice a thing, I didn't have to tune it." "So you had it for a month and didn't do anything?" I replied. A week or so later I decide to look at the flash he gave that supposedly had my map on it {the VE chart} and what do you know....shit was blank. The bike was there for months, 'which I had no problems with' but I felt nothing was done right. I'll be taking my bike to Huntington beach Hogs fir a cheaper price and and hopefully a better outcome. read more

Last week my friend who is disabled and a senior we took his Dyna and V rod in to get running. My friend told them to get them running and adjust the valves on the V rod. They called the next day saying one of the fabs were fried so they had to order a new fob and the cable to communicate with the V rod and wouldn't have them until the following Monday. They called that next week ( last week) saying the bikes were ready to pick up. Now my friend lives 60 miles away and has delt with this shop many times in the past so this is why he trusted them with his bikes. This is where it all goes south. The bill came to $650.00. Joe went over the invoices with a friend of my friendssince he is disabled and couldnt come with to get his bikes myself and another friend were going to ride the bkes back to the mountains. they said they had to buy a new battery without authorizing it with the owner and charged 122.00$ to install it (Burned) because the new one we just put in the V rod was the wrong battery(we just bought it from a battery shop for that bike) . Also said he took a vaulve cover off and checked one set and they didn't need it. (After further inspection at home , no cover was removed. It was obvious no cover was removed. Also said he just programmed one fob for both bikes (where was the new fob?) gave us a fob he said was burnt and said heres the new fob. We went to leave and got 2 blocks away and the V rod was falling on its face, cutting out and popping and was'nt going to go anywhere. Went back to the shop and told them the V rod was falling on it's face , Joe looked at me and said yeah. I told him its no good and he tells me "He said to get them running not make them road worthy" Quote. I asked him what he was talking about he said it runs and I told him no thats not right, thats's not running. He say's it runs, it idle's! I told him he was playing on words. We all know running means rideable. We took the dicussion outside and i told him you can rev it and tell it's not right. Joe say's and I quote again"he didnt tell us to rev it". I called my friend who the bikes belonged to and he wanted to talk to Joe and Joe responds " I don't want to talk to him he had a stroke he can't talk" ! I said you'll take the mans money but you won't talk to him, he said no. WE argued about the term run and I looked him in the eye and said , you and I know this is Bullshit your just playing on words and he looked at me and paused then say's na it's not . Then he say's they couldn't test ride it because the tires were flat and the tags were out of date. Then I started to bring up the fact that this same shop when they were in La Mesa did me wrong years ago and cut me off and told me to and I quote again " GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE I'm not talking to you no more" ! SO Joe leaves me sitting in the parking lot with the owners who is on the phone, a bike that won't run even after I told him the owner just wanted them to make it right and declined to do so then dog's me until they close and didn't say another word. It gets better. After sitting in the parking lot for about 5 hours until the owner could arrange to get the bike back home we find that the bike has a number of codes that keep coming up and the invoice for both biked say, test ride ok! How's that? He was very adiment about not being able to test ride due to the tires and registration and if the reprogrammed the ecm like they said the bike should have ran in the terms we know as running! Then the fact of we gave them 2 fobs to start with supposedly ordered a new one but only gave us 2 after saying heres the new one then we find that is the original fob, so wheres the new one. Theres more to this story but I'm gonna end it here, FOR NOW. Joe you did Tony way wrong and you know it. You were more UNPROFESSIONAL than ANY company I've ever delt with and did a loyal customer dirty. You were so rude with me because I called you on your shit, plain and simple. Own it dude We're just getting started on this ordeal. You made NO attempt to right this very wrong situation and thats dirty bussiness. I added nothing but only stated the truth of what happened that day and was nice enough not to put all the dirt in this review. Dont know what to say except damn dude really? Oh yeah Tonys friend was on the phone with me when you bagged on him about the stroke comment and other dirt you said. No back peddeling my friend. 2011 CVO Street Glide. I bought this bike from a friend in Pensacola Florida. , he informed me the bike was tuned with a TTS tuner by the best on the East Coast. When I showed up to performance choppers to have my wife's 2014 done with new exhaust system new TTS tuner new headers and a complete tune up on the dyno by Mikey ,I was informed just from a quick glance that my bike was not properly tuned. Mikey asked me who turned your bike? I'm just curious because there's no reason there should be any bluing on your pipes near the heads. Mikey said, I can fix that problem for you. I will make your bike run better than it runs now ,give you more fuel economy and make the engine run cooler and more efficient. Holy cow he really woke up my bike. he was right, the guy did not tuned it properly . he put a canned tune on it and a standard stage 1 jet tune and manipulated some fuel charts to get more performance but did not do the job properly. Mikey put my bike on the dyno and upgraded my TTS tuner to the current 2015 software then the magic happened! adjustments were maid, the tunes were adjusted and man this bike runs like it never did before! I rode the bike for 4 months with the current tune on it that it had before Mikey got a hold of it Mikey really knows his stuff. He really brought out maximum performance of the bike will giving it 5 more miles to the gallon fuel efficiency 4 more horsepower and 5 more foot pounds of torque. 101 horse and 121 foot pounds of torque! Bang!(this bike was supposed to be tuned the BEST possible in Florida. ( Really?) I have never been more excited to ride a motorcycle then I am to ride this bike after being tuned on the Dyno by Mikey at performance choppers. If you have the time when you are getting your bike tuned watch Mikey do the job and you'll know he will educate you during the whole process you'll feel like you can do the job that he does even if you really can't lol. The whole staff makes you feel like family and when the job was done I felt like Mikey became my new friend. Thank you so much Mikey for bringing out all the performance in my bike while sharing your knowledge. Nowadays, excellent customer service is a rarity. My experience at Performance Choppers was even rarer. I had a screaming new e,hast system that needed tuning. Mikey was amazing. He gave my husband and I detailed explanation of what he was Going to do. He spent at least 6 hours intimately fine tuning my Softail Heritage. Afterward, Mikey showed us the results of his 160 point tuning. My girl is now faster, runs cooler and more efficiently. And her deep throaty growl is heard long before we arrive! There were at least 6 bikes that I looked at that were damn near mint condition, customized and well within my price range of 7K. The staff is knowledgeable and willing to take the time to share information and answer any questions you might have. The bikes are set at wholesale prices and most have all the extras you could ever want to put on your bike without having to spend the extra money. I told Lenny my price range was around $7500 and he found me the perfect bike for me with a mean, custom engine with more power than I could ask for and beat my price range by about 2K.
