We returned to Sapore after a few years. We were in the area camping so we went out to eat on a Thursday evening. Sat in the dining room. Food spatter was on the wall above the table. Ugg. Big menu offering traditional American Italian plus some just traditional American fare. My blue moon on draft was flat. House Chardinay was nice and ice cold. Cheese pizza as an app was nice and hot and cheesy. My Chicken Felisha was tasty but the sauce was watery. The pasta was not drained properly? Big portions, and decent prices. I was just there with my friend at 2 PM and we sat at the bar. There was only one customer sitting at the bar. My bartender with zero personality her name was Nadia? I ordered a cappuccino. Took 10 minutes to arrive and it was ice cold. I ordered two slices of pizza and it was the worst pizza I ever had in my life. My friend ordered a Caesar salad. It was iceberg lettuce with some shredded Parmesan. Horrible. I do not recommend this place to anyone... At any time. read more

Food is so delicious and a healthy amount you won't leave wanting more. Prices are good for the quantity and quality you get. Been there a few times when we are in the area and never been disappointed. This is our favorite place to eat when in the area. read more

for Italian food, this place is bad. I'm not a fan of runny marinara, but these guys have perfected it. You can tilt your plate and pour the excess "marinara water" into a cup. I get it that locals love this place (because it's one of TWO Italian restaurants in the borough) but the sauce runs more than a track star. It IS a nice place for families, though. I'd recommend this place for a family with preteen kids because of the family-friendly environment. Other than that - it's a pass for me. (forgot to mention that I was here ONCE....like back in 2021/2022 and I'm STILL complaining about the runny marinara.... feel free to look at the pictures posted). read more

My wife and I stopped in while passing through Lehighton. Had the Eggplant Rollatini and Stuffed Shells. Food was delicious and more than we could eat. The bread--made in-house--is worth a visit all by itself. Service was excellent and prompt. We'll definitely be back! read more

We were pleasantly greeted when we entered the main door off the parking lot. This door leads you directly into the bar area, which has seating for dining as well but we wanted to sit in their dining room. We had an outside view from our table. I ordered Linguine and Meatballs that came with a Salad. My husband got the Eggplant Rollatini with a side of Sausage. All delicious. We really enjoyed the atmosphere, the staff, and the food here. The meal was so reasonably priced, too. Will definitely return next time we're in the area! read more

Best Sicilian anywhere...best staff and food..always friendly, accomodating . Always a great experience...they treat you like family:)

They are w/c accessible, didn't see any handicap parking spots, but we were able to park close to the door. Great waitstaff', we had an appetizer and each of us a different entree. Great food at a good price! The dining room was a little loud for dinner conversation, but would definitely come back. read more

Food is delicious. We started with salads which were delicious. I highly recommend the house vinaigrette. Garlic bread is a mu as it's fantastic. Our meals didn't disappoint either. From fried flounder to Chicken Marsala our meal was delicious. Our server was very attentive, we would definitely return. read more

A friend and I went here one night as there wasn't much open in Lehighton and they were willing to still serve us (it was after 9pm) so we were glad to find it. The waitress was really nice and accommodating and made sure our orders got in right away so we could have our meal. I started with the mozzarella sticks which were quite good with a nicely flavored coating. For dinner I had the ravioli and my friend had the eggplant rollatini. Both portions were very large and filling. The flavor was good. It wasn't anything special but was good and was still happy with the meal. read more

I had a Cajun chicken sandwich and fries. It was the most amazingly bland sandwich that I recall eating. Not sure where the Cajun was but it wasn't on the chicken. The service, I will say was neutral on friendliness. I felt more like an outsider than most places I have been. Zero small talk or perception of interest on my server/bartender's part. More like I was an inconvenience than a patron. It took over 45 mins for the "special" to arrive and fries were cold and arrived in a plastic bowl with red checkered paper . Ambiance is fine. The building has a ton of potential to be quaint cute spot but falls short. Some small fixes and this place could be a staple...but I don't plan on coming back anytime soon. I eat out a lot, all over the country. We might send something back once a year, and write a poor review much rarer. Passing through we stopped here for lunch. First off the place is cute, clean, big menu, ok priced, and the waitress was friendly & personable. My wife had french onion soup and I had ribeye sandwich, both ok, not stellar. The chips with my sandwich were flat out stale. OK, I don't need the carbs so I let them go. My wifes meal (appetizer) of stuffed mushroom caps came out cold, so she asked they be reheated. On return, she discovered the stuffing was full of (I'm assuming) crab shells, so she ended eating it. The waitress took it back. We didn't ask her for any remedy, I assumed they'd remove them off the bill. They removed half, as if we were to blame for not liking cold, poorly prepared appetizers. The waitress I think was embarrassed for the place. It was small change, and if I were to pass through I'd keep going, so not a big deal but they brought their D game that day. read more

Stopped here for lunch while working in the area. Sat in the back room , room is big and feels empty. Does not have that cozy atmosphere I like. Unsweetened tea had a wired taste, don't think it was fresh brewed. Had the Italian hoagie with chips. Hoagie was very good, roll was toasted. Chips had a weird taste. Also had a French fry. Ugg, they were the dreaded coated ones. Fresh cut are the way to go, was so bummed. Had to drown them in ketchup to eat them. I'll be back again, would like to try the pizza or a meatball hoagie. read more

Great Italian restaurant with a bar. Pizza taste like the one in Trieste, Italy. The carbonara sauce for the tortellini was not salty and loaded with bacon!!! This rich sauce was perfect to dip the side bread. Nice atmosphere, good customer service, extensive menu choices. read more

In Lehighton, PA I am not expecting Little Italy or North End-type cuisine so I think I got what was expecting. The food was average (ordered pickup). The marinara had a unique taste I have not experienced before (not bad, just different) and the pasta was OK (not sure if it is made there). Overall, if you want some Italian food when in the area, the restaurant will deliver, as long as you know what you are getting. read more

My boneless teriyaki wings were so damn salty the sauce tasted like it was 90% soy sauce. Do not recommend them.

Sapore Restaurant is the best in my book. We were having a birthday party and so I decided on Sapore since I've eaten there before. The staff is very helpful and nice to deal with. The food was ready and available at the time we had set up. Our guests all raved about how delicious it was! We had plenty and shared with many of them to take home. I recommend Sapore Restaurant to anyone who needs catering or who just wants to go in for a great meal. Bravo to Sapore! read more

Food was less than satisfactory on my second visit. Bolognese sauce was really just tomato sauce with a little bit of ground beef, not even a good meat sauce yet alone bolognese. Got a cheese pizza to go and found that it had oily fake cheese that was chewy and hard to eat. My wife had stuffed haddock that was overdone in the broiler. If ever there was a restaurant done in by the kitchen, it is this one. Given, it was a Saturday night, but, a lot of empty tables. Food was slow to arrive, but better that it had NOT arrived at all. Wine served "not" in wine glasses, and borderline vinegary. Salad was TRULY pathetic, tired pieces of iceberg and such and a small tomato or two. No vinegar dressing as requested (we got the dressing they give out to everyone, regardless). The antipasto? Imagine, the above salad, times 5, with a few...very few...bits of processed meat, which arrived late as well. Finally, the entrees. Mine ("pasta sampler") was over-cooked and half-buried in melted cheese. Hers was the veal, not bad but nothing would be worth the long wait. Our extra order of mushrooms (which never arrived) attracted a $7.95 charge, which we subtracted from the bill. Our waitress, Vanessa, was making every effort however no server should have to work with this horrible kitchen, plus too many tables to handle at once. We dined at Sapore three years ago. It will be three hundred years before we go there again. read more

I don't often write reviews but want to document my experience when it's amazing or terrible. I have dined here a few time and it's always something that's amiss. I think I figured it out. After arriving late in the evening I was told that the kitchen was closing soon and I could stay and eat if I'd eat quickly or take it to go ... who does that - I come to find the owner, a demure gentleman who clearly doesn't care about his customers, We watched it all happen in earshot of us after we were seated and our waitress took our drink order. Clearly annoyed as he wanted to clean up early. After placing a to-go order because who wants to be rushed , and paying the bartender because the waitress couldn't bill to-go orders, the stunning experience didn't end. A while later the gentleman screams "hey yo, your orders ready" places on top of counter, waves me over and walks away. The waitress doesn't deliver the order , the bartender is busy, so I walk the distance from my table to retrieve it. I should have checked because my order of French fries was sad. I counted about 18 of them , pic included for your review. Maybe when they go out of business the next owner will care for his customer more that this one. read more

Went there last week with grandsons and there was a wing special sign on table but when time to pay they say special is not in effect. Prices on the menu can change but we were not informed of that. The owner is trying to take advantage of the customers and not honoring the advertised specials, The owner also passes on the added credit card fee to customers not paying by cash that he or she would have to pay. I've been here for dine in a few times, and it's not bad. The food is just okay and nothing to really rave about, to be honest. The reason I'm only giving three stars though is due to the fact of a take out order I placed recently. When I got home and looked in the bag, almost all of my food was wrong. Chips instead of fries, missing a salad, and my entree was nowhere near what I ordered. I'm a vegan, so it's not like I could just eat the mistaken food that they'd given me because it contained meat and dairy. I called and told them of the mistake they made and if I could come and pick up what I originally ordered. The woman was very nice and apologetic. I drove to the restaurant again and when I went this time to pick up my food, I noticed something that was really gross. The waitress was making a salad from the salad bar and she used her bare hands to grab the lettuce. No gloves, nothing. It's flu season people, and I don't want whatever you touched last on my salad. So, needless to say, I did not eat the salad they forgot. Otherwise, the decor on the inside is nice but they need to get take out figured out better, and teach staff proper hygiene when working with food. read more

My best friend and I come here for their pasta ALL the time. The linguini in marinara is to die for, and huge portion size as well! I will always come back here for it. The wings are great too! Every time I call in and place an order or dine in, the entire staff is always friendly and attentive. I've never had a bad time here! read more

Food was ok but service was horrible! Then they had the audacity to charge 18% gratuity when we consistantly had to talk to other servers to get our stuff. Our waitress did not do her job and did not deserve the extra tip at all.2 kids were given their meal and the other was given his 10 minutes later. They charged extra for blue cheese with their wings. Then we had to ask for the included kids deserts after we paid, but then were told they dont give kids desserts to go. I was underwhelmed with the service. We barely saw our waitress and had to quickly ask for refills because she left too abruptly. Will not be returning here. read more

Yay! I'm a fan. But only for the pizza cause literally that was all we ordered. (well and some soda's) The waitress was super slow (she was a bit more elderly but seemed to have 10x as many tables as the other two nimble young girls.) but she was nice and pleasant. Worst dining experience ever. Food was sub-pat. Waitress was slow. She sat almost everything for our end of the table in front of our 6 month old granddaughter. Including hot soup and dinner plates. The pizza tray was set down not only in front of the baby, it actually hung over her head. Then they have the nerve to add on an automatic tip because there was 8 of us. This place has potential but it seems like they aren't trying. Sat in the big room, the windows look dirty, place looks cold and unwelcoming. Workers seem to be indifferent. I saw 2 things on the menu I couldn't decide on. I asked the waitress which one I should get, and her answer was... everything on the menu is good. To me, that means nothing is really good when a waitress can't even pick something from the menu where they work! I wound up getting the scallops with pasta. The menu reads pasta of choice. I realized after she put our order in that she never asked me which type of pasta I wanted. I stopped her when she was walking by and she said it's assumed that if not stated you will get straight spaghetti. I would have been really miffed off with spaghetti, I changed it to penne. It was only okay. Some of the scallops tasted like they were on their way out, had a bit of an ammonia taste to them. read more

Read the bad reviews, but thought I should try it anyway. Parking is awful. Arrived at 5:30 pm and lot was full. Had to wait for someone to leave. First impression, menus were grimy and greasy. We both ordered salads and entree. Took 20 minutes to get salad, immediately followed by entree. Food was good, not great. Our server asked if we wanted anything else, we declined and she put the bill on the table and didn't removed our dirty plates. Thought that was inappropriate. Very loud also. Portions are big which seems to be popular here in the Poconos. read more

I'd like to give this place a better review considering that there aren't many options in the area, but the food we had was just not good. Upon walking in, Restaurant Sapore looks pretty much like a dive bar, so I probably shouldn't have ordered Italian despite this being an "Italian Restaurant." I ordered the Chicken Marsala and my girlfriend had the Chicken Francaise. The food came out on massive plates with portion sizes large enough to feed 2.5 people. Some might think that's a bargain, but you are not getting a deal when the food is this bad. Both dishes had overcooked pasta, sauce that tasted like it came out of a can (my girlfriend was pretty confident that they dumped some kind of Campbell's soup over her pasta and chicken), and the chicken was bland. There are a couple of positives, our waitress was friendly and the bread was warm and delicious. However, I cannot recommend an Italian restaurant with pasta dishes this terrible. read more

Came for the wings, stayed for the cheesesteak. I ordered Hot Garlic wings, crispy perfect heat and tons of fresh garlic. We also got an awesome cheese steak and a fresh anti-pasta salad. Friendly attentive waitress rounded out this place for a five star in my book. read more
