Top notch customer service!…read more Bryce was awesome. He helped me with my tire purchase/service and afterwards saw me browsing gear. He was very in depth with his explanation of different ratings on each types of gear. You can tell he's very experienced with riding. I'm not sure if he's a manager, but if not, he needs a promotion Miguel at the front was outstanding as well. After my payment, he researched an oil filter for my bike. He had to do a little extra digging but found a good value for my KLR. Great customer skills They both went out of their way to make sure my questions were answered thoroughly about my products and services before purchase. I really appreciated their time. Highly recommend Cycle Gear!

After searching online first I drove down to this location although I'm 10 min away from San Marcos location because they had a bigger selection. I had a helmet in mind but once I got to the store I saw sooooo many other options. Liv was extremely knowledgeable about fit and helmet integrity which heavily influenced my purchase. Because my size was not in stock I was provided the option to have my helmet shipped to my home at no additional charge. It arrived within a week. The store also offers a wide selection of almost every riding product for all types of riders. I understand the challenge to staff for varying customer volume but I docked 1 star due to a long wait (I wasn't even acknowledged for at least 20 min) especially after coming from San Marcos. Just give yourself time if you will need personal assistance.

Best buying experience in my entire life, and I am not exaggerating…read more First of all: this dealership has no "hidden fees". NO ADM, no gimmicks, no sales speech, no "BS". They won't even be trying to push financing, or try to sell you any extended warranty or service plan. Nothing. Therefore I didn't even think about negotiating anything. I went online to reserve the vehicle I really wanted. After you are done with the online reservation, you get a draft bill of sale right away by email with your final OTD price (again, no markup, you get MSRP+transport+taxes). It takes about 1 minute, literally. You need a $300 deposit via credit card to complete this step. Fair. I showed up to write a check and get my vehicle. The whole process took 18 minutes total, I almost didn't have time to take photos for yelp (!) AND I got a physical, final, hard license plate too, not even a temporary one, on a brand new vehicle. I worked with Melo from the sales department. Nice, competent, professional awesome guy. I can only highly recommend this motorcycle dealership. Best experience ever. I don't think I'll go anywhere else for my next motorcycle(s)! (and I buy a lot of those, every other year...)

A great place for motorcycle gear!…read more After destroying the laces on my motorcycle shoes and ultimately throwing them out, I've been riding with a pair of slip-on Vans. Not long after doing so I decided it was time to buy another pair. Lazy, and not looking to drive too far from home, I came across this place on Yelp. I never would have guessed that there was a place close to me other than Cycle Gear. Immediately I rode over and arrived maybe 30 minutes before their closing time. It wasn't hard to find the place at all. I walked in and was greeted by Bryan, who showed me around and help me find what I was looking for. They have a good amount of protective gear available such as helmets, gloves, shoes, Kevlar jeans, and boots. They also have Quad Lock products and other motorcycle related things for sale. Prices on their website don't reflect the discounted price that this store sells gear at. Customer service was excellent, Bryan helped me and did not try to upsell me anything. Very cool dude. Parking wasn't hard to find as I arrived when most of the neighboring businesses are closed (I'm assuming). Plenty of spots in the front. I recommend this place to current and future riders!

I had just moved to San Diego and read great reviews for a shop down the street but when I go there…read morethey were out of space so I drove home and saw Clairemont on the corner and stopped in. They aren't very friendly like people have said but I'm more concerned with getting my bike tire replaced than pleasantries. I have loved my past cycle shops even when the guys were gruff. It's about the work first and foremost. Cut to a year later and I have found a great shop recommended by co-worker and I ask them why my rear tire only lasted 800 miles of very light commuting? It had metal bands showing! Turns out It was the wrong tire for my bike and was designed for smaller lighter bikes not my bigger touring bike. The load index matters more than you think! I think they sold me what they had on their shelf. I suppose its on me to know my load index but I can now say my new shop would make sure I got the correct tire because they are purist they would even go so far to tell me no If I showed up with wrong tire because they care most about doing quality work. Come to think of it I'm pretty sure they covered their butt's when they sold it to me saying something like "This is a sport tire and wont last as long", NO this tire is not rated for my bike and is a very bad idea. Prices were fair and work was done in reasonable time. So not a bad shop, but I want something more. And to reviews that say they have a great inventory, very suspicious those are real. They have NO inventory at all I remember like 10 tires on the wall, that should have been a warning.

TWO WHEELS UP AND RUNNING (5 stars)…read more Mobile service to the rescue! I've called around and this one seemed the best and most responsive. There are simple jobs to be done for easy money but finding people willing to do it is the challenge! I am lucky Dridox provided mobile service and came to my home to take of services I need... call service ($75) battery replacement ($65 + $29 for battery) and oil change ($85) , maybe tank flush if it didn't start up after the battery replacement. This is what I get for letting my two wheels sit idle in the garage during the winter months collecting dust. I reached out, got a quote, and scheduled the service with Adriano. I had intentions to do this all myself but didn't have all the tools and would like to see it done first before taking a hand at it... also eager to ride and want these services done ASAP! Adriano arrived early/on time, charged my battery and tested it (def needed a new one), replaced my battery, hooked up my charger device (recently bought it and didn't know it's needed for maintenance), it started so I didn't need a tank flush, but went ahead with an oil change since I was overdue. I did tell Adriano I been nearby g to do this on my own so he did show me how-to and what tools and what to look for or be careful of, which I super appreciate his professionalism and expertise. My little two wheels was probably a cake walk to what he is use to servicing. Within the hour all was done. If bigger jobs need to be done such as engine rebuild - they do that too and can rack your two wheels to their shop. The business accepts credit cards, Venmo, and Zelle. The motorcycle shop that usually serviced my two-wheels for years stopped providing service and only to Surrons going forward... they gain some but lost a lot of the only tailor to only a specific kind. My choices were 1) Do the services myself 2) Tow it to Fun Bike Center and get it serviced 3) Fine a mobile service to do it. With the impatience of not riding and budget considered, mobile service was best especially when watching and learning to (maybe) do it in the future yourself. For any future assistance with my two wheel maintenance, I'll be giving them a call. I highly recommend their services.
