More than perfect. I had a nice area to sit, read, watch TV, drink coffee. They had decaf. I drank all of it. I watched him going back and forth from different rooms. The first was for another eye evaluation. Nothing wrong with that! The next, I think, was where they give you Valium or somesuch so you're relaxed. He said it was a dark and relaxing room. The third was the surgery room. When he came out, it was done. Holy cow! No glasses required! Upon exit, he got a bag of required materials, along with the appointment cards for the 24-hour review and the one-week review. They've got this thing down. You know what is expected, what you're supposed to do, when you're supposed to show up for the next evaluation.

I also started having more and more frequent headaches, no matter what we did with the prescription. I decided to make a consultation to see if I was eligible for Lasik. I'm so glad I did! The consultation was fantastic. The front desk lady was also a tech and did all my testing before the doctor. She was soooo great and personable. She made me feel so at ease and comfortable. Next, the doctor did some other tests and decided I was a good candidate for LASIK. She was absolutely great as well and told me it would be life-changing for me since my eyesight was so bad. She was right! So, on my procedure day, we were told to be there around 230pm. I can say we waited sooo long before I went back, over 2 hours past my appointment. It was a bit frustrating, but not a huge deal. There were many people there, like way more than I expected to be there. Anyway, once I went back, my eyes were numbed with some drops, then it was showtime! The room with the laser has an "observation" area; my fiance was able to watch the entire procedure through the windows and on the monitor. I thought that was super cool. As far as the procedure went? Easy, so easy. The doctor made me feel so comfortable, talked me through everything, and it was a flawless experience. Makes me wish I did this a decade ago. It didn't hurt at all, and I couldn't believe how easy it was to get through. I had some stinging later that night, but nothing crazy. The next day, some photosensitivity, but nothing I'm not accustomed to anyway. Seriously, an easy experience! This was a great idea and I'm so happy I chose this place to do it.

Dr Ellis did my procedure & honestly in and out in ~10 ish minutes if that. Maybe 5 min lol. Recovery was very very easy. Maybe uncomfortable for 2-3 days but I just took Benadryl around the clock to sleep through those days. I was really happy with the result but over the years noticed I was having issues seeing street signs & horrible night vision. Which I always knew was a possibility so I got the lifetime warranty up front. Now come October 2025, I had some time off work & decided to get an enhancement. I can't wear contacts bc of some eye thing I forget, and I'm too active for glasses. Dr Gaines (again the sweetest person alive) recommended prk this time. Dr Ellis did my procedure again easy peasy but I will say it felt like it took longer? And a bit more pressure/uncomfortable than lasik but I didn't have Valium this time so maybe it was just in my head. It didn't hurt by any means but I think I was a bit more freaked out & in my head. Healing process sucked. Absolutely could not open my eyes for 2-3 days. Tearing up all the time. Horrible horrible. I was back to normal ish after 5 days & even then my eyes were so sensitive to light and I had to rest a lot. And everything was blurry and I won't lie I was spiraling and worried that I was going blind. I can't imagine working immediately after the procedure. I got the protective lens removed after 6th day & I'd say I was able to see everything clearly by then. But I'm two months post enhancement & im very very happy with the results. Dry eyes in the morning is real but I use ointment at night & that helps a ton. TLDR lasik in 2018, prk enhancement in 2025 (horrible recovery). doctors & staff amazing. No regrets.

I had a -10 eyesight so LASIK wasn't an option for me. I filled out the form on his website, received a call within a minute, they asked some more basic questions, scheduled me for an appointment. The appointment was extremely professional with great customer service. They are very upfront and honest about what to and what not to expect. They put everything in very easy to read writing, provide you with videos they developed (you'll recognize many of the staff members from your visit). Was I scared during surgery, absolutely. You just have to put your trust in him. You lay on a table, (in my case) you see a purple light and a white jellyfish thing and about four minutes or so later it's done. You sort of have "underwater vision" right afterwards but by the end of the night I was playing video games. The next day I was driving without issue and there was never any pain at all. 1000% recommended, wish I made the call years ago.

I sent a request through the portal 3 times. I decided to try one more time and someone called me back but the first available appointment was 4 1/2 months out. I've tried to make an appointment in the past that was over a year and they wanted to bill me a fee as a "new patient" since it had been over a year. I also was billed for an office visit 2 years after the date of service. You need to accommodate at least 1 1/2 hours for an appointment. Based off the combination of these things, I've decided to find a new doctor, it is yet to be determined how quickly I'll get my records.

For two separate surgeries the estimate and my payment for just the Surgery Center's part of the surgery was $800 over actual cost to me. When I called the Surgery Center to find out about the reimbursement for the overage of $800 I paid a month ago the representative was rude and said she has no idea when I will receive it. She curtly said it is out of her hands as another company ECB is responsible for the refund. She said there is no way to contact ECB and then told me not to attempt to challenge the estimated payment with my credit card company because the Surgery Center will promptly send out a duplicate bill with the same overestimated amount.
