Wendy served our party of 10 to perfection. She is a wonderful person with a beautiful personality and a sincere passion for her craft. Ask for Wendy if you're ever going to Perkins in Cortland. The food was delicious and served with a smile. Thanks for everything Wendy!!

Considering the labor shortage I think they are doing pretty well; I'd never thought I'd see the day when I would feel obligated to thank the server for coming in today but so many of my favs have cut back on the hours they are open or even closed Still have a full menu selection; I had chicken fried steak with asparagus- it was delicious My friend had hot turkey slices which he also enjoyed Great selection of deserts Definitely coming back

The waitress was pleasant. The food was underwhelming I would not recommend this restaurant. Save yourself the headache.

This was our second time here for breakfast. Both times it started out the same way. Having to wait for someone to seat us when it was not so busy. It then gets better, the waitresses are very personable and efficient. We were greeted almost immediately and our drink order was taken. First time we were here our waitress was very patient with us as we perused the menu. Since we do not have a Perkins in Buffalo we wanted to get the perfect breakfast that we liked. Both times our food came out fast and delicious. They have the best breakfasts. It's nice that we found this place on the way to my son's house so we will stop on the way down to see him.

Stopped by at 6:30 on a Tuesday night for an expected quick dinner before a long drive. The food took more than a half hour to come to the table, making it a miserable stop. The waitress was nice, the food was good, but the wait, far too long. In addition, the place could use a cleaning. There were fingerprints all over the walls and framed pictures, and butter on the small table menus. Disappointing stop.

Build a breakfast. Love, love the tots!

Haven't been to a Perkins in many years. It was fabulous! Hot coffee in a carafe at your table. Love that you don't have to wait for a waitress for refills. I had the build a breakfast. So many options. It was hard to choose. Our waitress was excellent and checked in with us several times. My food was hot and cooked to order. For a great breakfast try this Perkins!

Fish fry with cole slaw and I had mashed potatoes but it normally comes with fries.....it was fabulous!

Brewed just right and I didn't have to worry about refills as I got the carafe!

Hollenbeck's is my go to for cider and donuts in the fall…read more The line is almost always out the door in the fall so be prepared to wait. While you wait you can select a peck or bushel of apples, or maybe send a scout out to the baked goods and fudges, or watch the old cider press in action. When you reach the donuts you can pick from powered sugar, cinnamon powdered sugar, or plain. Personally I think plain is the best because they are hot, crispy, pillowy delights. There is a limit in that you can only buy 4 dozen donuts per person. The cider itself fresh pressed right before your eyes. Two people work together to layer the mash and wood pallets on a very old and incredible press. The cider is well filter and not as sweet as other ciders but very good! One note: you cannot buy cups of the cider- you have to buy a half gallon or gallon and then open it outside. On the pie side you can actively see and smell the pies being made. If you would like a pie for a special occasion you might want to call ahead to reserve one as they sell FAST. In the cold cases on the pie side is also where the cheese curds, summer sausage, and some meets such as elk and lamb are available. The great thing is the baked goods are available all year, so Hollenbeck's is a great stop even in the spring and summer. Also of note it smells like pressed apples ALL YEAR! Parking- one entrance, one exit. There is parking in the front and back, and some street parking as well.

Love, love, love Hollenbeck's! Apples, pies, donuts, cheese curds, cider and more! It smells like…read morehome inside The chicken pot pies are to die for. Only complaint- wish they were open year round

But after…read moretrying this bakery on the penultimate day of a vacation, we had to come back to stock up on our final day. We collectively tried the olive ciabatta, three kinds of croissants, a flatbread, an epi bread, and maybe a couple of other things I am forgetting. Everything was delicious and very reasonably priced. I love the vibe of the place, I love the logo they stamp on their bags, I love that they threw in an extra pastry because we bought so much on that last day, and I love the location just across from the river. (First-time visitors should note that you enter the bakery from the back of the building that faces Water St.) Perhaps the strongest endorsement came from my partner's 14-year-old son, who gave the almond croissant a 10/10. When I asked him to rate the almond croissant that he loves from a bakery local to us, he gave it an 8.5/10. Follow-up questioning revealed that the chocolate croissants from the two bakeries merited a 9.5 and 8, respectively. Oh, and if you call earlier in the day they will hold things for you if you won't be able to make it in until later in the day.

Both were great and would happily eat either again! The chooclate croissant had a soft chocolate filling as opposed to a harder chocolate. I liked the bostock better but both were yummy. A small hole in the wall by a river. We ate our pastries on a swing across the river. Everyone in the area is super friendly. Good vibes and good pastries.
