We ordered bleaching trays for him, because his teeth are kind of yellowish. It took about a week for the trays to come in. My son is using them and his teeth are slowly turning a little bit whiter. His teeth are really sensitive, so he has a hard time using the trays on a regular basis. We were contemplating taking out his wisdom teeth. After talking with Dr. Hendrickson and since my son hasn't had any pain in his jaw, we decided not to take out his wisdom teeth at this time. Dr. Hendrickson came in and explained the pros and cons of removing his wisdom teeth. At first we were going to proceed with the procedure, and they required a full payment before the operation. So we paid in full The next day I spoke to two people who still had their wisdom teeth. They never had to have them removed. It's kind of like something we just do in our society. Then my family discussed it some more and decided we should wait, because the wisdom teeth weren't bothering my son, and three of them are already through. They were quick to refund the money we had paid, minus a $96 fee for the anesthetic consultation. My daughter had her wisdom teeth, removed here a few years ago, and they use her plasma to help prevent dry sockets. and heal the wound quicker. My friend, highly recommend recommended this dentist, and that's how we found this practice.

The main issue was that my secondary insurance had been billed as the primary insurance. Delta confirmed they had no record of my primary insurance on file, only a note stating that I had another insurance plan. I worked with a Delta representative, and they explained that everything would need to be resubmitted either by the dental office or through a claim filed by me. When I brought this to the office staff's attention, I was not looking for an argument. I was simply trying to point out the issue so they could review it and correct the billing. Unfortunately, the staff became defensive and rude. That experience is what ultimately caused me to lose trust in the office after being a patient there for five years. To be clear, this review is not about the doctor's performance. My concern is strictly with the billing process and the way the office staff handled the situation. A billing mistake can happen, but how it is addressed matters. Patients should feel heard and respected when they bring forward legitimate concerns.

You know that new patient questionnaire you need to fill out? Wouldn't it be nice if the provider actually went over it with you and listened to your needs/concerns? If you've been victim to not being heard before, then Dr. Tran and her staff at All Smiles By Design is a place that I highly recommend. From reception to dental hygienists to consultation, I feel that the team takes pride in what they do and has empathy for their patients. Amazing hospitality, staffing that genuinely cares and they do the job right with no rushing. If you get anxious or are uncomfortable about anything, just talk to them. There's no pressure and do everything they can to make you feel comfortable because let's be honest, no one likes the sound of the drill or seeing the big needle used for numbing...lol. The reception area is nice and is not your usual, boring open seating area. Instead there's living room furniture to make it feel more cozy, an accent wall for the gram and there's coffee, bottled water and snacks (I recommend waiting until after your cleaning or procedure for obvious reasons). Dr. Tran is an artist in her field and is the real deal. She was able to help find a resolution to a long term problem that I faced and affected my self confidence for many years. I no longer have to choose my "good side" and look forward being in photos with family and friends. Also, Dr. Tran gives back to the community by going on missions and volunteers her time (check out their about me page). This further shows how passionate she is about the work that she does and helps to make a difference in the world.
