Came here on a week night for a birthday. The place is in a weird strip but there is plenty of parking. We had a reservation because of how many of us there were, but that was definitely not needed. The service was decent, but you could tell they are still learning. The drinks weren't good so beware of that. The kashk bademjoon was probably the best thing from menu. Everything else felt like it was missing something. Not enough seasoning maybe? There's so much persian food in the city that tastes better so I'd recommend trying those out instead. Everything here is just average.

I enjoyed everything about Farsi. I got the chenjeh Kabob which was seasoned and flavorful. I enjoyed the salmon as well. The lamb shank was tender fall off the bone but it was not seasoned as much as I would like. The drink were really good my favorite was the garden drink it was made with matcha but it was really good. The service was amazing shout out to Alicia. There was not a long wait at all and there was plenty of free parking. This restaurant also services hookah. The vibes were nice I would definitely be back. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the menu collection it could have been more extensive to me which is what I'm used to as Mediterranean restaurants but I enjoyed my experience.

Visited here the other night on a whim and I will be back when I am dressed. Got here around 7 on a Friday and were the about the only ones there until another 35 mins or so, that's when ppl started coming in. They just started a happy hour from 4-6pm according to the pleasant Ashia (I'm wondering if I spelled her name correctly.) Happy Hour includes half off entrees, cocktails and hookah she believes. Will be back to check out happy hour and outdoor seating. The ambiance was lovely and so was the staff. The food was delicious and I'll be getting the lamb chops next time, my friend really enjoyed hers and that is her third time coming back for them. They've been here since the summer, give them a try!

"Hooka Smoke Lounge and Loud Club dining" Dropped into Farsi after reading glowing reviews on a Friday evening around 8pm for a Persian style bbq dinner. First impressions were good and confusing: I was expecting a restaurant to have dinner at and I entered into what looked like an urban chic loft with a blue LED lit dining room with blaring loud, electronic trance music on the speakers while observing two tables with guests smoking hookah! So not the dining experience I was expecting but I decided to stay anyway. The menu is quite limited but the bbq menu is similar to most Persian eataries and plates although they are priced on the very high side. The only reference to anything Persian with Farsi's decor is a carpet hung by the left end of the dining room. Patrons at the fully stocked bar appeared to be there for the cocktails as were the three other tables that had patrons smoking hooka and drinking. So this restaurant should be classified more as a smoking lounge bar than an eatery. The waitress attending to my order was very friendly and attentive. I started my order with the lentil soup ($8.99) which wasn't that great as it tasted liquidy and very watered down - although it was dowsed with olive oil garnish which was not needed; would definitely not order that again Next came the Shirazi salad ($7.99) which had a lovely presentation in the deep ceramic round plate but the diced onions, cucumbers and parsley dish had only a small slivering of tomatoes, lacked lemon, salt and pepper and was extremely oily from being refreshed with dollops of olive oil; having the ingredients swimming and taking laps in olive oil doesn't improve the freshness or taste of the diced ingredients! At my request, The very friendly waitress kindly brought lemon wedges and salt/pepper shakers and I opted, without success, to liven up my dish a little rather than complain... Next! The main course I picked was the broiled chicken breast cubes and Koobideh ground beef skewer combination ($31.99). It was very pricey for the portion received as it was served in a small rectangular olive plate. However, it was definitely very tasty and the highlight of the meal - the chicken was ultra tender and juicy; the small Amount of basmati rice, 1/2 grilled tomato wedge and the few slivers of sumac- spiced sliced red onions were great accompaniments to the amazing meat. So, given the clubby ambiance, smoke from the hooka, loud trance music and not so good, watered down and oily lentil soup, extremely oily Shirazi salad, terrific great meat platter albeit the small portion and pricey dinner plate - why is Farsi still getting 3 stars for this review? Well, I was pleasantly surprised by the sudden changing of the loud trance music to an Arabian music beat; dining room lights suddenly lit up like they should have been in the first place - and a super enthusiastic, traditionally dressed belly dancer showed up to entertain the few patrons in the dining room over 2 songs around 9:10pm. The belly dancer surprise, coupled with the restaurant's loft industrial decor, a nice very imposing chandelier in the middle of the dining room's ceiling and the juicy tender chicken of the main course platter saved the day! I won't be back anytime soon as there are dozens of Persian style eateries in Atlanta and I was definitely not looking for a discotheque/hooka smoking lounge to dine at. But; nonetheless; it was quite the experience and the belly dancer's 2 song show on this Friday early evening was a pleasant and welcome surprise that made Farsi not all that bad...OPA!!!! OPA!!!

Let's start with the food. It was really tasty. I enjoyed the kobideh and beef sirloin kebab. Everything was seasoned to perfection. My friends and I went on a Friday night and there was afrobeats playing. Loved the vibe I ordered the queen of Persia cocktail and it was a nice watermelon mix. The menu wasn't too much and straight to the point The waitress was lovely and the manager made sure we were taken care of. I will be back there Only con is that they charge 20% gratuity (I believe it's only for parties of four and above) Also I wish there were more side options likes veggies, potatoes or fries.

The experience here because of the awesome Dj and belly dancer was great! Every time i thought the belly dancer was done she would come back out with something new to share! The food was delicious! Drinks are great as well , our server was absolutely terrible and disrespected my friend ( birthday girl) but thankfully other servers and the manager stepped in to help! I don't believe in leaving a low star raring because of one server that couldn't fulfill her job i would definitely come back for the experience and food and just make sure i would be sat with a great sever !

The drinks, music, and entertainment were so amazin... My drunk butt tried to be a part of it!

Had an amazing time!!! Puoja was amazin!!! My birthday rosé, lamb chops, shrimp, watermelon salad, hummus, steak, and everydamnthing I tasted was full of flavor and beautifully presented! We'll definitely be back!!!

Most of the food items were really good! We always are on a hunt to find halal restaurants that have a good ambiance and decor, and they have a beautiful restaurant. The service was great, even though the server we got was most likely new. However, she still did a great job! Overall it was a great experience. Price was decent compared to the other Persian or Turkish restaurants we have been to. Really enjoyed our time. Will definitely go again. :)

Food was appetizing, & Chicken was juicy, service and environment was very pleasant. Don't go on a budget, we will definitely be returning Chicken Kabob

Then I ordered albaloo polo, à la carte koobideh kabob and Mast Khiyar. But my server forgot to place the order of the last dish. And it took over 40 minutes' wait to get my food. Worse, there was no diced cucumbers in the yogurt. Probably they mistook my order for Mast Musir which is yogurt with shallots. Worst of all, even if the restaurant says it accepts OpenTable dining credits, the dining credits actually could not be used in the restaurant! Or at least, the staff did not know how to use it. No apologies, no remedies. I was disappointed. For a reference, I dine in at Rumi's Kitchen (Colony Sq/Sandy Spring branch) at least twice a month.

Once seated you're gifted a complimentary starter Sabzi Plate that includes fresh herbs, feta cheese, walnuts, Castelvetrano olives, crunchy radish, and premium walnuts. I ordered a simple Bombay martini and one of the specialty cocktails for my wife. The bartender made my martini in a shaker and I remember hearing him asking someone else to stir it for him. For the next ten minutes or more, the bartender proceeded to make drinks for the waiters, I remember him spilling out two drinks and remaking them while my martini continued diluting in the melting Ice. Ten minutes or more later, he pours my martini into more of a champagne coup glass than a martini glass, and I waited another five minutes or more for my wife to get her drink. When I tasted the upmartini, It tasted so diluted, just bad, almost commical to me. I just laughed to myself because i've tended bar for a living and that was about the worst martini i've ever had in my life. Either Rumi is watering down his booze or the ice melted so much that there was barely a gin taste in the glass. I think their gig is rather than give you a real martini level pour they dilute you with so much melted Ice that you think you're getting a full pour martini, when, in fact, what you're getting is half gin and half melted ice. And believe ME, you are charged as though it was a real martini. The place was pretty busy, so a lot of people must not have a clue... or just like busy places. If everybody says, this is such a great place, I guess it's gotta be. Unfortunately, that's just Atlanta-if it's popular everyone just assumes it's good or pretends it is. I don't do well with pretend. Next after being seated at the table, i tried to order wine least expensive wines (so overpriced)-they were out of all of the lower-end overpriced wines I tried to order. It just bugs me to overpay so much for bottles of table wine. They're barely twenty dollars charging, 60-80 for them. But of course, ten minutes after I ordered the wine, this happened twice, the waiter told me they were out of the ones i was trying to order ( everyone must have had the same idea). Oh well. Right before the table was served the main course, the waiter and manager came to tell me that they had run out of the dish I ordered. I ended up replacing it with their duck dish that I had never heard of before but what the hell I'll try it (maybe I deserve it, because I remember my father always told me you never ordered duck in a strange restaurant you don't know) Everyone else at the table of 8 were served their meals ten minutes before my plate arrived. i'm like, please go ahead and start without me. Then, the duck arrives. I mean, if you're such a Rumi's, fan, try the duck and tell me what you think. First of all, it was lukewarm for something that apparently had just been made. The lukewarm duck comes 'in" this purple sauce, I mean, it wasn't even swimming in the purple sauce-It was submerged in the purple sauce. The waiter, of course, later brought me the wrong type of rice than the one i oredered..That's okay they brought me a new one right away. I was really starving at the time, but if I hadn't been, I don't think I would have eaten any of the duck. Being submerged in a kind of a sickening, putple sweet sauce it just wasn't appetizing at all. Challenge: if you're a big Rumi's fan, go ahead and please try the duck, but you have to try it like I did- lukewarm temptation. Then tell me if you remain an unconditionalRumi's fan. The bread is delicious though. To their credit when I tried to order 2 glasses of red wine after my meal was served, they did give us the vin de table for free. I won't be coming back here anytime soon.

The thing I honestly enjoyed most was the complimentary bread and sun-dried tomato dip, which has gotten a number of shoutouts of Yelp already. I would come back to this spot to get a handful of appetizers, eat that bread, and hang out for a few hours. It does seem like the restaurant needs more staffing.
