I had high hopes for Angeline especially when the owner is no other than Iron chef Michael Symon, but my recent visit left me a bit disappointed. The restaurant visually is stunning and beautiful. The service was ok and the food was mediocre. It was restaurant month in March 2026 and I opted to try the special price fixe menu. We ordered the chicken parmesan which was a let down as the cutlet was way too thick and the cutlet and sauce was lukewarm. The chicken was mushy and gave me the impression it was premade awhile ago. My wife had the grilled swordfish which was fantastic! Good smokey char and moist and flavorful. We also had the baked clams and arincini rice balls, the baked clams were a bit tough and chewy, but the rice balls were spectacular! The arincini were crispy and gooey and tasted perfect. For dessert we had the cannoli and tiramisu which were ok. So if this was kitchen stadium on the food network. I would have a problem giving him the win! Overall, not a terrible experience, but for the reputation and price point, I expected much better execution on these classic dishes. We have never been there and they were very accommodating to letting us come in earlier Our waiter, Dimitri was excellent. He gave us the cocktail menu along with the dinner menu. He explained some of the dishes to us, being our first time there. We ordered cocktails that were top shelf and you were able to taste the liquor. We were going to order baked clams, but we decided on the shrimp fritti. Just mouth watering. Lightly breaded fried with a delicate sauce. I ordered the eggplant parmigiana and it was dipped in flour and seasoning and pan fried. The sauce was light and very tasty. My husband ordered the fennel crusted pork chop in a mild red sauce topped with sausage and peppers. Extremely tasty. Between the drink, appetizer and our main dish there was more than enough food and we even took some home. He ignored us, was rude, ignorant our kids had to wait half hour for their drinks was not attentive, and we've eaten there in the past, but will not ever ever go back there again it's not even that the food is that spectacular that you have to go back the service alone from Mario ruined our whole experience in this place. Our waiter was ok, he let us know that the menu was a la carte -- fine and he gave us an iPad to look at the drinks -- also fine. I had a hard time navigating the iPad menu option so he helped us with that. I ordered a delicious glass of wine & my party ordered drinks as well. The menu is limited & pricy. We all ordered appetizers, entrees & side orders but after dinner we were all still hungry. Disappointed, we paid the bill & headed to the lower level & ate again. My suggestion for dining here is to order two of everything if you are really hungry. One dish just isn't enough. The food was ok. No one at our table loved their meal but it wasn't bad. I was staying at the Borgata for my birthday and decided to make a reservation at Angeline for my bday dinner. Upon entering the restaurant you automatically feel a comfortable date night type of vibe due to the lighting which was nice and the restaurant itself was full so we had a hunch I made the right choice for dinner. Our service was initially pretty slow but we didn't mind as much as we typically may have because we were having great conversation and taking our time making decisions on the menu. They offer a $59 PreFix dinner menu which was the way to go in my opinion given there was pretty nice selection of both appetizers and entrees to choose from. The complimentary bread and oil was amazing as were the cocktails (not pictured) they were ordered as we waited for our food. The appetizers were AMAZING with the polenta being my favorite appetizer and my chicken Parmesan with spaghetti was delightful and beyond filling (took over half home). My favorite from my meal overall was the spaghetti that came along with my chicken Parmesan because it was homemade, perfectly cooked and the sauce was well balanced. I would honestly go back just for the pasta. Dessert was the perfect cherry on top of the meal as we had the ricotta cheesecake and espresso martinis. Talk about the perfect way to end a meal ... the cheesecake was heavenly and the espresso martini was the best espresso martini I've ever had ! Our menu update consisted of " we have no specials only what is printed and no substitutes on pastas". Meatballs were very tasty but were not served hot. Veal Marsala was delicious, side of spaghetti was mushy. There were a few other small things our server could have been ​on top of if he was trained how to pay attention to the details and listen to his guests. Food was excellent, everything else, not so much. Waiter was not friendly. My mom and I ordered the same meal, the short rib pasta, it stated on the menu that it had chili flakes in it. My mom requested that hers not have any. When we got our meal they didn't know whose dish was whose but that didn't matter because there were no chili flakes anywhere even though my dish was supposed to have it. I asked the waiter and he said they were on it and seemed kind of miffed that I questioned it. He asked if I wanted more and stated the dish should not be spicy. I've been coming to Borgata now for years, but this was my first time dining at Angeline. We had dinner reservations for 7:30 pm on a Sunday night for my girlfriends birthday. After walking around the casino for a while we decided we would like to move our reservations up an hour. We stopped by the hostess stand and they adjusted our reservations without hesitation. 6:30 rolled around and both the bar and dining areas were busy. It was just the two of us and we were seated at a half circle booth for 5. It made seating a little awkward, but they were nice enough to accommodate our reservation change so it wasn't an issue. The lighting was nice and dim in the dining room which added to the dinner experience for the occasion. I started off with a Manhattan Figura, which was good, but I could've done without the chocolate bitters. She had an Aperol Spritz and asked for the Aperol to be light. I tried it and thought it was light and refreshing, a tad sweet though. The bread served with dinner was soft, warm, and the sesame seeds added great flavor. After some deliberation we decided to split the tasting board with came with an assortment of cheeses and Italian meats. It was also served with a perfectly toasted crostini that was warm and crisp on the outside but soft on the inside, perfect for spreading on the smooth and creamy ricotta that came with the tasting board. There were two other cheeses, one that my girlfriend loved that was on the stronger side, and a more mild cheese that I enjoyed. The italian chopped salad, which we ordered to share as well, was so good that I'd order it over and over again each time I come back in the future. Entree wise, we decided to split Wood Roasted Cod and Linguine with Clams. The pasta is made in house and was perfectly cooked, Al dente. There were 7 or so little neck clams along with some chopped clams mixed in. Breadcrumbs were sprinkled on top and added great texture and our waiter added lots of freshly grated Parmesan. The cod was light, firm, and flaky, and served over a bed of cauliflower. We enjoyed both of our entrees and were happy with our selections. We overall had a very good experience at Angeline. Staff was accommodating with our reservation request, the food was very good, and I thought the prices were fair especially considering the restaurant being in an Atlantic City casino. At times I struggled to hear our server as it was kind of noisy in the dining room and he spoke softly, thankfully my girlfriend didn't have issues with that. Our waitress, Stacey and all the staff were impeccable, which made our experience even better than expected. Our order consisted of ribeye steaks, spicy calamari, meatballs, tortellini, seafood spaghetti and garlic bread. Everything was delicious. The steaks were cooked and seasoned perfectly. Meatballs were a little dry but still good. The pastas tasted fresh and went well with the garlic bread. We weren't a fan of the calamari, misread it thinking it was fried, they were sautéed in red sauce. I will admit, it's very pricey for what it is but I'm glad it was a comped dinner. Had high expectations since Michael Symon's name was attached. He is (was) my favorite Iron Chef. I ordered the Rigatoni because I wanted the lobster and the "heat" a fra diavolo would bring, however, pasta, while homemade, came out lukewarm and for the price I paid the lobster on it was just an afterthought. Speaking of warm, that's what the fra diavolo delivered. My eyes cried not because of heat but because of disappointment. I thought that it would get better if I end with my favorite dessert, tiramisu. WRONG! It was so dense I thought my spoon would break. It had the consistency of something that sat in the freezer. No airy taste here. Husband wanted me to add that his halibut, while a nice portion, was a bit overcooked and dry. His vegetable sides were waterlogged, mushy and bland. I was so glad I did not listen to some the negative reviews about this amazing restaurant. We were first warmly greeted by Frank the manager. Our reservations were for 5:45,(we could not get anything earlier due to MGM's website being hacked few months ago and we had tickets for Sebastian Maniscalco at 7pm). We arrived at 5:15 and Frank happily got us a great table for two. Our waiter Patrick was one of the best we have ever experienced. He was polite, funny and very knowledgable about the menu. He made great suggestions on the food and wine, their wine selection is outstanding and they have half bottles which is great. My fiancé had the salad with sheri vinagrette and the cheese ravioli, I had the buratta with sweet and hot peppers and the ziti with mushrooms and cream. Everything was outstanding!
