The breakfast here is definitely worth it! The pricing for breakfast at Perry's is also very reasonable. I got two sunny side up eggs, with home fries and Taylor ham (pork roll). It also came with a side of toast. I don't know what brand of Taylor ham that they use but it was super good! It had such a great taste. My eggs were also cooked perfectly. The only thing I will say is that the home fries could have been cooked a little more. My food came out super fast but it was nice and hot. read more

Perry's Cafe & Deli is a family-run diner located on Pacific Ave. They are open every day from 7AM - 3PM. After looking over the menu, I found myself torn between breakfast and lunch. There were so many tempting options to choose from! I went with the 7 oz sirloin steak and eggs. It was decent, but nothing special. The steak was cooked medium instead of medium rare, and it lacked seasoning. My friend ordered the hot jumbo biscuit with homemade sausage gravy and the pastrami Reuben, both excellent picks. The gravy was some of the best I've had, and the pastrami on the Reuben was tender and full of flavor. My girlfriend and I had breakfast at Perry's before a day of shopping at the outlets. The place seemed to be pretty busy but there were plenty of tables so we were seated quickly. The menu is like your typical American diner, nothing crazy. Even though it was busy it seemed like the service was on the slower side. I got a sausage breakfast sandwich and my girlfriend got steak and eggs. Both of our entrees came with home fries. My sandwich was good; I feel like it's hard to mess up a standard breakfast sandwich. My girlfriend said her steak and eggs were decent too. The steak was a little overcooked but still seasoned well. I was not really a fan of their home fries and neither was my girlfriend. They were pretty dried out and not that flavorful. Prices are average. Food is average. I wouldn't say the place is dirty, but it didn't seem particularly clean. The decor and furnishing definitely looks dated. Nothing really wowed me, but it was good. We came here for breakfast while down in A.C. Parking is a little rough. You need to find parking on the side streets. Not a deal breaker though. Deceiving from the outside, one you get in, it's a very quaint little Cafe. Service was excellent and pretty quick. Despite being crowded, we were seated within a few minutes. The eggs and corned beef hash was very good. I had to try the chipped beef, as I've never had it before. Unfortunately, I was not impressed. That's why I went from 5 to 4 stars. Took a little weekend trip in AC and cane across this little Cafe/Deli. We came in early when there is not much people yet, they have amazing review so we gave it a try. Immediately was able to sat down in the booth when we came in. Our server came with menu and took our drinks. I got hot chocolate, it was yummy with not that sweet cream on top which was great. Okay, we started good. Then she took our order I had the Hungryman's Special. Nothing fancy just a typical American Breakfast. But OMG, first time trying this kind of sausage. It was flavorful not the same as other sausages thats salty. I could eat maybe 10 of this! We also tried their Corned beef breakfast and it was also flavorful. I forgot to take a solo picture of the pancake but it was MASSIVE! bigger than my head! Lol we took a lot pancake home. Servings are in a right portion except for a massive Pancake but hey! I will not complain! So if you come visit AC, give this place a try! We will definitely be coming back for this breakfast.... Especially that sausage!! Yum!! read more

I must say I left here sick. Because I ate so damn much. And it was too good to leave. Darn you Perry's. My father-in-law wanted to order the chipped beef. Apparently something he grew up eating. But he also wanted to order the biscuits and gravy. So I suggested we order one of each and share. My wife ordered the stuffed French Toast and my mother-in-law wanted to corned beef hash. All old time diner offerings and all were great. I will say the chipped beef was my favorite. The sausage gravy was very good too and I tasted the corned beef hash but I was already stuffed and we were all sharing. Ohhhh make it stop. Our waitress was on top of our coffee making sure that we always had a full cup. She was very pleasant and polite. Came in for breakfast on a weekday... they were hardly busy at all, there was only one other person eating in there when I went in. I waited a while to be seated while "Cindy" (I heard someone else call her name) was marking bills to ensure they were real and cash out a previous customer. Once she was done, she wasn't very friendly in grabbing a menu to get me seated. Once seated, the waitress that helped me was great... friendly, helpful, and attentive. The menu is decent and it appeared their special was biscuits with gravy. I ordered this with scambled eggs with cheese. The eggs were scrambled and cooked perfectly! The sausage gravy was quite nice! Biscuits were decent too. Overall, the food was tasty and fresh. The home fries they serve were bland and boring, good thing I asked for jalapeños with them, that made them taste a lot better. Cashing out meant dealing with Cindy again... what a mess! I'm not sure why she's there with everything else seems to work well, because she most definitely doesn't. The two reason for the poor rating - The dated, blah venue and the service provided by Cindy. The service provided by my server was great though. read more

Tried a little bit of everything - chorizo breakfast burrito with hash browns, biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs, and short stack of chocolate chip pancakes! The first thing I thought when pulling these out of the bag was whoa these portions are huge! Great size for the cost. I wanted to try more things but my stomach can only hold so much! The gravy from the biscuits and gravy was soooooo good and gave a good amount of biscuits. I also really liked the burrito! Every bite was a good one I didn't want to waste. Best hidden find here in AC. I found this restaurant about 5 years ago and it has now been a staple for our daily start of breakfast. It's just an 8 minute walk from Resorts casino. The food is always consistent and coffee is bold and flavorful. Wait staff is always very attentive. It takes less than 5 minutes to have your food arrive at your table steaming hot. I always get egg whites and they must use 4-5 just for the breakfast special. I tried their turkey bacon this time and it was amazing. I've never had thick almost slab-like slices which were cooked to perfection How they manage to keep their prices so low for such amazing food is beyond me. Keep up the great service. What a find! Perry's has a diner environment. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is clean. The scrambled eggs, bacon and home fries were cooked perfectly. The coffee was good and neither too weak nor too strong. Perry's is just a block off the Boardwalk, and worth the walk. We were in AC for a couple of days and had eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner in two of the bigger boardwalk hotels. Perry's dishes were as good, if not better, in both taste and appeal. And a much better value. Other people have discovered it also, because it was getting busy as were leaving in the late morning. Though the restaurant is small, the seating is not cramped. Atmosphere - I use google maps, it took us down Tennessee and tells you have arrived.  The map shows you are there, and all you see Howard Johnson's.  If you are on Pacific you would see that Perry's is their restaurant and visible on the south side of the building.  The diner is larger than I expected.  Standard setup, booths along the walls, tables in the center, and counter top seating looking towards the kitchen Food Coffee - Black please. Breakfast - I saw the sausage and gravy biscuit on the menu and knew I had to have it.  They call it the Hot Jumbo Biscuit, with a recommendation to add two eggs, which I did.  The gravy was thick with sausage and it was creamy.  Eggs over easy were perfect. Service - It was a rainy day so I dropped off my parents at the front door.  One of the ladies working this morning saw what I did for my parents. While parking the car my mom texted me.  You can park in the HoJo parking lot, and it is covered.  Bonus is you can walk through the hotel lobby into the restaurant.  Our waitress was fast friendly. I am torn as to what to say, which for me is a rare moment in time. Perry's has been in Atlantic City for a long time but this is my first visit because I was meeting someone for a lunch meeting. Have to say I liked the lunch vibe because this luncheonette said LOCAL and it was clearly not a casino polished eatery. Warm, comfortable and filled with friendly faces. I looked around and those eating truly reflected the city and to me that's a huge plus. While not telling high rollers to get out Perry's clearly does not comp those who enjoy spending their time watching a wheel with red and black numbers spin round and round. In face, Perry's seems like the kind of place where one can sit, talk and work without ever feeling rushed or uncomfortable. In fact that's just what we did. The service and welcome is what you'd expect from a neighborhood restaurant even though this place sits right on Pacific Avenue. Smiles for me and smiles right back at them. There were staff members laughing and the crew at the griddle seemed happy in their work; WOW happy workers making my lunch that's a really good thing. The menu is rather simple and there were only two specials. I spotted the chicken rabe wrap and I went MMMMM perfect. My dining partner eats her regularly so no check of the menu and it says something to me about a restaurant when friends call it one of their go to places ... My friend ordered and then I smiled and said "Chicken Rabe special." My waitress paused and said "let me check." Wait, it's only 1 o'clock and this is your special on the plain white paper insert ... YOUR SPECIAL not mine. Your menu not something I dreamed up. And, you know what ... no rabe. RABE WHERE DID YOU GO? Did someone open the larder door and the rabe ran away with the spoon? Disappointment I made a quick switch to the Chicken Souvlaki Wrap knowing that should be safe and it comes with chips. My friend loved her egg salad sandwich. Perfect! Service continued to be great. My sandwich was interesting because rather than the chicken being marinated in lemony oregano that one might expect in a chicken souvlaki, this chicken had been spiced with curry ... curry chicken with feta is a Chicken Souvlaki wrap. At first I wasn't happy but as I took bite after bite I smiled knowing I really enjoyed this sandwich. It worked for me ... it was filling and good and fresh. Now some might take points away and diminish the star but not me. If you don't want the casino rush and want to feel part of the town ... then stop by Perry's just be ready to discover that just like at home some items might not always be there when you want them. read more

Let's see how to start... As soon as we went in we noticed the place was packed with people - I'm guessing it must be good - regardless we got a table very quickly. The waiter was very quick to take our order. We both got orange juice & water. The orange juice had good taste, and the water was fine. My husband ordered the Hot Jumbo Biscuit - from the Chef's Specials - with some grits & eggs/bacon. I had the breakfast sandwich - I selected a bagel, 2 eggs, ham, & home fries. My husband stated that the grits were bland, as he ended up putting a lot of butter in it plus the egg & bacon, which made it a bit better. The biscuits were really good as the gravy was well seasoned. Me on the other hand, thought the home fries were very bland. Needless to say I had to bombard them with ketchup for them to acquire any taste. My bagel was not that bad, the egg by itself was tasteless, now, together in that combination was alright.
