The doctors are great and thorough with their exams. The staff takes great care in making sure everything is disinfected and in working order. They have a great variety of frames to choose from. Most contact orders take about 7-10 days to arrive, and you can even have it shipped to your house.

They tried to blame the cancelation on their text confirmation system, but had to backtrack when advised of my wife's confirmation call. They had no explanation. I left quite angrily. I brought my son back to school (he had to miss claims for no reason). I then returned to the store and asked for a manager. I spoke to someone and asked how this cancelation could happen. The person apologized but could offer no explanation. They have yet to provide one. I and my son had to lose time during the day for this non-appointment. The staff were unhelpful.

We first selected Dr. Byergo from our insurance list, and the fact they have two offices in our area. However, we have a friend that worked for some very top notch eye doctors in St. Louis that remembered Dr. B from when he interned with this particular group. That was the primary and final factor in our decision. He came highly recommended and we quickly learned why. Since becoming patients we have received excellent treatment not only from Dr. B but his staff as well. If you at looking for quality then this practice is an excellent choice. They have a very good selection of frames and contacts and they always make sure you have exactly what you need. I often describe them as a sit down restaurant versus going to a fast food place. It might take a little more time however it is worth it. Without reservation my family and I recommend Midwest Eye Associates.

Overall the service for my exam was fine but when it came down to buying glasses the sales tactics were obvious and horrible. When I started to question the costs I was given diff excuses trying to justify why my glasses were sooo expensive, even when having vision insurance. They told me that buying the same glasses with my insurance would cost me more based on the funny math used for the lens and bundling pricing. Highly recommend taking your prescription to another company or online to save you a lot of money! Sad!

I was a first timer to this location today, and I would not visit again, unfortunately. The front area looks like it has been renovated or updated fairly recently, but the building is old. The exam rooms are showing their age, and are not well insulated for sound, making them not as private as I'd prefer. The form I was asked read and sign, pre-appointment, could've been straight out of a comic strip... It was a copy of a copy of a copy, it appeared. Black and white, double-sided, and really streaky vertically. Almost impossible to read a line of it, especially given that I was there because I misplaced my last pair of readers a couple of hours before I walked in. So I asked the receptionist about the content, and the purple highlighted sections where I was to sign or initial, assuming it was typical pre-exam patient release form legalese. (It was.) BTW, I went in for a preventative annual eye exam, and as I only wear readers, I'm unable to speak to the experience of purchasing glasses there. Overall, a meh on the exam.
