    Turkey wrap

$10 for a freshly made sandwich and a bag of chips is a great deal in AC! Inside the Tropicana with friendly staff. I ordered a Turkey wrap to go. It was not the best wrap I've had, but based on the picture you can tell they load it up. Most importantly, you can't beat the price when in AC on the boardwalk! Great place to buy lunch from when at the beach. Fast service, clean facility and a spot I'd recommend.

The pastrami reuben sandwich was a bomb, thank you. Freshly made and delicious. Really enjoyed it. Everything is freshly made while you wait. Definitely will buy from them them again.

This deli was a great choice to pick up some quick food before we went to the beach. I ordered a make your sandwich option for about $10. Not terrible for a busy touristy hotel! I also ordered a Bloody Mary at the bar next to the deli. You have the option to get your drinks to-go as well.

Decent spot for a quick no frills sandwich. They aren't open late so it's more of a breakfast lunch joint

It was convenient to get breakfast and cols drinks to go on way to beach as one staying in the tropicana.

My craving has been answered? I asked one of the salesman if I could have one and they said sure. I took just a half sub (which actually turned out to be a 1/4 sub). It was magical. Exactly what I was craving. There was a business card taped to the cover on the tray. "Spanky and Son" I googled it and it was directly across the street from the showroom on the little side street between The Cadillac dealership and the Chevrolet dealership. I walked over to this little hole in the wall place...told them how good the sub was that I just had and ordered one to take home with me. The very nice woman behind the counter told me how everything is made fresh and that they have been there for 45 years!!!! Absolutely one of the best subs I have ever had and I grew up in South Jersey so there are plenty of good sub shops to compare it to and I'm not talking about Subway and Wawa. lol. I absolutely recommend Spanky and Son if you want not just a good sub, but a phenomenal one.

Unfortunately, the service really fell short. It took way too long just to be acknowledged. The hostess was friendly, but the big man behind the counter, looked right past me twice and took another customer's order before mine. Thankfully, a younger gentleman stepped in and took my order, which I appreciated. As for the food, the cheesesteak was very disappointing. It lacked seasoning completely, and the only thing that somewhat saved it was the extra ketchup I added. I couldn't even finish it there, I ended up taking it home and fixing it myself just to make it edible. Being a Philly native, I had higher expectations. The hoagies are actually good, but the cheesesteaks just don't live up to what you'd expect. Overall, not the worst experience, but definitely not one I'd rush back for.

Ordered the focaccia, both the whipped ricotta and the one with cheese, and their farro salad. All apps were great to start the meal. The chicken piccata was phenomenal. The chocolate Olive oil cake is huge, try to share with someone or you probably won't eat it all! Mario was our server and he was very friendly and had solid recommendations. 8/10 - I would go back!

The restaurant visually is stunning and beautiful. The service was ok and the food was mediocre. It was restaurant month in March 2026 and I opted to try the special price fixe menu. We ordered the chicken parmesan which was a let down as the cutlet was way too thick and the cutlet and sauce was lukewarm. The chicken was mushy and gave me the impression it was premade awhile ago. My wife had the grilled swordfish which was fantastic! Good smokey char and moist and flavorful. We also had the baked clams and arincini rice balls, the baked clams were a bit tough and chewy, but the rice balls were spectacular! The arincini were crispy and gooey and tasted perfect. For dessert we had the cannoli and tiramisu which were ok. So if this was kitchen stadium on the food network. I would have a problem giving him the win! Overall, not a terrible experience, but for the reputation and price point, I expected much better execution on these classic dishes. I might give it another try for the other menu items, but sadly with a heavy sigh, this visit was just okay.
