I came here today to get a second opinion on the state of my gums post-orthodontic treatment (after reading the litany of positive reviews online about the practice). Everyone in the office was welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable, and Dr. Gifford listened to and efficiently assuaged my (multi-layered) concerns. While I had no substantive treatment today during my visit (just an exam from Dr. Gifford and photos of my teeth and gums), I would 100% come back should I require the services of a periodontist in the future. read more

The staff at Periodontics Limited is excellent; including the administrative, nurses and the doctors. My experience was excellent from making an appointment, to the visit and to the explanation of possible follow up that might have been needed. Dr. Gifford was in contact with my general dentist who had recommended this office as being skilled, organized and able to work with him on anything that might be required. This review is long overdue, but 3 years ago I was faced with the devastating reality that I'd have to lose my front tooth. It was determined that I would need an implant.. which was incredibly scary. Dr Gifford was patient, kind and skillful.. the surgery itself went seamlessly. I have been working with Dr. Mantor and the Periodontics Limited group from Henderson for the past year and a half. I can recommend this group of doctors and staff without hesitation. I had to have some fairly complicated dental surgery to save a tooth and Dr. Mantor was fabulous in making sure that I understood the surgery, what could and maybe not be able to be done, and made me completely comfortable during the surgery. Since the surgery, Donna and now Grace have been taking care of my hygienist needs. You could not ask for a gentler and more understanding hygienist than Grace. I see her every four to six months and she has my entire mouth back to where it needs to be. The office staff helps through the payment and scheduling process with consideration to my travel schedule and life in general. This is the place - these people rock!! read more

Ryan Gifford is skilled and meticulous. I am really grateful for the work he did for me as I had been previously traumatized physically and mentally by a dentist many years ago who damaged my gums. I visited the location on Charleston and Valley View for a much needed extraction. I did not know it would turn into a horrible experience. If a Patient has had cancer of the head and neck, and bone loss which was fully disclosed why would I be sold on a bone graft and implant? Dr. Mantor or any Periodontist should know that I am not a candidate. Not to mention that after I had the extraction and went back for a follow up to remove stiches and mesh the complete mesh was never removed after an infection developed. I was told by Dr. Mantor to just brush the area which caused pools of blood and a never healing area. Then again sold on an implant. Another experience where the Patient is just a number as in dollar signs $$$ no concern for health and doing the right treatment. read more

Dr Gifford saved my front tooth. I was sent to him for an evaluation to save the tooth or prepare me for an implant. With a deep cleaning it was discovered some filling material had become lodged between the root of the tooth and the gum. Thank you Dr Gifford for saving my front tooth. I had the best experience with Dr. Mantor and his team. I went in for a consultation about a month or so before I actually had my procedure. During my consultation, I told Dr.Mantor that I'd be going to another consultation else where and he informed me on the things to listen for before making my choice on where to go. I ended up not shopping around for another Dr. This staff was so welcoming and patient with me that I felt it would be the perfect place for me, plus I was referred to them from my primary dentist. I had crown lengthening and it's been about a year now since I had it done. My results are amazing and everything I thought it would be/look like. Took my 10 year old in at the request of his orthodontist. Dr Gifford and his staff were pleasant from the person who checked us in and out to the Dr himself. He was able to answer my questions as well as the questions of my son. They have great hours so kids don't have to miss much school. He was able to prescribe watchful waiting for a period of time however did not hesitate to pull the trigger when a graft was needed. I had previously seen another dentist for a consult on this matter and became worried with what they had wanted to do, so I looked for another office. Getting an implant can be tough, especially since it was my front tooth. I was extremely pleased when I visited Dr. Gifford's office. He is extremely knowledgeable and makes you feel comfortable. My procedure was painless and is healing great. I was very impressed by the work and you can't even tell where the tooth was placed. He was able to align my gum exactly as it was before the implant. I can't say enough about Dr. Gifford and his team! I went to him by referral from my dentist who suspected I needed a gum graft. Dr. Gifford did my exam and told me he didn't think the graft was necessary. He could have very easily told me I needed it and done the procedure anyway, as I was ready to do what I needed to do. But he was so honest and thorough and cared more about me as a patient than his bottom line. I know where all be going in the future should I need work done! I am in the process of having a bone augmentation in my upper jaw, pending an implant. So far everything seems fine. Dr Trylovich is top notch and so is the staff. I approached the whole procedure with great trepidation, but my concerns were quickly brushed away. I would recommend this practice to anyone needing periodontal treatment. If I could rate this business less than one star, I would. I am nearing sixty, and have been to many first rate dentists and periodontists over the years throughout the U.S. Dr. Gifford's staff is absolutely the worst at their craft I have ever experienced. I won't say the same about Dr. Gifford, who seems competent... that is, if you're lucky enough to see him. This is one of those places where the staff and dental hygienists do the majority of the work and interaction with their clients. In other words, it's a "get 'em in and out as fast as possible"... Just a complete racket. From the front desk staff (who yesterday sat there and gossiped and complained before they even looked at the sign in sheet which I had signed 10 minutes earlier), to the world's WORST dential hygienist, Sara (sp??), it was the most unpleasant dental office visit I have ever had. I was there to have a tooth extraction site, previously performed, examined by Dr. Gifford (or so I thought) and for a teeth cleaning. I was informed that Dr. Gifford was in the office, but would not be stepping in to examine my extraction area healing progress. (Why should I have expected him to? It would have taken him all of 30 seconds. But clearly 30 seconds that he deemed not worthy of his time.) Sara began by quizzing me about my daily dental hygiene regiment... And then she contradicted absolutely every single thing my dentist had instructed me to do, from the kind of speciality tooth paste my dentist had recommended, to bashing Sonic Care tooth brushes vs. Water Pic tooth brushes. She tilted the dental chair backward to a degree where my head was severely lower than my feet. When I informed her that my blood pressure medication reacts badly with me being in this position, her dismissive "You'll be fine" was followed by the most painful tooth cleaning I have ever experienced. Using water constantly (which is not uncommon) shooting into my mouth while cleaning, she simply could not properly handle the water suction device with any degree of proficiency... she let me gag, cough, twitch, and even after I stated several times "I can't get my breath because I feel like I am drowning in the water" she did nothing to alleviate my concerns or issues. Ever heard of Dental Waterboarding? I hadn't until yesterday. I was having the sensation of drowning for the entire 50 minutes I was there. Tears were streaming down my face (and I am not the type to usually complain or wimp out in such situations). After the cleaning, Sara decided to use a new technique to polish my teeth, water & a powder combination, I believe because we had discussed that my dentist had done the exact opposite (they use a paste polish). Next was 10 minutes of polishing including the worst pain I have ever been in. (And I've been through a few colonoscopy procedures!) Half way through the polishing (and after several attempts to indicate my pain level to Nurse Rachett), I sat up in the chair, grabbed my glasses that were sitting on the counter, and stated "We're THROUGH here." And then I left... And I am most certainly through with this firm. Clearly the assembly line method of letting unskilled Dental Hygenists to most of the work allows Dr. Gifford and his associates achieve what they are really looking after... their own bottom line. Since yesterday I have identified a new periodontist who I believe will hold his patients needs over bottom line profits. My advice: avoid this place! read more
