Wow is all I can say. We found this place on another baseball tournament trip. So first impressions were the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Second impressions was they have beautiful artisan bread and desserts that were definitely made on site. So I had the beef in weck. It was delicious the horseradish sauce was so spicy that my nose was on fire! It's like when you eat too much wasabi. Only knock was the salt level on the roll was overdone by a good amount. My wife had the spicy peppered turkey with pepper jack cheese chipotle sauce and jalapeños. She had it on a wrap they had two or three flavors and everything was super fresh. My son had the peppered turkey Italiano and he ate the whole thing. He loved it. I also had a bowl of clam chowda and it was on point! Definitely would recommend this to everyone. read more

Classic, no frills sandwich spot. We got the Reuben's sister (Reubens with pastrami instead of corned beef). The rye could have been toasted, and they used coleslaw instead of sauerkraut which I hadn't had before. The sandwiches could've been a bit bigger, but are reasonably priced. My roast beef on weck confirmed my suspicion. The au jus was hot, the horseradish made my nose tingle, and the roast beef was tender. The roll was soft and soaked up the au jus like a boss. They were handling a steady flow of customers doing both take out and dining in (tables are spaced out for distancing). They have several drink coolers with options from soda, water, and juices as well. While I'm not in Cortland often, I'd definitely run back for lunch anytime I'm there. I could see parking being a bit of a pain potentially, but I was able to find some pretty quickly nearby. read more

The sandwich I had was Fantastic! Just right on the toppings like lettuce, tomatoes, onion and just enough mayo! Over 6 choices of breads and they all looked amazing. This may be the best sandwich shop in Cortland. This deli is tucked away on Central Ave., but it's a gem. My sub was packed to the gills with meat. I only wish it had more veggies, but it was still awesome. The staff seemed friendly, and they were quick. I was in and out in about 10 minutes, most of which was spent looking at the menu figuring out what to order. Price was average for Cortland. The only thing that is unfortunate about this place is the hours. It's only open til 3pm, so it's a breakfast and lunch place. I'll be going back for sure. read more

I've always found that perfect bread is the key to a great sub. The other ingredients are obviously important, but for some reason shops that get the bread right get everything right. They were out of weck, but suggested I try a garlic roast beef sub. Wow, a true marriage of beef, bread and flavor. I haven't had as good a sub for more than 40 years. Great food is measured by how long you remember it. I'm too old now for this to challenge that record, but I suspect I'll remember this until my end of days. read more
