Hao and his team just completed an amazing flooring project in my home. He was truly responsible and easy to communicate with. I had two companies provide quotes for the job. The other company, Elephant Floors, came for a visit but then completely disappeared, no quote, no response. In contrast, Hao gave me a quote right away and even accompanied us to the store to help choose the flooring. His team, especially Henry, did an excellent job removing the old flooring, sanding the uneven concrete, and gluing down the new floor. My subfloor was damaged near my floor heater and HD flooring was able to replace the subfloor and install new hardwood flooring. Hao was SUCH a pleasure to work with on our small flooring project to change the carpet in our downstairs basement area to wood floors! I can't say enough good things about our experience. He responded promptly to my Yelp request for a quote, provided a site visit and written estimate the next day, and the new floors were installed that same week! I got 4 estimates from various flooring companies and while HD flooring wasn't the cheapest, Hao's estimate was the most detailed and the process was the most thoughtful. Hao and his team came to restore and refinish the wood-flooring of my home back in June 2024. The wood flooring was old, dated, and had decades of animal urine damage (including rotted wood in the closet). He removed and replaced all rotted wood, sanded and refinished the flooring, and installed matching base-boards to compliment the flooring to our specifications. His pricing was extremely fair. So happy that we got our new oak floor done, by Hao the owner operator and his co-worker, in less than 4 days. The room had carpet and the size is about 600 sf. Carpet and baseboard removal on day one, installing the new floor on the 2nd day, sanding and staining on the 3rd day. Then two coats of water-based Bona mega seal on the final day-which was all done in the morning. We chose 3 samples for Hao to put on the floor and we are so glad that we decided on Bona Heritage Brown to stain our new 4-inch red oak floor. The main reason that we stick with red oak is that we already have 2-inch red oak installed years ago all over the house. We will wait until our new kitchen and wet bar are installed then we will ask Hao to refinish the rest of the house with the same beautiful color. I am one happy customer here for sure. Hao Diep, the business owner, was very responsive in getting us an estimate. He came out on a Tuesday and we received his estimate via email the same day. He guarantees the estimate price for 30 days, but kept that estimate even though we didn't start the job for about 60 days. We felt that he listened to our requests and questions and was genuinely helpful. We had a recent floor refinishing that had left our house very dusty, so we requested that HD Flooring be very careful about tarping and clean-up. They did not disappoint! He and his three assistants tarped off the kitchen area so that very little dust got into the rest of the house. They were all courteous and respectful of our property. The refinishing of the kitchen floor was immaculate. There had been scratches in the floor where delivery people had moved the refrigerator without laying down any protective mats, but HD Flooring sanded and repaired that area so that they were no longer visible. Their job included the fridge alcove. They even repaired an area near the sink where the wood slats had a couple of significant splits in them. Now it looks like new boards. The whole job consisted of 3 coats and only took 2 days. Hao came back on the 3rd day to inspect the work with us and to answer any questions. HD Flooring gives a warranty to repair any problems within 6 months of the job. We were very happy with their work and would use them again without hesitation! read more
