THIS DEALERSHIP HAS BEEN AWFUL TO ME. At first, they were GREAT. I even gave a down payment on a car the same day I talked to them. MISTAKE. Because of Coronavirus I LOST MY JOB and asked for my down payment back. This was on 3/24/2020 and it is now 4/17/2020 and NO RESPONSE. I called over 7 times, spoke to 5 different people and then TODAY I saw they LOWERED the price on the vehicle I placed the down payment on by $3000!!!! I finally disputed this transaction with my credit card company, the only reason I waited was because I was going to give them the benefit of the doubt during these hard times, but apparently-- PERFORMANCE LINCOLN FORD OF RANDOLPH, NJ ONLY CARES ABOUT THEMSELVES. I have a Ford Explorer ST almost brand new still under warranty and today just 2 days before my family vacation I realized that the third row seat does not fold (electric feature). I cannot fit all my luggage without folding the seat. Called service who told me to come back within 4 weeks since they are very busy....again I am leaving in 2 days.... Explained the situation about my vacation and they told me "sorry" but we cannot help. Service just asked me one question: Did you buy your car here? No? So call the dealership where you have purchased the vehicle. Basically now I have a over 60k$ car and when I need service under warranty I cant get it done to leave on vacation. They don't understand that I am not choosing to bring the car now for service. The car just does not work and need to be fixed now so I can just go and enjoy the vacation. Had a 2011 Mustang GT brought in for a noise, was told it needed engine work for almost 6,000 dollars. I originally refused & considered to sell the car. Service Manager convinced me to fix it saying "its worth it since it's a nice car" went on vacation & when I came back, I picked up the car & the same noises occurred. Came to this dealership for a simple oil change on my brand new bronco sport, and the garage door to the service center fell down on the roof of my truck. I purchased my bronco here and referred 3 people to buy their broncos here. It's nice that they offer free oil changes for life, but what's the point when you leave with a giant dent in the roof? They are liars...they get you in and make all kinds of promises so you leave a deposit and then the next day they change everything and if you decide not to do business with them they try to keep your deposit! 2019 MKC 28,000 miles road noise/transmission shifts very hard. I have had three vehicles now made by Ford/Lincoln. I currently am driving the 2019 MKC. I feel the cabin is very noisy for a so called luxury car. Your service department recently change the oil and it was returned to me with a oil leak. So I decided at this time to inform your service department about the oil leak and the road noise in the cabin. the replaced the wheel bearing and repaired the oil leak. You invoice #FOCS114739. BOught a certified used car and it has hidden paint damage that became visable after a few car washes. reached out to dealer twice via email and sent letter and no one has responded to my concern. i paid $350 to fix the one door and the other door will cost 350-780 which is dependent on their ability to blend the door/quarter panel. Update! Sept 2017, Sales Mgr Joe called me and suggested the the dealership that performed my safety inspection must of damaged the car and covered it up! I purchased a 2017 Lincoln MKZ had 6000 miles on at Performance Ford. This car has a panoramic roof. About 6 months ago we discovered the entire interior of the car floor was wet. When I opened up the trunk the spare tire well was filled with water. When you stepped on the brake it flooded the entire inside of the car out. Performance Ford kept the car for two weeks and claimed they had fixed the leak. Picked the car up it was absolutely filthy and a strange radio channel on my radio.No loner for two weeks I took the car to the car wash opened the trunk there was a little water inside I dried it out . I ran it through the carwash and it had water in the trunk again and so they never fixed it. Didn't bother to check it when they were done. I called the manager a couple days ago that's twice now never got a return call. Now the car reeks of mildew. I took it to a local Lincoln dealer in Wayne and was informed that is not under warranty 180 dollars to diagnosis and an additional $100 deductible on my extended warranty My experience with Performance Ford and Lincoln of Wayne has been terrible and I would never purchase a car from them again. read more

They had my truck for 30 days to replace an engine on my 2018 F150. It was supposed to only be there for 2 weeks at the most and nobody bothered to call me when it was going to be longer. When I called to speak with Bobby, he lied to me stating that it would most likely be done the next day when per my app the truck hadn't even been started in over 14 days. Now I finally got it back and the service charging system soon light came on. I called them regarding this and another service writer had the nerve to give me attitude. CHIPPED MY RIMS; WORST SERVICE and STAFF EVER! I'd gotten general service done to my 2015 Mustang GT and when I got the car back, rims on three of the four wheels were CHIPPED, like the kind that happens when you put a metal object to pull something out, probably in my case, it's the tires while performing tire rotation. I have attached the exact pictures here as well. When I brought this to their attention they shut me down saying that I must have done it or it was already there and they didn't do it, blah, blah, blah. When I asked them a simple question that how could I have damaged the rim without even scratch to the tire, they were irked and shut me down again. It's general knowledge that usually, service departments performs a check before they get to work on the car to spot any damages and make the owners aware to make themselves free from blame, these guys didn't that either, which means that everything was okay with my car. I was incredibly disappointed, irritated and outraged they did this to my car and for the fact that they didn't even have courtesy to hear me out. I will never go back there(I won't have to since I have moved out of NJ) and don't recommended this dealership to anybody. I have raised this matter with Ford as well and they have said that this would reviewed and suitable course of action would follow. Went there to check out a Certified Pre-Owned truck. Prior to going, I had done extensive research on my trade in, including using "Truecar", a friend's" Blackbook" account and getting an offer from another Ford dealer, so I had a pretty solid idea of what my vehicle should trade for. So, after a barrage of questions about how I was planning to pay for my purchase, I explained that I was considering a trade-in and some cash as a down payment. His attention shifted to my trade-in (which I didn't even have at the dealership), so he asks for the VIN so he could run a Carfax. After running the VIN he tells me that it shows the car had been in an accident. I knew this was not correct and advised him of such. He then agrees but says that the Carfax shows "damage reported" (prior to me owning it) and this may be a problem, even though he agrees that the Carfax shows accident free and "damage reported" could simply be a rock chip or a broken windshield. He leaves and returns a few minutes later with a "Truecar" trade in sheet and says," this is what Truecar shows the value of the car at, they automatically take into account the damage that was reported on the Carfax" (which is a lie). I ask to take a look at the "Truecar" trade in sheet, because it was $3000 less then I had been offered a week earlier, and I notice that $2000 has been deducted for "frame damage". So I point to the "frame damage" deduction and ask, what is this? Looking a bit confused he says "the Carfax shows damage reported so we need to deduct something." Again I ask why is "frame damage" (-$2000) listed? Without answering this, he says "that's what we can offer you for a trade in, would you like to move forward?" Needless to say, I left. I'm 45 years old and I've bought several cars over the years. I would never walk into a dealership without having done my homework on the car I'm looking to buy and/or the one I'm looking to trade. This is exactly why people hate going to a car dealership and why car salesmen have such a bad reputation. Do not bring your vehicle here unless you have a specific service you need. These people will look you in the eye and lie straight to your face to get more money out of you. I had a service rep claim my brakes were completely done, had only 2mm of pad material left, and needed to be replaced. They claimed my car was unsafe to drive in its current condition and tried quoting me $1200 for a 'necessary' brake job. When I personally inspected the brakes they had more than 50% of their life left and more than 6mm of pad material. They told me my coolant and air filter needed to be replaced and showed 'heavy signs of wear' even though both had been replaced less than a month prior to their 'inspection.' Performance Ford is a dishonest business. However, they get 2 stars because the work they did actually do was performed well. read more

Scott has change the place inside out. From the service you get to the actual look and feel of the place. He has built a great team who provides world class customer experience. From the moment i called, I am greeted with respect and knowledge receptionist who will helped me arrange drop off and a loaner. The place is open from 7:30 am to 7:00 pm on weekdays, which gives me enough time without taking time off from work. While in service the service advisor made sure that my car is being worked on correctly and keeps you informed. My car was ready when it was promised and it was washed and cleaned. NO HASSLE!!!! I purchased a brand new Lincoln Navigatir from this dealer $90k and now have transmission issues at 38000 miles. It's not drivable and sitting at dealer for days. Dealer has not looked at it and I was told they may not look at it for a month or more due to covid. No issue, I get it but they will not give me a loaner, have never called me (I call them) and general mgr did not return my call. I reached corporate and now contacting a lawyer. What a great experience! Last summer, we had a very specific car in mind and we searched (literally) the entire country for this car. We had originally found "the car" at a Lincoln dealer down in GA, whom ended up kinda screwing us over, so we didn't get the car there, but we got our money refunded so we could keep searching. Found the car we wanted online at Performance Lincoln Ford and called the dealer. The salesman, Ed was extremely knowledgable, polite and professional. I tried to wheel and deal, although I knew we were buying this car, regardless and the price was already pretty awesome. Ed wasn't really biting at any of my negotiation attempts, because he knew it was a good deal, too. He humored me and knocked a few hundred off the price. We live in VA and Performance is in NJ. We were going to have the car shipped to us, sight unseen, but Ed really wanted us to be happy about our purchase and encouraged us to come see the car before buying. We got our Cashier's check to buy the car and headed to the airport. Although I got bumped off the flight due to over-booking, hubby flew up to NJ, where he was met by a Performance rep who drove him to the dealership. Nice touch. They had the paperwork and the car ready to go. Hubby was in and out of the dealership in around an hour, heading home on a four hour+ drive. We have had this car for about 5 months and we love it. We always buy gently used cars - never new - and our 2016 Lincoln is pretty great. We will happily continue purchasing cars from Performance, as the process was effortless. This is the second time I have been to this dealership in the past 7 months. It was as useless as the last time. The first time I was ready to buy a car ( Ford Edge) and walked out thinking, maybe. They let me leave knowing I was going to look at an MDX, which my wife really likes (she has had two already), with the comment that they can do better than the price they gave me, but only if i committed to buy the car. We got the Acura MDX because the Acura dealership in Randolph knows how to treat repeat customers. Yesterday I went back because the lease will be up on my Lincoln MKS in a few months and I wanted to see what deals they might have on 2012 MKS. I made it clear to the salesmen that i was not ready to buy. But as usual at this place they want a deal fast and that day. I was put thru the "tell me what it would take to walk away today with a car" routine. In the end the General Manager spoke to me and essentially told me my number was absurd. The good thing coming out of this is, I will not be going back to this dealership ever again. I have also crossed the MKS off my list of potential cars. The salesman was courteous and explained that the that they did not have very many hybrids there. He let us test drive one, but the model did not impress us. The funniest thing was when the sales manager came over and said "all hybrids are the same", which if you know anything about hybrids, is grossly innaccurate. Felt cheated by the Performance Ford Sales staff, especially John T. Went in and explained my situation, and wanted to get out of my Jeep Patriot, into a Ford Focus. Understood it was a long shot, but was willing to see what they would do. John T. made it clear that they would do whatever it took to help me, and were going to take my Patriot off my hands, and pay the thing off. I was able to get in the Focus that I was interested in, or so I thought. They ran a credit check, and was told that I didn't have the best credit, but since they saw that I made payments and had a Ford before, as John T. put it, I would be getting the 0% interest deal, because I was returning to the Ford family, and Ford helps 'their family'. Shook hands on the agreement, and signed some paperwork. Returned at 6 tonight to pick up the car, and met John who said he was going to have me finish up with Matt as he was going to gas up the car. That's where things changed. When speaking with Matt I was informed that the car wasn't mine at all, and that if I wanted to have the car, it was going to cost me more than I was willing to pay. That quickly ended things, and I walked out. Confused, and double crossed because what I was told was completely different then what was told to me by Matt. The Service Department Lied to me. I went in for one service but that wasn't enough, they had to lie and tell me something else was wrong which would have cost an additional $500. Luckily I had it checked out by two other mechanics and nothing was wrong. They also have signs in their service beds, like must sell everyone an air filter today, hmm. I trusted them, and they did plenty of necessary service on my SUV for over a year but that one big lie cost them my future service and even the purchase of a new SUV when the time comes. I purchased my SUV elsewhere, but I first went to Performance Ford & a salesman refused to lower the price on a Certified SUV even a penny, read the fine print because they charge extra to certify the cars, and I watched the SUV sit on the lot for 5 months until it was sold for what I originally offered. Buyer Beware When buying a new car you should be able to trust that every department will have your back, especially the service department . This has been my experience in the last year, mind you my car is a 2019 . I have brought my car in 12 times for the same problem, and within the year there have been 3 different service department managers. This last one, Alex and his supervisor, Jason are the worst . I have picked my car up 11 times and (as of this writing it is still there for the 12th time) 10 of those times with it being dirty, ripped mats or no mats, garbage left in the back, additional 79 miles each time and no replacement of the gas .. And NEVER sanitized, especially since they are working inside of the car. I have to wait sometime up to 3 weeks for a loaner ... One time I picked it up and they did absolutely nothing when I got home I called immediately and spoke to Jason I asked if he checked my car out before he called to let me know it was fixed, he said NO !!! I said Ok since it is still not fixed I'm coming back to pick up my loaner and his response was no that car is now reserved for a customer, that was 7 o'clock at night .. This was after I already waited two weeks for a loaner. My lease with another manufacturer was ending in a few days and although I had been with that make of car for 20 years I wanted to see what else was out there. A friend had recently visited Performance Ford and spoke so highly of their staff that I decided to go. When I walked into the showroom I was very pleasantly (yet not in an aggressive sales-pitch way) greeted by the manager Doug Reilly. He immediately introduced me to Sales Associate Ryan Peters. Ryan was knowledgeable, courteous, informative and extremely patient. I explained what I was looking for and he immediately had vehicles brought up for me to look at. He made me feel like a queen! He was patient with my trepidation in test-driving an unfamiliar vehicle on Route 10. He really went to great lengths to keep me informed as to all of the vehicle's features. I told him what my not-to-exceed budget was and Ryan and Doug NEVER tried to get me to go higher/out of my financial comfort zone. I explained that I would need help in returning my existing end of lease vehicle back to a dealer in nearby East Hanover and Ryan handled that as well. He drove the old vehicle to the old dealer where I met he and the vehicle for the hand in. Clearly, above and beyond what I ever could have imagined! I met with the Business Manager Matthew Daspin next. He was so pleasant and informative. I wasn't rushed through any aspects of the financial documents. he took his time and went at my pace. Finally, I met with the Delivery Coordinator Joseph Boscarino. he is such a pleasant and down-to-earth man! he explained all of the bells and whistles ... sometimes more than once if I needed it ... and explained it all in way that I understood. He took me out to my car and inputted all of the settings for me. I got the impression that Joe wasn't going to let me leave the lot until I was completely comfortable operating the vehicle! Within the next 24 hours I received e-mails from each and every person that I've mentioned here - asking me if I had additional questions, offering to assist with any questions in the future, and wishing me well. Worse experience ever. I wish I could reverse the deal so they wouldn't make any money at all. Day 1, found two trucks on their website that I liked. I was told they would be there waiting for me to compare. When I arrived they told me I had to take a ride with them ( during rush our) to East Hanover. That's when I should have left. I said no, they said we'll go get them. Over an hour later they showed up. I decided on truck # one. The calculator on their website said they would give me $5,600 on my trade in. Once I got there, $3,500. Day 2, I decided it wasn't worth squabbling over the trade in since I was getting a good deal on the new truck. Preowned certified $29,200 After the flurry of signatures on their fancy computer desk, I was on my way. Fortunately I asked for a paper copy because all you get is a flash drive. When I read it I noticed they charged me over $31,000. When I questioned it they told me that's for the certified part of preowned . I got them to rewrite it for the advertised price. Probably because I was making a scene in the show room. Next up, insurance. As I am writhing this, two weeks later, I finally called my insurance company because I never received a binder.
