This little bar was wonderful! I just wanted to see live music on a Friday. There were two bands on the roster Wrecked Strangers and Pardon the Interruption. Both bands were wonderful! Super fun. The bartenders were professional and nice. They were really busy and still got it done. The atmosphere was really cool with an electric crowd that was courteous and friendly. I met some cool people and really had a blast.

This band does The Police better than The Police! So good, it was criminal.

Had the pleasure of having no idea what this place was about other than I saw a flyer on the wall at the coffee shop next door the day before...announcing a "Police" tribute band "Synchronicity" is set to perform the next night. I'm a hard core Police fan, needless to say...this I had to see. My review? I was absolutely blown away!!! Not only by the band...but by the bar, by the staff...the whole experience was so epic, one I'll forever remember. The venue, like a miniature concert hall... with all the trappings, right down to the vintage Marquee out front, as if taken right off the Sunset Strip...is a true diamond in the ruff... and apparently they aren't lacking for talent! The vibe was chill... not as in cold, but as in cool, warm and inviting...and the sound, equally delicious. Job well done to the band, you nailed it! .... and a shout out to the cute little lady playing accordion behind the bar along to Walking On The Moon" note for note....you crushed it! All the while...you still managed to keep everyone happy...serving the packed house their drinks at the bar! Now that's talent!!!!

I love this bar and have seen many amazing bands here over the years. The people are always friendly and actually dance. There's tons of outdoor seating, games to play, and I always make new friends, or see old friends (and it's hands down the coolest Elvis-themed ladies room in Marin).

A very slow-paced bar where you can hear local musicians express musical expression and their songwriting craft. At times, this bar becomes packed while other times their are only a handful of regular Fairfax peeps frequenting this bar. Summertime Bar-B-Ques in the back yard, Weddings, jam nights, whatever may be held here. Nice heated outdoor, covered patio area for smoke stacks. Nice pool tables. Ask for Mr. Very Cool ~ Tim Bush! Cover charge is Friday & Saturday, the rest of the days are free cover. Volentary tip jar for musicians playing at Peri's. Odd, but funny thing is you never know "who" might show up to jam or hang out at this bar! O=;-D Heads Up! Watch out for Officer Friendly skulking the ENTIRE Fairfax area for peeps who go over the speed limit by THREE to FIVE miles an hour! Speed limit in Fairfax=25 MPH! Please use that cruise control and mark your speed at EXACTLY 25 MPH or get a ticket!

Just stopped in here because we were lost, and my friend remembered that a co-worker got the crap beat outta him at some bar in this area... so, yeah, we had to stop in and check it out. Pretty mild-mannered bar with about 2 or 3 other patrons at 2 in the afternoon. So, we're pretty sure this isn't the spot he got stomped out. Bartender was really cool. But, the highlight for me was the shrine to Elvis in the women's restroom. My god, someone had fun putting that décor together. Now, I'm just wondering what the men's restroom looked like? Was hoping my friend would have checked it out since he's always pissing like a puppy after a few beers, but he didn't go while we were here. I'm going to imagine there had to be some kind of shrine to Marilyn Monroe in there... or maybe just some pissing targets of Hanoi Jane. Who knows. Well, if you know, please do tell and squash my wild imagination.

The restaurant is quite big. They have a parklet out front which is popping, colder, but great to gather at. Inside is more intimate and well spaced, perfect for dates or hanging out with friends. They also have a patio outside, which is where we sat. It's super casual, relaxing, and quaint. We appreciate how dog-friendly they are and how kind the service is! Everyone who helped us was courteous and friendly, plus our food and drinks came out super fast. I got the Fish Tacos, and honestly they exceeded my expectations. I love how the tortilla was nice and crispy. The fish was well fried, and the taco had ample flavor. The portion was pretty solid for the price, and I left full. My friends enjoyed their appetizers and mains. We also got some drinks which were so delicious! I would love to come back here. Stillwater is a wonderful watering hole in Fairfax. Find them off the main stretch, Broadway Blvd. Parking is free but limited during busy times. It's worth a visit if you live in the area, like food and good drinks, and bonus if you have pups!

My only complaint is that the music is always way too loud. We went for a family dinner at 5 pm on a Sunday evening and sat on the back patio and had to yell to talk to each other. The music choices aren't always my favorite eating music either-- this was like a college basement grunge concert. In the right setting, that music is fine, but it wouldn't be my first choice for dinner, and it was embarrassingly loud. I've been there numerous times in the past year, and often ask the server if they can turn the music down. So this is not a one time thing. Last night my kid actually got a headache from the loud music blasting right above his head. They were nice about turning it down when I asked-- however I have also experienced them say no to the request-- depending on the server (and once we just left, due to that). Otherwise this place is delicious.

Beautiful setting and sweet, accommodating staff but limited menu, mediocre food and high prices…read more Not much for vegetarians. And they charge an additional $2.50 for any drink served up in a martini glass! I'm not talking a large capacious martini glass but a tiny old-school one. My friend and I ordered the same drink (same booze) and hers was $2.50 more for the same quantity of liquid. This is strange. Not only have I bartended for years, but have been dining out for decades and have never seen a charge like this. Decor is out-dated too. Weird joint, not going back.

When they reopened as the bootleggers lodge, we were excited to give it a chance, though the menu was not encouraging. Everything on there looks like it could be on the menu at TGI Fridays. Calamari, chicken wings, sliders, French fries. Total garbage, in other words. It's edible, but about what you'd expect at the airport hotel in Tulsa. The service was also indifferent (sat for 20 minutes without drinks) and the prices haven't come down. The proprietors were kind with their words and generous with excuses for the restaurants shortcomings, but that doesn't change the bottom line: we won't be back. One star for still having a lovely, romantic setting, and one more for having a liquor license. That's about all they currently have to offer. Avoid.
