love perkins' consistently good diner food! and i'm lucky enough to live really close to here. the wait staff is so kind and friendly, food is always good and so cheap. it gets pretty crowded on a weekend but it's a chill time if you go in the evening!

We went to Perkins for desert and it was amazing!! The coconut cream pie was out of this world! The service was fast and friendly! Busy spot!

Perkins is a pretty good spot for a pretty good price if you're looking for some classic American breakfast choices! I decided to order some traditional morning foods like eggs, bacon, hash and toast but couldn't resist their pancakes too since the FOMO would get me if I didn't at least try them. The inside of the place is cozy, lots of booths and table seating for small and larger parties. The bakery section seemed a little small, but had so many pastries available to try. Oh, and If you're a sports fan, they even sell merch for various teams in different varieties and sizes right next to the bakery and register. Overall, had a pleasant experience here. My only gripes are that service was a tad slow and my breakfast meal looked nothing like the picture on the menu (portion and quantity wise) but otherwise had a good time!

I love this place. The best breakfast around and the best turkey platter. I used to come for the pot pie meal deal with a side salad and pie but they got rid of the pot pies sadly, but I started getting the turkey platter, and it's so delicious. The staff are really good and on point with service and they are friendly which is good too! I'd recommend coming in for a quick bite, or a slice of pie.

Perhaps it was just this particular Perkins, but it does seem that this franchise is a poor man's version of the ubiquitous IHOP. It was hard not to notice an immediate disappointment moving from the beautiful menu photos to the presentation on our plates. From proud to defeated, boisterously sensational to meekly fallen, the reality fell far from the mark. Not that the french toast platter and quesadillas were without taste, but that they were not nearly as grand as advertised. The brioche thick slices absorbed the egg/sugar/vanilla mix, but not quite enough to overcome its dry core. The crisp bacon was not so, and the deflated quesadillas were so thinly filled as to believe the promised steak was little more than tender shoe leather. True, the hall was crowded, the prices quite reasonable and the coffee topped off in a thermos pitcher on the table. Kenny's service was friendly, clever and accommodating, but could not overcome the the tools he was working with. Perkins appeared to be an anchor of this Grant Avenue neighborhood in Northeast Philly. It should do something to assure that it does not contribute further to its distress.

OMG! Why only 3stars?! It should be 5stars!!! My family just moved to Philadelphia , and we looking for breakfast place like countryside style that we always have with our previous state and we found it! We will come frequently and Erica was my server, she so sweet and nice, thanks so much!

Been along time since I've been to Perkins.. I've missed alot over time.. I have been impressed with their food for breakfast. About 15 to 20 breakfast specials. Every day. Comes with coffee. What I like hear. They bring the coffee in a thermos with an empty coffee mug. that you fill up the cup yourself.. something different than other places. but it does make it a lot easier on the server for when you need a cup of coffee you can just fill up again yourself. On weekday morning around 9am it's pretty packed... But that don't stop the great service and being seated with in 5 min of arriving.... I had eggs, potatoes, bacon, and toast and everything was very good. Parking is never a issue. Always plenty... I do wish their was more locations around. But won't stop me from coming to this one.

The inside is really modern and aesthetic, while still giving off a cozy cafe feel. Service was nothing crazy, but nothing bad either. The Yemenite Latte was a 4/10 for me. The flavor was spot on and tasted like milk with Yemeni spices and just a hint of espresso. I really wish the espresso came through more because I think that would've made it perfect. The Pistachio Sticky Bun was an 8/10 and definitely worth the hype. It was served warm and had the soft, pillowy texture of a cinnamon roll, but with a syrupy pistachio flavor. It practically melts in your mouth. The Grilled Cheese Jerusalem Bagel was basically a grilled cheese, but I loved the thin, slightly crisp shell and all the sesame seeds on the bagel. The cheese had almost a pimento cheese flavor, which I really liked. 9/10.

Our server Rachel was lovely and gave us a rundown of their specials and the menu's top hits. Our drink selections ranged from as boring as a Diet Coke to as fun as a seasonal lemonade. We were all content with our choices, though we puttered around making suggestions from their large drink menu. I typically go for a savory breakfast, but the stuffed brioche French toast was speaking to me. I can never turn down banana! The rest of our table ordered avocado toast (x2) and fried eggs with bacon. Everyone was really happy with their choices and an added bonus was that our food came out quickly. I insisted everyone at our table try a bite of my massive stuffed brioche French toast and the consensus was that it was ridiculously good. Though this spot is tiny, it is not to be missed.

Luckily, we found street parking right next to the restaurant, which was a nice surprise. When we arrived, the wait for a table of three was about 45 minutes. That's somewhat expected for a popular brunch spot on a weekend. Once seated, the service was prompt. Our waiter stopped by quickly with waters and took good care of us throughout the meal. I ordered the House Angus Burger with sweet potato fries. It was solid, flavorful, and definitely filling. My friend got the Bella Vista Omelet with home fries, and we both agreed that while the food was good, it felt like standard brunch fare rather than anything particularly memorable. Based on the long wait and the hype surrounding Sabrina's, I think we were expecting the food to really stand out. In my opinion, the dishes we tried were comparable to what you'd find at a quality chain brunch spot like First Watch. That's not necessarily a bad thing, the food was satisfying, but it didn't quite justify the lengthy wait. That said, the menu has plenty of more unique and creative options that we didn't try. I'd be open to coming back and ordering one of those specialty dishes next time. Overall, I left satisfied with the meal and service.

There's a grand staircase that walks down into an even bigger and more open area. Up first, was a $9 hot chocolate and a $23 Bluecoat (Dirty Martini with blue cheese olives). The martini was perfect, exactly how I like it with tiny slivers of ice shards. Second, I had a $30 Gold Espresso Martini with vodka. It was also perfect. Probably the prettiest espresso martini I've ever been served. The leaf design in your drink is pretty sweet. Tons of dates here, anniversaries, vacationers, and people super dressed up. Most certainly look your best if you decide to come. Next time I'm in Philly, I'll certainly be back!
