    Crispy Chicken Sandwich (Hot)

Shoutout to our local community heroes like Mannie and crew. The venue is clean and spacious. The food choices were a lot more than I anticipated. So many yummy food choices that made picking one entrée very daunting. I went with classics... crispy chicken salad and fresh French fries with a healthy dusting of peri peri magic. I had asked for extra hot sauce and that paired beautifully with the creamy garlic sauce. I got a strawberry milkshake to put out any fires between my bites of crispy crunchy chicken sandwich and my piping hot fries. So delicious, decadent, and filling

Came here for a post-workout meal (Planet Fitness is in the same complex) with a friend. Restaurant was clean and the server was quick to clean the tables after customers leave. It was not very busy when we came in around 7pm on a Monday night. We ordered the Mini Platter with Peri Peri Fries and a Honey Garlic Chicken Sandwich to share. The Mini Platter includes 1/4 Chicken, 2 wings and 2 chicken strips. We asked for the Hot sauce. It was tangy but mid. The chicken itself is fairly bland, so you need a lot of sauce. We asked for the other flavors just to try out and liked the Mango Chili the most. The platter includes a choice of one side so we ordered the Peri Fries, which comes with a side of ranch. These were on point - fried fresh and crispy. The show stealer was the Honey Garlic Chicken Sandwich. Chicken filet is fried and then topped with the sauce. Combined with the bread, the sandwich made the other chicken look sad. If you decide to check this place out, go for the sandwiches! These seemed to be made fresh versus the grilled chicken that sits out for an unknown period of time.

I been looking forward to try this place. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was undecided on what to get and the staff helped me decide and recommend few dishes to me. The chicken was very flavorful. I will come back to try other items and update my review.

I ordered the honey garlic chicken sandwich and a side of fries. The sandwich consisted of two thin strips of fried chicken. The flavor was nice but overall the meal could've been more filling. They either need to use a whole chicken breast or use atleast three strips. It's fine for a snack. Very good flavor though. It came with a small cup of white sauce that went well with the chicken.

I stopped by at 11am on a weekday, and the chicken was piping hot and juicy, much fresher than other fast-food chicken places. The tasty coating had a nice slight crisp to it, though it wasnt as crunchy as the fast-food brand that starts with a P. As I ate in my car, several roadwork crews walked by with their KKC© bags, so it's pretty well known along this part of US-40. There's parking out front for about 30 vehicles, and it's just a few steps from a large mall parking lot. This place is between a Goodyear and an AT&T, all in a little strip mall of their own. It's easy to find. When you're driving west, just turn in at the several Krispy Krunchy Chicken banners on the westbound side of Baltimore National Pike just west of I-695 and look for Poblano. It's a little tricky coming east: you have to drive past Alexander Av, (no matter what your map-app says), and do a u-turn where you would be going into the Lidl - Home Depot parking lot. I mention this because of course I made the wrong turn the first time. Then come back to those KKC banners, and go into Poblano Halal Mexican Grill.

Upon entering the restaurant it was a bit confusing. It shares the same space as Kung Fu Tea and you place your order in the same line. Process: Step 1: Pick an Entree Step 2: Pick a side Step 3: Add a drink (+$2 for Classic Series, +$3 for Milk Tea or Punch, +$4 for Milk Strike or Slush) Food: I ordered the Kwa Kwa Bao + Chicken Combo. Kwa Kwa Bao is sticky rice, shiitake mushrooms, and pork wrapped in crispy chicken skin. It was interesting. The chicken was average. Nothing special about it, but it was piping hot and super moist. I got the Sweet Potato Fries as my side at the cashier's recommendation and it did not disappoint. My husband ordered chicken tenders with ranch sauce. He said it was good, piping hot, and super moist, but he still prefers BonChon as it's more flavorful. Service: He thought the cashier who took our order seemed unenthusiastic and wasn't giving off good vibes. Their was a Latino woman who he said was friendlier when he went up to ask for a cup of water and an additional sauce ($.25 each). Misc: My husband got the impression that they don't want patrons to dine inside as they don't provide tableware. We had to ask for ketchup and plastic utensils as they was not provided with our order. Final thoughts: The food was good, but nothing noteworthy. The service could be better and they could provide tableware for dining in and/or plastic utensils with orders automatically.

Upon entering, we were met with graffiti inspired artwork on the walls, which was cool. We perused the menu and decided to order. They have different levels of spice for your chicken and decided on an order that was mild (2 sandwich meal) , medium, (2 sandwich meal) and extra hot (I was warned by my daughter to rethink this option, but, alas, I did not heed her warning; 1 tender 1 sandwich meal). They had the spiciest level, reaper, which you have to sign a waiver to purchase, I wasn't that crazy y'all... Food delivery service was available and they had an LED board with which ones each order was under. The service was great with the associates very pleasant at the counter. We also ordered a fruit punch slushy, but it was TOO sweet for me and I couldn't finish it. If you love sweet drinks, this would be the one for you! We were given a buzzer and we didn't wait long for our order to be ready. The orders were accompanied by crinkle cut fries (we got cheese on ours for an extra cost) along with a small container of coleslaw, pickle slices, and Dave's Sauce. The fries were good with that cheese sauce: fresh, crispy, not greasy and the sauce tasting like real cheese. Now....I pride myself on enjoying a good hot spiced item from time to time... but my extra hot tender was not to be played with. I bit into that crispy tender and instantly knew I indeed "bit off more than I could chew!" It was as if that hot spiced item shot through my whole body and I was heated on the inside for about a couple of minutes. I say that to say, if you are not into spicy SPICY, don't go above medium. So glad I chose a medium spice sandwich (yes, you can get different spice levels in your order) because that saved me. The chicken was fresh, with a crispy coating on a fresh bun with Dave's sauce. The pickles were fresh and crisp (my go-to to put out that heat from that extra hot chicken tender!), the coleslaw was fresh and ok. I really don't like sauces like the Dave's sauce on my food, so the next time I will get my sandwich without it. All in all, a nice place for a good chicken sandwich, especially with the cheese fries! Epilogue: I saved the rest of that extra hot tender to eat the next day hoping the spice level had dissipated...but no...it seems as if it intensified...but I still ate it...maybe I'm used to that spice level now...

It truly feels like this spot has been given a fresh start and the difference in both food and overall vibe is amazing. For dinner, we ordered 4 entrees to share (ranging between $20-30) and a side of honey butter fries. Fun fact, K Pocha imports the honey butter powder directly from Korea and those fries were SO deliciously addicting and crispy. Definitely a must try item that I'll be getting repeatedly! My favorite dishes of the night were the spicy rice cakes and half/half fried chicken. The chicken was super crispy on the outside and very juicy on the inside. The spicy rice cakes?! These were actually the best I've had, their sauce tastes different than any other Korean spot I've been to. It had such a unique depth of flavor that I absolutely loved!   The private karaoke rooms elevated my experience. They're nice and cozy and I was impressed by the sound system. The music is loud and clear and my friends had a blast! We also had such kind service and were able to get our food nearly right away and delivered directly into the karaoke room! It was awesome! It's between a Chinese take-out and a used-sporting-good store, just a little east of the middle of the St. Johns Plaza strip mall. This location has seating for 40 or so in a brightly decorated space. There's plenty of parking right out front. It's my first time here, I was a little afraid of the "hangry" spice, but learned that the range of heat is by-request, so i got two "Jr." sandwiches: one no-heat to get a taste of just the chicken, and one medium. The chicken comes piping hot, two half-inch thick strips nearly twice as long as the 4-inch junior bun, which is a lot of food for their smaller size sandwich! It's tender and moist, with just a light chew. The coating is thin and lightly seasoned, drizzled with a mildly-sweet red-sauce. Good flavors. Theres a layer of fresh not-too-wet slaw and a couple of hearty pickle circles, both of which add some sweetness. The bread is lightly flavorful, just dense enough to hold everything together. The medium is the same generous tender moist sandwich. The red-sauce also seems the same. The coating on the chicken is where the spice is! It builds up quickly to a nice mouth-filling heat, and it adds zingy flavor without overwhelming with heat. The veggie layers of the sandwich help manage the heat. The chicken is very good and fresh-tasting, definitely tastier than the chicken at nearby fast-food burger joints. The range of heat is by-request, so us low- spice and no-spice folks can come here with I-wanna-burn folks, and everyone will hit their target. I think that anyone who likes even a little spice will want medium-heat or above. The junior-serving was huge and filling! This place is a win in flavor, quality, and quantity. It took about 5min to prepare, so order ahead on their app.
