I really like finding owner/operators like Konstantin. Sounds cliche but when you own a business and interact directly with the customer and provide them a service, you're much more likely to care about what you're doing. I needed a front fork seal rebuild on my bike. I'd gone by a big local place up in Kearny Mesa (won't name) and dude was dismissive, like 'ah yeah a couple hours to pull the forks, a couple hours to rebuild...but we're a month out to get you in'. Acted like he didn't want my business and wouldn't even provide a number 'uh yeah like $130/hour times 4 hours, and yeah parts too'. Gel haired, flat brimmed, frosted tip 50 year old goofball. SD moto did a 24 hour turnaround. Yep, actually less than 24 hours. They preemptively got the parts (he paid for them) dropped bike off Friday, picked up Saturday. Beyond happy. I was having my 2006 Kawasaki Zx10R serviced by a cycle shop closer to my area for years called (motozone) on el cajon blvd but one day the main mechanic there named Roger told me my bike was too old for them to work on so I then stopped going there & I woiuld not recommend them to anyone. I then came across SD moto repair & found brother constantine. He is a 1 man worker but he does work at a fair price, & does it a good time frame & i have been taking my ZX10R to him for some years now for oil changes, tire changes, brake & master cylinder work, front & rear sprocket & chain replacement etcc.. he was even able to find me a replacement fairing for my Zx10R which are hard to find now because of my bikes age & he helped me today (9/13/25) properly fit a green rear seat cowl on my ZX10R that I bought on Ebay that is seen in this photo. I would reccomend him to any rider that needs their cycle serviced for fair pricing, good work & good turn around time. He also doesn't tell his customers "your cycle is too old" as the motozone mechanic told me years ago. read more

I called around to several shops for an estimate on suspension work. SD Moto beat the other shops' estimates so badly that I figured they must have misunderstood what I wanted. Some of the other shops wanted twice what SD Moto quoted me and said the price was only good if I disassembled the suspension. I took my bike to SD Moto fully expecting that once we talked in person the estimate would be much closer to what the other shops wanted. I could not have been more wrong. During that weekend I was in a bad wreck involving a drunk driver who was on the wrong side of the freeway. Cut to....waking from a coma several weeks later. I then call to tell this konman that I'd be by to get it and that I was in a coma and couldn't get it. I had triple a with cycle coverage so it's not like it was a big deal. I come to find out when calling that day that he wouldn't be back in the country till oct. 13th. I call then only to find out he sold my bike never making any attempts to even notify what he would do. My family had my phone and were taking down everything that would've been important in my life and the bike was one of these yet not a single call came in. I will be taking this asshole to court! Arriving it's a rather small bike shop. I pulled my 18 Ninja 650 ABS up front and was greeted by the owner and skilled moto mechanic Konstantin. I contacted the shop via email prior to in order to have an oil change and tires replaced. They gave me some very reasonable quotes for the two jobs. They even went as far as allowing me to ship my new tires through Revzilla directly to the shop! Now that was convenient. I was asked how soon I needed it complete and responded 'ASAP'. I was told at most 2 hours. I chilled in the front of the store for about an hour and was notified my bike was ready. Konstantin printed out an invoice and sure enough the quote I was provided over the email matched. Super resonable price. Everything was performed quick and flawlessly, & Konstantin made sure my ride was up to par prior to me departing. The place was near my work so I went to check it out. I think I went during Thanksgiving and Constantine said they would be open. Pretty awesome. I just needed to change out 2 tires and was charged their basic price. Dropped my bike off and picked it up an hour later. Noticed the yelp app has a $5 off coupon and some deals on there like $85 for $100 deal. I tried to use it but Constantine didn't honor the yelp coupon. He said he knows nothing about it. I thought that was weird. He also didn't really give me feedback about the chain, which was a little seized and he mentioned that he didn't like it. I guess he is a pretty nice guy though. Constantine is GREAT! My Harley was having some issues and I stopped by, he ran a diagnostic test and worked on my bike for almost an hr. Of course, when at his shop my bike was running without issues. Constantine didn't charge me for ANYTHING and actually recommended I go to a Harley Shop. After a couple of weeks, the issues came back and I went back to see Constantine. He did another diagnostic and we found the issue to be a wiring issue. He wasn't sure if he would be able to fix it and said he would work on the bike and if it couldn't fix it he would NOT charge me!! I've never experienced this with any other shop!! Constantine took great care of me and my Bike, had an extremely quick turnaround, and charged me less than other repair shops. I finally found a place that treats their customers as they should be treated. STEVE WAS AWESOME VERY ATTENTIVE. He would text you the progress ( photos if needed) and responds to you in a timely manner. Unlike other major shops that treat you like cattle and ignore you until it's paying time. SD motor is actually less pricey than the major shops. Best part is they are very clean. I didn't end up with oil all over my bike like the other places. I have the same man every time I go there, he knows my bike and knows I don't have the best insurance. He diagnosed my problems almost instantly and has amazing accuracy in quoting prices on the spot. I got my handlebar replaced in two days, that's one and a half days shipping and two hours to get it on and call. He also fixed scratches from someone tipping over my bike for free because he knew the quick fix, on top of the low cost of an oil change and maintenance. Great service! I called them on Friday 11AM because my good old Suzi C50 won't start. They came before 1pm to pick it up (it was not an emergency call). They had run diagnostics, and quickly found the problem - dead clutch switch. Next day I was happy to pick up my daily workhorse. I have a 2007 honda cbr600rr with a little over 10k miles now. I was riding and suddenly the bike started shutting off on me. This shop was the closest to my house and because of their great reviews, I decided to give them a try. The mechanic found the problem in less than 10 mins and even let me check it together with them. Found out the issue was the killswitch. The price is very cheap for the awesome job they do. Both owners are very nice and they treat you like family. They even inspected my bike to check for any other issues. I got a phone call and an email as a reminder that my bike is done and ready for pick up. Also a phone call a few days before to let me know the estimated time. I definitely recommend this place for any biker out there that is looking for an awesome shop. Both owners are bikers too and they definitely know what theyre doing.
