Excellent! The same as it was before the pandemic. Friendly and attentive service, delicious and authentic food, cozy atmosphere. And quiet enough to actually have a conversation! The bread is delicious as ever! And the kabob melts in your mouth! Definitely a must!

OMG, let's just start off with how every bite from everything we ordered was heaven sent. All the flavors of each dish were delicious and tasted so authentic. Portions were perfect. Service was great, Amy was a sweet heart and very informative. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for authentic Persian cuisine.

I wasn't sure when I first walked in. The interior was dated. However the food was delicious. The hummus was hands down the best hummus I have ever had. I also had kabobs. It was all perfect. I am still being tantalized by looking at these pictures. The staff was on point as well. Very professional and proficient on the menu. I strongly recommend. **It says a lot if I repeat a visit to a restaurant in a place with abundant places to eat. I regularly eat at this place when I am remotely near Sandy Springs.

I stopped in on a Friday evening not knowing much about the place. A friend advised she had never eaten here, but heard it was good. I know, risky business! Upon walking in I loved the vibe. It's a very classic restaurant. The staff was friendly and helps me make a decision. I opted for the salmon kabobs. I placed my to go order and paid for my order at the bar. I was advised that it would take about 15-20 minutes to prepare. As such. I opted to wait outside on the bench at the entrance. I feel like it took them much longer than 20 minutes, but I can't confirm this because I am not certain of what time I placed the order. However, I must say it was worth the wait. The food was fresh, and there was a ton of it! I honestly ate off it for 3 servings! The salmon kabobs came with rice. Roasted veggies, a rendition of a side salad, and the freshest naan! The salmon was cooked to perfection. It was slightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The veggies were to die for. If you are a big rice eater you will love the amount they serve here. I honestly ended up tossing a large portion of it since I don't eat a ton of rice. I look forward to checking this place out again. Next time I will dine in and get the full experience!

My boss took me here. He loves Persian food. I had zero expectations. The food, the wine, and the drinks were so good, I was pleasantly surprised. It was empty considering we went 12pm for lunch, so I'd recommend here for authentic Persian food. I will go back to try another dish. They only thing I didn't like was the baklava. It was can't of dry and nutty, I guess I'm used to Whole Foods baklava's being gooey and sweet. Theirs wasn't that. But everything else was great.

I ordered a simple Bombay martini and one of the specialty cocktails for my wife. The bartender made my martini in a shaker and I remember hearing him asking someone else to stir it for him. For the next ten minutes or more, the bartender proceeded to make drinks for the waiters, I remember him spilling out two drinks and remaking them while my martini continued diluting in the melting Ice. Ten minutes or more later, he pours my martini into more of a champagne coup glass than a martini glass, and I waited another five minutes or more for my wife to get her drink. When I tasted the upmartini, It tasted so diluted, just bad, almost commical to me. I just laughed to myself because i've tended bar for a living and that was about the worst martini i've ever had in my life. Either Rumi is watering down his booze or the ice melted so much that there was barely a gin taste in the glass. I think their gig is rather than give you a real martini level pour they dilute you with so much melted Ice that you think you're getting a full pour martini, when, in fact, what you're getting is half gin and half melted ice. And believe ME, you are charged as though it was a real martini. The place was pretty busy, so a lot of people must not have a clue... or just like busy places. If everybody says, this is such a great place, I guess it's gotta be. Unfortunately, that's just Atlanta-if it's popular everyone just assumes it's good or pretends it is. I don't do well with pretend. Next after being seated at the table, i tried to order wine least expensive wines (so overpriced)-they were out of all of the lower-end overpriced wines I tried to order. It just bugs me to overpay so much for bottles of table wine. They're barely twenty dollars charging, 60-80 for them. But of course, ten minutes after I ordered the wine, this happened twice, the waiter told me they were out of the ones i was trying to order ( everyone must have had the same idea). Oh well. Right before the table was served the main course, the waiter and manager came to tell me that they had run out of the dish I ordered. I ended up replacing it with their duck dish that I had never heard of before but what the hell I'll try it (maybe I deserve it, because I remember my father always told me you never ordered duck in a strange restaurant you don't know) Everyone else at the table of 8 were served their meals ten minutes before my plate arrived. i'm like, please go ahead and start without me. Then, the duck arrives. I mean, if you're such a Rumi's, fan, try the duck and tell me what you think. First of all, it was lukewarm for something that apparently had just been made. The lukewarm duck comes 'in" this purple sauce, I mean, it wasn't even swimming in the purple sauce-It was submerged in the purple sauce. The waiter, of course, later brought me the wrong type of rice than the one i oredered..That's okay they brought me a new one right away. I was really starving at the time, but if I hadn't been, I don't think I would have eaten any of the duck. Being submerged in a kind of a sickening, putple sweet sauce it just wasn't appetizing at all. Challenge: if you're a big Rumi's fan, go ahead and please try the duck, but you have to try it like I did- lukewarm temptation. Then tell me if you remain an unconditionalRumi's fan. The bread is delicious though. To their credit when I tried to order 2 glasses of red wine after my meal was served, they did give us the vin de table for free. I won't be coming back here anytime soon.

For food, I have tried complimentary Sabzi plate, Zafron Special, Grilled Chicken Wings, Khoresh Badenjoon and Lubia Polo. I will describe them detailly below. 1. Sabzi: sliced tomatoes, sliced cucumbers, walnuts, herbs, feta. Served with perfectly baked Naan 2. Zafron Special: an interesting app with mashed eggplant, diced mango, chopped green onions, herbs, and chili oil. Had a refreshing heat and sweetness. Perhaps the spiciest dish I've ever had in Persian restaurants! 3. Wings: I have tried the wings in Delbar, Divan and Yalda before, but Zafron's were just next-level. Perfectly coated in Saffron marinade, nicely charred, amazingly crispy skin and juicy meat. The side sauce was sweet and slightly spicy, whcih paired well with the wings. 4. Khoresh Badenjoon: Basically beef, eggplant and tomato stew. Compared to the similar items in Rumi's, Delbar and Sufi's, this one has the boldest flavor. It does not have beans (so good for a FODMAP control diet) and used lots of dried limes and (whole) cardamoms, which created a very bright, sour base. Compared to Rumi's and Sufi's version, this one also had more, and larger chunks of beef, which gave more texture when you take a bite. The eggplant was delicious, but I wish it could be skin-on like the one in Delbar. 5. Lubia Polo: Basically green beans and diced beef cooked with rice. I only had Lubia Polo in Rumi's Sandy Springs before. In comparison, this one had more beef, and slightly less salty, but did not have as much tomato paste. **Note** the comparisons are only for the purpose of a clearer description of the dishes. For service, the waiting time for both food and check were reasonable, and the staff were all friendly. During my second visit my server gave me 0.5lb of baked naan and extra Sabzi when I asked for a to-go box for just the leftovers... For vibe, it was quieter than many other popular Persian restaurants (but I like more noise haha), and thus walk-ins are possible. The trees inside the restaurant were beautiful. In short, highly recommended. I will definitely visit again to discover more dishes!

Let's start of with how beautifully embellished the restaurant is. It's a refined fusion of modern elegance & old-world Persian heritage, that celebrates Persian hospitality & culture. You're greeted by the hostess that radiates warmth and geniality. Once seated you're gifted a complimentary starter Sabzi Plate that includes fresh herbs, feta cheese, walnuts, Castelvetrano olives, crunchy radish, and premium walnuts. It also comes with side of freshly baked Persian flatbread. We ordered a plethora of dishes. Our favorite plates were the hummus [we paired with the mushroom add on], lamb chops, and the Adas Polo rice. Trust me get the Adas Polo rice, it absolutely mouthwatering. As for beverages there is a variety of curated cocktails that we tasted but my top pick had to be the Tehran Mule! As for desserts our favorite was the Persian ice cream sandwich, it has unique flavors with rose being one of them. So good! For parking they offer a combination of valet services and validated garage parking depending on which location you go. The dress code is business casual. It's a perfect place for any accession, I definitely am planning on coming back to try more dishes. Take my word and come check it out! Your taste buds will thank you!

Reservations were honored even though my party wasn't fully together yet, which I appreciated. I was seated by the patio window -- nice view, and honestly a relief since it was warm out. Service started on a slightly odd note: I asked for ice and was told the water was chilled, as if that answered the question. The Orange Umbrella cocktail was billed as a margarita but didn't really compare, and a large ice block took up most of the glass -- made me wonder how much actual drink I was getting. The promised blue salt rim never showed up either. The crudité tray, a nice touch, didn't arrive until 15-20 minutes in (we'd already ordered). The bread service was just flatbread and butter -- a hummus or spread alongside would've rounded it out better. A feta with black sesame seeds was a nice addition, though. Food-wise, the eggplant and beef stew was genuinely good -- tagine-like, reminded me of something I'd make at home. The saffron potato rice was solid too. Since it was a belated birthday meal, they brought out a complimentary date cake with preserved orange and a small scoop of vanilla ice cream -- tasted like gingerbread, perfectly fine. The one real friction point: when the check came, the waiter pushed back on splitting it by what each of us actually ordered and insisted on splitting down the middle instead. I gave in just to move on, but it left a slightly sour note at the end. Valet redeemed things a bit -- quick and easy getting the car back, tipped $3 there (so $6 total on parking). For comparison, Del Bar in Inman Park is still my favorite Persian spot in Atlanta -- better execution, and I believe they comp parking. Rumi's is worth a try if you're in the area, but the overbearing service moments held it back from being great. Food: 4/5 -- Eggplant and beef stew was a standout; rice was solid; date cake was a nice complimentary touch. Drinks: 2/5 -- Orange Umbrella didn't deliver on the margarita comparison, oversized ice displaced the liquid, and the promised salt rim never showed. Service: 2.5/5 -- Reservation flexibility was a plus, but the ice/water exchange and the check-splitting pushback were real missteps. Ambiance/Seating: 3.5/5 -- Good window seat, though findability and signage outside were a struggle. Value: 3/5 -- Parking add-on and drink quality made the price feel less justified than it should. Valet: 4.5/5 -- Smooth, fast, best part of the whole visit. Overall: 3.5/5

It's in a shopping center so there's free parking. It's right off Roswell Road so you really can't miss it even though it is kinda off in the corner but it's still easy to find . They have a little outdoor area so you can actually sit outside if you wanted to be in the element and it's actually covered as well because it's right under the awning of the building so that's an option too. You come in and it's a large shop but it's not a lot. Most of the space there is going to be seating. You can look around and they have a little market area but the market area is very small. They do have particular specific items so you can check that out while you wait for your food. You can see the menus on the board and everybody there is super friendly and they'll explain anything to you. We had a pretty good short conversation while I waited. Love the customer service . Hummus - I tried the hummus and it was okay. Nothing crazy about it and it was just regular and not like it was roasted red pepper or garlic or anything like that but it was decent . Chicken shawarma wrap - the wrap was pretty good. It wasn't great but it was pretty good. It had a lot of color to it, meaning they were seasoning it for sure, but the flavor was only okay. The flavor was not popping out of your mouth but it was a decent but subtle flavor. It was super tender! Chicken kabob - the kebab plate came with two skewers and rice with a salad and it came with some garlic sauce as well. I think that the kebab was better than the shawarma to me. It had the same char flavor but mixed with the rice and the garlic sauce, it took it up another notch as well. You got a lot of it though so it wasn't like you only got two pieces of meat per skewer and a small handful of rice. You got a bed of rice so it was really good. The salad was low quality but I really didn't care about that because I didn't come for salad lol. Overall you paid maybe like $12 or $14 for this. It wasn't bad for a full plate . All in all it was a pretty decent experience. They're very customer-oriented and customer-friendly so you go in there, you will be fine. They'll take care of you

The interior is very mom and pop with soft lighting and old ceiling tiles but well maintained with an obvious attention to detail and care. You can squeeze maybe one bigger party inside if you really want. I snagged a lamb sandwich on recommendation; it comed your choice of a chopped salad, cup of soup, or rice. I ended up going with the soup of the day which is a curry chickpea. The lamb sandwich was a definite winner. There's a lot of care and that same attention to detail to constructing it. There was a 15ish minute wait but perfectly acceptable since it all came out fresh. The lamb slices were super juicy and flavorful and the sauce added that extra spicy but not too spicy kick that went well with the softness of the pita and the crunch of the fresh lettuce. The soup was piping hot so I had to wait a few minutes to let it cool but flavorful and smooth. I'd gotten it as a potential dip but the sandwich did'nt need it so I'd probably go with the chopped salad next time. Overall, Cafe Sababa does a lot of what I enjoy in Mediterranean. I'd definitely stop in again and try out more items on their menu if I was in the area. A very good first impression.
