Wonderful pizza and sushi! The mushroom slice was packed with tasty mushrooms and the crust was amazing! So crispy around the edges and chewy inside. The staff were really nice and took pride in their food. The Chicago style stuffed pizza was authentic. I can say that because I lived there for 5 years. I took a gamble when I came here because there are mixed reviews, but I wasn't disappointed. I got a penne a la vodka, a white pizza, Cajun fries, and falafel. The owner was very nice and friendly. Openly racist establishment . A Jewish customer and staff member began laughing and speaking in a language other than English and ignored us when we tried to order, when there was no line. I asked to get boxes moved so I can use a baby seat and he rolled his eyes and kept talking. We were the only black people in the space and felt so unsafe here. This was such a disheartening experience as a mother with children who really wanted to enjoy some pizza and pasta together. My oldest daughters, who is 12 said "Can we please leave mom? Ordered 4 pies for my families Chanukah Party. 3 of the 4 pies were inedible, completely burnt to a crisp. The one pie that was not burnt, half of it was a bubble. I'm serious, worst pizza I've ever had it was so burnt. This was food that should have never left their restaurant. I'm never Really disappointed by anything. the small fries r a good size for two people. The large is good for two hungry people :) Their slice w green olives is rly delicious too. Surprisingly, their lentil soup is great too- I tried it thinking I would be disappointed but I'm officially a Fan! & ask for it every time I go there (they don't have it all the time) I don't like their tomato soup or mushroom barley... Criticism Alert: Ok so a couple times the dough was thicker or thinner on the pizza- which is actually usually a deal breaker at Other kosher pizza spots! & their soup usually always has too many vegetables in it. It's more rustic, & home style like, than cleaned up & pretty. I reserve my 5-star reviews for subjective purposes, and I'm giving one because these are my favorite falafel in the city. They are always made fresh, and they have just the right ratio of crispy outside to soft, warm inside. Never tastes too greasy. The falafel comes either in a pita sandwich (with whole wheat option! and sauerkraut inside, fyi) or just as a side of 5 balls (includes tahini on side). For just $2.50 I end up ordering that side pretty much anytime I'm walking by. See you next time! read more

I go here about once a week for lunch. The pizza is good, you don't really notice the place is kosher except for the missing pepperoni or chicken toppings. But since I don't eat any of meat, I don't really miss it. They also have falafel, which I love, and it's done well. The prices are normal kosher food prices, a little more then normal prices but it's kosher. The thing that annoys me is the service is SO slow. Not so much waiting for your food, but paying for it. You have the owners and the workers... the workers work pretty quick, but the owners seem a annoyed and are a little rude. The owners seem to be the only ones who run the register as well. The last time I was there, I already had my food and was just waiting to pay when they ran up the two people behind me before I actually said something. This wasn't the first time this has happened either. I also think they should post a sign somewhere they you only get 3 different options in your falafel sandwich. The first couple of times I went I wasn't told this, and only on my last visit after I had three options in, was I informed. It's totally fine, but a sign would have been nice. read more

The pizza here is no doubt delicious, but the service is crap! I don't understand why its a pain in the ass to order pizza over the phone. Like, hello? You do speak English, and I speak English too. Why is it so hard for you to understand that all I want is "Regular pie, well done and crispy!!!!!!" One time I try to place an order over the phone, and right in the middle of my order he hanged up on me! Like are you serious? I called again, he answered, didn't even have the courtesy to apologize to me, and he took my order. We recently went to their Coney Island Ave store. Ick! The store was a zoo! The staff were curt and not helpful. They actually ignored questions. The music & noise were so loud you could not hear announcements. I was belly up to the counter while waiting and it didn't look very clean behind the counter. My husband's coffee tasted like mud. Perizia is an all around rock solid kosher pizza shop. The pizza is fantastic and always has a perfect dough:sauce:cheese ratio. To me, that's the most important thing in pizza. Moving right along to Perizia's falafel, which frankly is as good as falafel can possibly be. Perizia must be harboring some authentic middle-eastern falafel chefs in the back of their store because a bite of Perizia's falafel tastes like a bite of Israel. They also have a grand selection of fresh salads for your sandwich, and mouth-watering tehina sauce to top it off. Usually, you would order falafel or pizza. But when you go to Perizia, you have to order both. That's how good it is. Their wraps are ridiculously good, especially the tuna wrap. I don't think I've ever had such a good tuna wrap in my life. Buy the tuna wrap. As far as service goes, its quite exceptional. The proprietors are attentive and kind and do their best to ensure that their patrons are happy and satisfied. Let me be honest, before trying this place Kosher Italian was synonymous with "tomato sauce and cardboard". Something I only ate under duress. So, when my friends from work ordered from there I would pass. Then, one day I forgot my lunch and was too lazy to walk, so I ordered. What a pleasant surprise! Went there twice recently after reading the good reviews. It did not disappoint! The pizza is really good and the prices are incredibly reasonable. I had a Sicilian vegetable slice big enough for even my enormous appetite. I did get a thin slice with green olives which was better and I will stick with that going forward. The crust isn't floppy which is great and holds the toppings really nicely. I also liked the large selection of toppings, my brother had fried eggplant and I will get that next time.
