Sunday at 10am. Before the church crowd, but being right on the interstate I don't think that would be a factor. Got seated right away. The waitress was kind. I went to order the eggs benedict /California, which would include avocado, and sure enough, they were out of avocado. Really? This early in the day? How disappointing. I got the ham and egg omelet instead. This was disappointing. I could only taste the over whelming amount of velvetta cheese. I couldn't finish it. Other than the service, it was just disappointed.

Perkins is a chain restaurant. I havent been to ine in a while, but was travelling and thought I would stop in for dinner. They offer Burgers, fish steak and full breakfast menu. Also known for their bakery and pies. I tried the burger special which comes with fries and desert, piece of pie. The burgers dont resemble the big juicy ones in the menu pictures. They are thinner and only cooked well done. While the burger was still acceptable, it was really just average but good.. On to the pie. I ordered the Coconut Cream pie. Looked delicious in the display and in the picture. What i was servered was a GLOB of pie goo. The waitress said it did not come out right. Huh???. Anyway, I sent it back and asked the manager for a different pie slice - not coconut. I asked for the Heath cheesecake pie. While this time it looked like a slice of pie, it still was just blah. Not firmed up, a little mushy. Not a great visit. Service was slow, i guess they are under staffed.

I wish I had thought to take a picture of the food, but I did't know how much we would enjoy it! Food was outstanding! We had the 55+ brioche French toast, potato cakes and the triple egg dare you. Although a bit of a different take on potato cakes than I am used to the taste was out of this world. My husband said his hash browns were some of the best he has ever had. Our server was new, but very attentive and sweet. Will definitely come back next time we are here.

Flies everywhere in the restaurant which is definitely a health hazard. The place is super unclean overall. The food was horrible, not typical Perkins quality and seriously just awful, couldn't even finish the meal. Service was super slow even though the restaurant was near empty.

Good food! Nice portions. We did take out and they were pretty quick. They also made sure we were good on the condiments.

All was made to order and the service was good. Definitely a local place. LOTS of great options in the menu and was difficult to decide. I had the chance to taste each of the four sandwiches and all were good - but only one of them was amazing. The other three were still very good and unique... but not as over the top as the The Dill (I think it was). I would easily recommend this place and plan to go back the next time I'm in town. In addition, this isn't a sit down place - you will need to leave with your drop What I could tell. There were some tables in the alley... but the lake is a close walk for a good view while eating. Finding this place was a pleasant surprise. Support local!

Cabin Coffee is a cozy little western-themed cafe, with a wide variety of breakfast foods, pastries, and baked goods. They have a decent coffee menu as well, with alternative milks such as oat, coconut and almond for an extra 85 cents. The staff was extremely nice, and patient with not only my toddler, but my mother who orders slower than the speed of molasses. I appreciated that our order took some time to pull together, as that typically means your food is being made fresh, not reheated from frozen like a well-known overpriced coffee shop that we are all familiar with. I ordered a classic vanilla late with oat milk, and The Sundance bfast burrito. My mom ordered a large mocha something, The Longhorn burrito, two chocolate scones and my daughter ordered a chocolate chip cookie. The 7 items were only $36! Shocked. The latte was a little sweet, and took me awhile to finish, so if you don't like sweet, definitely tell them to hold off on a pump or two of syrup. The burritos were a good size, and mine kept me full for the entire trip. My daughter loved her crunchy chocolate chip cookie as well. Great vibes all around, and pretty decent coffee.
