Love, love, love this place!! Staff are always helpful and friendly. You get through the lines quickly and the place is really clean! My go to is the all American- everything bagel toasted with bacon, egg and cheese. I also like the raisin bagel with cream cheese. My most recent visit- I came in with my mom after we went to her doctor appointment in the area. We were helped right away and the food came out hot and fresh. I definitely recommend this place for breakfast or lunch. They also have really good pumpkin muffins and pumpkin coffee. read more

Decent enough bagel and friendly service, but it is somewhat amazing that there is so much disparity between one Manhattan Bagel shop and another; this one on Bustleton Avenue in the Russian part of Northeast Philly landing on the lower end of the spectrum. Crust not as firm/crisp as others nearby, and far fewer roasted onion flakes attached. Still, more than adequate veggie cream cheese coverage within to help offset the shortcomings. Their coffee is strong and holds its own for a breakfast blend. Been sipping it for several hours and it hasn't turned bitter. Will certainly do until a real bakery shows up and turns out a Real McCoy bagel, that knows how to bathe well before baking. read more

I used to love Manhattan and lately, it has become a disgrace. I ordered two everything bagels, double toasted with cream cheese. First, one of the bagels was a whole wheat everything, very lightly toasted. Secondly, the other bagel was pretty much a plain bagel, hardly any everything and it was not even toasted (asked for double toasted). Neither bagel was what we asked for. I've decided that this will be my bagel place. I buy a half a dozen or dozen (split between cranberry and cinnamon raisin) and buy a tub of honey almond cream cheese. Absolute heaven! I slice half of them, wrap them in cling wrap and freeze them. The rest I keep in a brown paper bag, so I can enjoy toasted during the week. They toast very well! Straight from the bag or from the freezer. And if you want to treat yourself, get the Super Cinnamon Raisin bagel lightly toasted with the honey almond cream cheese. You'll feel like you're having a cinnamon roll for breakfast. I haven't tried the breakfast sandwiches yet, but I did notice a patron eating one and it looked well constructed. This place is TERRIBLE. I ordered a bagel toasted with pork roll and cream cheese and two hashbrowns. Got out to the car and only one hash brown. Ok, maybe she didn't Charge me for two. No big deal. Take out my sandwich and no cream cheese. I take it back in and they slap some cream cheese on the same bagel And give it back. I take one bite and almost break my teeth on the Pork roll. I enjoy going to this location, plenty of parking and the employees are always very friendly. Depending on the time of day the variety is less but the bagels are always fresh. There are always coupons in the value paks and sometimes in the local ads. My fav is the super cinnamon raisin bagel. And I always get a cup of coffee. Their coffee is just ok but it's not horrible. The only place in Somerton that has real breakfast sandwiches (aside from Diners) Way better than any fast food garbage. Downside is its a bit pricey but hell it beats cooking breakfast and cleaning dishes. Go with the freshly squeezed orange juice and avoid the muddy coffee at all costs. read more

i honestly don't see why this place has low reviews was in town and decided to stop by I absent mindedly walked out with out paying after receiving my order. I don't know where my head was this morning. I felt so bad I called and told them what happened they were nice enough to say oh you can just tell us what you got the next time you come in and pay for it then but I insisted on paying now since I didn't know when id be back in town. I would give this 3.5 stars if I could. I come here on a regular basis with my dad. It's quick and easy. I have a lot of appointments in the city for work and I live in Huntingdon valley so it's on the way. We are on time constraints to get to meetings and a lot times have to eat quickly and its better health wise than a lot of fast foods I normally always get thintastic bagels. These are bagels that are cut thinner and don't have as much breading/carbs. I get a sandwich out of it. My dad likes bacon and egg sandwich thintastic. I sometimes go with pepper turkey, sometimes white fish salad, sometimes just fresh turkey. They make the food within 5 minutes and my dad and I can eat really fast and are out within 15 minutes. It's a really convenient place to go and it's pretty good. I only gave it 3 stars but I would really do 3.5 because in all honesty it's nothing unbelievable, but it's solid. I leave 4 stars to very good and 5 to amazing. It's a solid place to go. I also like the macaroni as a side. read more

If you have never heard of Manhattan Bagel, they're a little bit more upscale than Dunkin Donuts, they specialize in bagels therefore have many different flavors. From French toast to multigrain. They are definitely a tad bit pricier than DD. However I have to say being that the quality of food is better as well as better tasting, it's worth the few extra $ ! My personal favorite year is the mushroom and asparagus breakfast sandwich on multigrain bagel with a cup of vanilla nut coffee. The steak egg and cheese, sausage egg and cheese, and lox are also good choices. Turn around time on food is fairly quick regardless if you are in store or ordering delivery. ( Last time I ordered delivery they got it to me in 20 mins!) All in all a nice little joint to have a quick sit down breakfast or pick up a bakers dozen for a Sunday morning. read more

No bang for your buck. I tried Manhattan bagel for the first time and I'm very disappointed. Though the staff was friendly and prompt, my bagel was disappointing. I ordered a garlic bagel which was basically a plain bagel since there was hardly any garlic on top. I ordered this with veggie cream cheese. Their food is excellent. I love the caramel caffe chiller... yum! Employees are friendly and efficient. They are always busy when I go in but the wait is fine for me... I really don't think it's too long. I'm also patient though. You can't blame them... that place is usually full when I go. I have preordered with Grubhub and greatly enjoyed my experience. I will definitely be back to this location. I have closer bagel places to me (like Dunkin Donuts) but I think their bagels are worth the drive. The only downfall with this location is nobody ever lets me turn in to the parking lot but that's not their fault (obviously). I'VE been coming here for years, almost always they mess up your orders, whether you ask for no tomato or no lettuce and you get it anyway or it's a complete different person's order, they are terrible!!! When you call and ask why the order is like that they will argue that you ordered it differently and will never agree with you as a customer, some of the most terrible customer service I've ever seen. Decent most of the time but they definitely have been slacking as of late. Asked for toasted well done and I can't even say for sure they toasted it at all seemed like it was heated in microwave for 10 seconds instead of being toasted.
