I believe Dr Edward Gottesman to be a brilliant, surgeon, with a personality befitting his talent for he is able to put me the patient at ease in a situation where I am normally uncomfortable. In this respect, he has been the perfect doctor to take the place of Dr Siegel, and I am extremely happy with his service. Firstly i really like the office and work areas there but mostly the beautiful procedure rooms . Over the past 7 years i have had many implants and more done with Edward Gottesman including bone and gum widening or lengthening to help preserve past root canals as well when more space was deemed needed . He has several hygienists to choose from if you want to use them along with your own dentist , and his personal work assistants are really very good and work superbly with him . He is fun amusing enough and good to get to know when he works along with you too . read more

Dr. Edward Gottesman is a nice guy, and I've seen him for two consultations for my dental implants, but me and my orthodontist ultimately decided not to use him because his fees were far too pricey. His quote was literally almost three times as much as the quote I received from another well-known Periodontist (who I ultimately ended up using and he did an awesome job, at a fraction of the price). He was very effective at communicating with my orthodontist, however, which is very important. His office once sent me a bill for the consultation fee that I've already paid in full. It wasn't until after I presented proof on my AmEx card that it was already paid, did they finally agree to mark it paid. Although the amount was only $150, the fact that they double billed a patient is just ridiculous. I also didn't have enough room on my bottom set of teeth for a good implant - any implant that is installed there would be skinny, weak, and very vulnerable to fractures, but he didn't tell me that, although I'm pretty sure a professional practitioner like him would have known that. Two other periodontists who I saw for a second opinion examined me and looked at my X-rays and concluded that it would be better to get a crown bridge instead of an implant because it would be a lot more stable and stronger (which I ultimately did end up getting). Although I've heard many good things about Dr. Gottesman, I wouldn't highly recommend him unless you have the money for the treatment if your insurance does not cover it. There are other good periodontists out there that can also do a good job for a much lower fee. Even my orthodontists later admitted to me much later that Dr. Gottesman is indeed very expensive - I wish he had told me earlier so that I would haven't wasted my time going there. read more

Dr Gottesman has been my doctor I believe for at least 15 years. I can not tell you how many devastating problems I have had with genetically bad teeth and gums. Having front teeth pulled and implants put in is like the most scary insane painful experience unless you have Dr Gotttesman. I have a lot of implants. which worked out so well and I can go on and not have nightmares about what is going to happen next or loosing my teeth .. There is no one., I say NO ONE like him and he makes this all feel very easy to go through. The staff is so experienced kind organized and informed.. They have held my hand and encouraged me. I have been come to this office for at least 10 years now and have always received fabulous service. From quarterly to emergency visits the staff has always worked with my busy schedule. Dr. E. Gottesman is wonderful - he is always very respectful, and makes you feel relaxed. He takes the time to sit down and explain the procedure he will be performing before he starts. Also, while in the chair he will let you know what he is about to do next, so there is no guessing. One thing I like about him is that he will try and save your tooth before even thinking about extracting it. So, if you are looking for a Periodontist I would considering making an appointment with Dr. Gottesman first. One thing to note you will have to pay for services up-front and submit the bill to your insurance company yourself, or the office staff can handle that for you. Also, services are not cheap$$$ they are very expensive but at least I know I am getting quality care. read more

I was referred to Dr. Gottesman because I have severe gum recession. He recommended a gum graft, which is really expensive, but I decided to get it done because the recession can be very damaging. Dr. Gottesman did the upper half of my mouth (so far), and the results are incredible. Before the graft, my teeth were incredibly sensitive; I couldn't drink anything cold or hot. And they were ugly! Now, my teeth are not ugly and there is very little sensitivity. The procedure is not pleasant, but Dr. Gottesman is incredibly skilled. And his office staff is very professional and friendly. I have nothing but good things to say about the experience with both him and the office. They are quick, efficient, and Dr. Gottesman is professional and personable. I had three implants put in the same day, I wanted it done all at once and put it behind me. I was apprehensive about being able to go thru this procedure for all three implants at once. After consulting with Dr. Gottesman, I was fine with it and decided to proceed. With any surgery, there are so many things to consider and my fear is how do I really know if this Doctor is capable of the procedure. Yes people say he is an amazing perio doctor but I like to form my own opinion. I can say every step of the way: from my initial consultation, to the scan of my jaw for mapping the size and placement of the implants, to the actual surgery, Dr. Gottesman went over every detail with me. The day of the implant surgery, I appreciate the way he took charge of the procedure and all his assistants were all synchronized and know their role. Since then, I've had 3 extractions and implants completed. Based on my experience so far and comparisons based on prior dental work, Dr. Gottesman and his team are a top shelf operation. From the moment you walk into that door you are catered to at the utmost level. It's scary and upsetting to have to loose teeth and have them replaced especially when you have spent a ton of $$$ in the past, but to know that you are in great and caring hands provides you with that comfort needed. I now go there for my routine cleanings and whenever I have another tooth fail! Karleen is a highly skilled hygienist. She is gentle, personable, thorough and works attentively and quickly. Everyone that works there is professional and helpful. They are so pleasant and make you feel comfortable. They do what they can to accommodate an emergency visit when needed. The staff (Dr. G's assistants) including the receptionists are well trained and can answer questions asked on a medical level.
