I've had palate expanders, braces with rubber bands, head gear, 3 root canals and a # of cavities, and all of this in spite of being conscientious and someone whom in addition to brushing, flosses every day, and never misses a bi-annual appointment. I was recommended to Dr. Reingold, by my mother whom indicated he had been the best dentist she had ever had and that he and his staff had the best demeanor, which I got to witness first-hand shortly after my first visit. One time, when I lost a broach from my late grandmother on the E train following a dental appointment at Everlasting Smile, Dr. Reingold quickly called me from his cell phone from down within the 5th Avenue subway perusing for my broach. Not only do I not know of another dentist who would take such care, I don't know many humans who would. Fast forward about a decade after being a patient of Dr. Reingold's and I'm the proud owner of a smile that I had gotten so ashamed of, given years of coffee stains. After approx 18 months of correcting my smile functionally and then cosmetically and just in time; right before this new reality of a Covid-NYC I was in the final stages of what can only be deemed terrific work by the team at Everlasting Smile. I started going to Dr. Reingold about 5 years ago and have recommended countless people! I just finished doing invisilign with him as well as some cosmetic dentistry afterwards and I couldn't be happier with the results. I did the invisilign not for cosmetic reasons, but upon his recommendation to alleviate horrible headaches as a result of grinding my teeth at night (night guard wasn't doing the trick!). I can't express what a joy it is to not wake up in pain every single day any more!!It never would have dawned on my that I needed invisilign, but I trusted Dr. R., and he did not let me down. The entire staff is amazing especially the office manager/dental assistant Leeza. She goes so far out of her way to accommodate your schedule and handles everything with the insurance company- which is huge. After completing the invisilign I decided to get ceramic veneers on a few upper teeth that I have wanted to do forever, and was finally able to do with their help in financing. It required many appointments, but Leeza always made it work with my schedule. Also, they gave me free whitening, Dr. Reingold replaced a cracked crown free of charge, and when he was doing the veneers he evened out several teeth that I did not pay for. WHO DOES THAT???? Since I started seeing him I've switched jobs and now it takes me a solid hour to get to his office- what keeps me coming back aside from the great work he does, is absolutely his bedside manner. I've never gone to any doctor, let alone dentist, who I actually felt saw me as a complete person. When he asks "How are you?" and you say "Fine" but aren't really fine, he notices, and takes time to actually talk to you and find out what's up. I had to see him every two weeks for a while and he absolutely noticed the changes in my moods (??) and would talk to me for extended periods of time when I was having a hard time. He is so kind, so genuine, and so comforting. And the same goes for Leeza, who is just so, so , so kind, and genuine --I've never experienced anything like this any any medical office let alone a dental office. I always walk out of there feeling better than when I've gone in, which is not something I ever thought I'd say about a dentist. My teeth look great now, and no more tension headaches!! Sadly, me and my coworkers were fans of Dr R in the past. However, I must warn you to be careful, he WILL SCAM YOU OUT OF YOUR MONEY!!! I came to Dr. Reingold to fix 2 broken teeth. He said he needed to do a full mouth exam that would cost $1K, and not covered by insurance. I was assured that half of the $1K would go toward the dental work, so I agreed. He also recommended I see a sleep doctor. I informed him at the time I may or may not be able to see the sleep doctor (esp bc at the time I was unemployed and had no insurance). He said he would come up with a plan for if I did and if I did not see the sleep doctor, so I agreed. When I came for my follow-up visit to discuss the results of the $1K exam and how we would proceed, he said he would refuse to do any dental work for me unless I saw the sleep doctor he recommended. Also, I was only allowed to see his friend, not any sleep doctor of my choosing (suspicious). I informed him that we discussed prior that that may not be an option, and he said it would not be an issue. End point, he took my $1K and refused to do any further dental work on me unless I see his sleep doctor friend (which I do not have time for, nor do I appreciate being held hostage to). That $1K took me months to save (as I was unemployed at the time I paid it), and I have nothing to show for it, except 2 still broken teeth. So although he is a good dentist, be careful - he will take your money and not do the work. He is definitely not to be trusted. read more

Dr. Reingold and his team are the best! I've been going to Everlasting Smile since 2012 or 2013, and each time everyone is so pleasant and accommodating. Even when I didn't have dental insurance to cover my cleanings, I still went to Everlasting Smile - they are worth the money! Recently, I had some issues with misalignment and did Invisalign at the recommendation of Dr. Reingold - though I was nervous about the process, it was quick and painless, finishing up about a month earlier than expected. Dr. Reingold is THE best! Along with his awesome staff; especially office coordinator Leeza! I've been with him about three years now. My boss recommended Dr. Reingold when I was looking for a dentist after mine retired. I knew I needed a ton of work done; I had missing crowns, old fillings that were starting to come loose and an off center bite that gave me terrible headaches; along with crowding and many crooked teeth that I was always self conscious of. First we did Invisalign (these are great) we really did it to fix my bite but with the added benefit of straightening my teeth. Being in my forties I didn't want to wear traditional braces so these were perfect; clear, I could take them out, and they would fix two problems at once. I wore them for about eighteen months; I thought that sounded like a long time but it went by very quickly. In a few weeks I noticed a vast improvement, my headaches lessened and my teeth were starting to straighten out. Once you notice the change they're making you'll want to keep wearing them. When you get them you have to visit Dr. Reingold every few weeks (all the subsequent visits are included in the initial cost) I always look forward to going! Who looks forward to going to see the dentist?! After I finished the Invisalign treatment we stared to do the restorative dental work. I Experienced no pain and had no complications; also Leeza worked out all the costs with me before hand so there were no surprises or extra charges. I have visited Dr. Reingold three times now and think he is such a great doctor. He and his staff always make me feel so comfortable. The office is very clean and new, which always helps me feel better. They play music videos while you get work done, a huge plus. They even have this pillow contraption that they put between your upper and lower teeth so you don't have to force your mouth to stay open the whole time. This might seem trivial to some, but I've never had that at any other dentist and it's so helpful! Dr. Reingold explains everything as clearly as possible and really takes time with his patients. He does not rush at all. Also, he does not want anyone to go broke for services they need, so he tries to work with you as much as possible. He also has pretty good availability. I actually went in today, Valentine's Day, and got a red rose from the office! What a pleasant surprise. The location has since changed to 59 E. 54th St- very convenient location. read more

As a veteran of much dental work performed in various settings, I went into my appointment for a root canal with expectations of much discomfort, pain and overwhelming stress. I was so wonderfully surprised by how comfortable the experience turned out! Dr. Reingold walked me through each step and my anxieties and fears slowly settled. The staff was super accommodating and frequently checked in with me, made me feel comfortable and at ease. I was fully prepared for a painful recovery as the anesthesia wore off and was prepared to cancel later appointments. I've been going to Dr. Reingold since 1997, when I lived in NYC. I moved to Connecticut in 2003 and continue to go in twice a year to see him - he's worth the trip. He has a great way with patients and he makes sure that he and his staff are very gentle with all their procedures. If you have a question, he is able to explain what he's doing and why in language that anyone can understand (no doctor speak here!) Since I'm coming in to see him from Connecticut, his support staff are super helpful in working with me to find a time that works with my tight schedule and call me if a better appointment opens up.
