    Build-A-Breakfast

Definitely what was expected for a chain restaurant. It wasn't anything special but a decent place to stop if you're on the road. Came here for breakfast before headed out of town. There was a 20 minute wait for a table despite many tables being open (possibly social distancing between tables). I ordered the Build-A-Breakfast choosing - chocolate chip pancakes, 2 sausage links, breakfast potatoes, and 2 eggs scrambled. It was definitely a lot of food but the downfall was the flavors. The eggs and potatoes were not seasoned during cooking so salt/pepper was the only option to spice them up. The portion size was big; I couldn't finish my meal. Our waitress Jen was very pleasant.

Eggs and buckwheat pancakes are great, hash browns are on the spicy side. I got the Olaf, which was a bit too much, good but too rich for me. I have been to Diana's before but I haven't been since a little before Covid as I live in NJ...This establishment makes you feel like home. When you get a coffee it comes In a mug that you would have in your house. In NJ you go to a diner and you get a small branded mug etc here it's more like a mug from there personal collection of random mugs. The owners/staff are SUPER friendly and welcoming. Before I even got to PA I told my buddy Justin that I have to go to Diana's. They are master of the griddle here! Food is fresh and delicious. I got the 2 egg plate with home fries (ask for the onions and peppers added in) and over medium eggs and sausage. The sausage is so so good. Hand formed patty crisp on the outside and juicy inside. I also got a homemade cinnamon bun and ordered a bunch to go. As the menu suggest ask them to butter and griddle the buns. This will change your life. Hospitality at its finest and country breakfast at its finest. This is a gem of the Honesdale/Tyler Hill area. I have a special place in my heart for this place!

When we arrived and saw that they were in a shopping mall, we were thinking about looking for somewhere else.... Boy I'm SO GLAD that we didn't! We arrived around 12:30 and they were packed - we were able to get a table outside (bar and inside dining area were too noisy for us)! Our server, Ariana O. was great! My wife enjoyed her Flamingo Fandango drink ($ 14.50) with the Torta Ahogada ($18.95) - both were delicious but the sandwich was very messy - better eaten with a knife and fork - and absolutely delicious as were their French fries that she had! I ordered the Beef "Cubano" sandwich ($ 17.95) with a side of golden beets ($ 2.00 up charge) glazed with the same horseradish sauce that was on the sandwich (Ariana's recommendation). Both were wonderful and we shared tastes of each other's items! It was worth the drive up and the impending drive back!!! We also shared a Dark Chocolate Custard pie that featured an Oreo type of crust with whipped cream and shaved dark chocolate as a topping - it tasted wonderful but I felt a little on the small size for the $ 12.95 price! All things considered, I would make the drive again to go back to experience the other items on the menu but as was suggested, I would definitely make a reservation for lunch and definitely would for dinner! FYI: their menu is seasonal so you want to view it online before you go!

I was initially on the fence about it since its in a shopping mall surrounded by chain restaurants and a wax salon, but I figured if it looked bad inside there was a Smashburger nearby. How wrong I was! The inside is absolutely stunning, what a beautiful space. It took a while to be seated since it was a holiday weekend but when we did we had a beautiful view of an indoor sunroom. We got the potato pierogi to start, which was fantastic, and my dish was the tofu scramble (with fruit as a side). The scramble had a surprising sweetness that was not unpleasant and was quite a large portion. Our server was great but he had a very strong and vibrant personality - which I did not care for when I first sat down and was tired and hangry, but he was great and won me over at the end, haha. Anyway, try this place, its amazing and next time I am in Allentown I will be back for sure.

When I say that I probably have 5 lb of pasta on my plate, I am not lying or exaggerating. The meatballs takes like a mix of veal or pork and beef - delicious. Meaty but not heavy. The pasta sauce was a little spicy but nothing mouth scorching. Again delicious. My friends got the grilled tilapia and there's probably three very large pieces of tilapia served with a lemon wedge and another side of angel hair pasta, again at least a pound of pasta in the side. They had the French onion soup, a hearty very beefy based soup with a giant slab of cheese on the top. My friends loved it. My other friends had the pork cutlet which was a hammered piece of pork lightly fried, and the size of a dinner plate served with a side of beef gravy, and also a side of angel hair pasta. Portions are ridiculous and I'm from the south I know huge portions. Lol If you come here though don't come in a hurry, as the staff is very busy. I didn't get her name but she was the only one working the floor. Efficient, direct and friendly. If you leave hungry it is your fault. Enjoy!
