I had a taste for some Indian food so I decided to stop by on a Friday for lunch. I was greeted as soon as I entered. I told the waitress that I'd never been to this restaurant in person and I wanted to take my food to go. She left to grab a to go container. I walked the buffet but didn't see what I wanted to order. There was a guy that asked if everything was ok. I told him that I wanted Methi chicken and I didn't see it. He told me that I had to order it. I said that was fine. He took my order and told me to take a seat. He explained the situation to the waitress. He returned with tea and water. There are a variety of seating available between tables and booths. There are some nice decorations on the wall and TVs hanging with music playing. Since my order was cook to order it took about 20-30 minutes to come out. This place has four stars on Yelp and after a delivery experience, I think that's exactly the perfect rating! I'll start by saying everything was great with the delivery. Delivery driver was friendly and the food got here within an hour from ordering it. The restaurant has a huge menu so lots of options. I ordered butter naan and the chicken vindaloo. The portions are MASSIVE with respect to the vindaloo. The naan portion was standard. The naan was okay. It was a little chewy. The vindaloo was good, I think, but so extremely spicy I couldn't finish it and didn't enjoy it. That's probably a reflection of me and not of the restaurant. I like spicy food but this was just over the top, in my opinion. That being said, the food was beautiful and the portions were amazing and the chicken vindaloo is probably a huge hit if you like extremely spicy food. They have a seriously good buffet which is priced very fairly on weekdays. I typically don't eat enough to make an $18+ price point buffet worth it. The lunch buffets are very diverse and have great vegetarian and meat options. The seasoning and spice levels are also nice. This is clearly an authentic Indian place. Update time! I was in the area yesrerday (again) and was craving Indian (again). I figure I would give this place a try (again). Thankfully there were no delays today. The server was friendly and there was an Indian sister cooking in the back so I was excited. The reataurant was clean and the food station was set up nicely. They had a really nice selection of dishes on the lunch buffet -- half vegetarian options and half meat. Well, one type of meat... chicken. They had three rice dishes and tons of sauces. I tried a little bit of everything and I was very pleased with the food. Their meat options include chicken tika masala, chicken vindaloo, tandoori chicken, and green chicken. The winning dish? The GREEN CHICKEN. Whatever seasoning they had on the green chicken that made it that color was delicious and brought out the the full flavor of the chicken. Sooooo juicy and tender! I wish I had bucket of it right now!! Their dishes were well seasoned and the flavor profile was full of of complexity as they did not shy away from the spices. What made the dishes even better was the fact that they were SPICY right off of the buffet. It is appreciated that they did not hold back and try to cater to the normal Western palate. Thir hot tea (I assumed it was chai) was rich and earthy and completed the experience in the best of ways. On my way out, I spoke with an Indian lady who ordered take out. She said thaat this place is her favorite Indian restaurant because it tasted like home cooked meals. A few knocks. I know the tandoori chicken is supposed to be a little dry, but man, I wish it wasn't. The chicken tika masala was very juicy when it was hot, but when it cooled down, it was a little tough. Consistently spot on Indian food. We went to eat inside the few times, and each time we were taken care of immediately with great service. The quality and taste of their dishes is wonderful. This restaurant is very expensive for what it is. You aren't offered a drink but instead you're given a warm Kirkland water bottle at your table. I took my co workers here yesterday and they had never tried Indian cuisine. The food was NOT fresh in my opinion (my naan was literally as crispy as a rice cake) and there are no real descriptions of the dishes at the buffet. We were greeted by our server and by reading the menu we asked for the food recommendations. For lunch we decided to order Medhu Vada, Paneer Tikka Masala, Lacha Paratha, Persis Chicken Biryani and for drink we ordered Sweet Lassi. The service was good and we got our order in 10-15 mins. The lassi was good. The disappointment was paneer tikka masala. The gravy was thick and there were no edible masala. The biryani we ordered was recommended by the server that this is the best biryani of the restaurant but it was also okay. The food can be made better. read more

When the Friday lunch crowd arrived, the restaurant was slammed by noon. I swear half the IT department from TIAA showed up filling themselves from the tasty and varied buffet. It was so busy, one had to sort of form a line just to get in line in order to get your food. The delectable odors and colors and spices beckon to a culture an ocean away from my culinary upbringing. Intoxicating. I'm in. I layered my plate with vegetable biriyani, chicken tikka masala, tandoori chicken, fried fish, potatoes, and naan. I tried some other stuff, which I liked, but haven't a clue its name. I do like Indian cuisine even though I'm a self-avowed novice. I enjoyed everything I stuck in my pie hole. So good. The staff was efficient at seating everyone, serving drinks, restocking the buffet, and clearing tables. Too efficient I hate to say. Not just one, nor some, but all the workers moved effortlessly between each of these tasks without ever washing their hands or wearing proper gloves. I sat with a direct view into the kitchen observing this behavior repeat regularly during lunch. I also noticed their health score was a paltry 90.5. #crosscontamination. Ouch. They have good naan and my husband liked their goat. He always got the pepper goat at curry and cake and said the Persis equivalent was good. One Saturday after a doctor's appt. was irritated and on verge of hangry. Imagine my surprise upon walking in found they had a buffet lunch! After taking a look decided to stay. Get in line and grab what you'll need there are metal condiment cups, soup cups, dinner plates in two sizes and utensils. After talking to management figured out what I could eat that was gluten free (most of the buffet) and got busy. Wow, just wow. I had a very pleasant surprise at lunch today. I didn't expect this place to be this good. The employees were very eager to make sure I had a great dining experience. I can't wait to return. I walked in and was promptly greeted by a hostess who sat me and brought me water to the table. Lunchtime features a buffet with a grand sampling of the restaurant's menu. I asked the hostess to help me and another employee took me down the buffet line and explained to me what was vegetable and what was a chicken dish. He explained the sauces and such and made recommendations. Everything I tried was wonderful. The Tikki chicken over rice was my favorite dish and the naan bread was delicious. Delicious. I love they're chicken tikka masala here. It comes with white rice. Sometimes I like to order additional vegetable biryani rice and mix that too. This is a great spot for some indian food. They also serve buffet but we went late night so we were not able to get a taste of that. The selection is huge. They have many items in their menu and a good selection of imported and local beers. We ordered some briyani, dal, curry and some bread and the food was very well prepared. Also they will ask you for spice level if you are scared of the spicy indian food and i was amazed that they did pay attention to the required spice level from the customer. Lots of indian restaurant will serve everyone on the same spice level. The portion of the food is huge, one order of Briyani is good for two people even though how high and hungry you are. So make sure you do order enough food but not more than enough. The chilli idli is one of my fav appetizer with the beer so definitely recommended. Garlic Naan and Laccha paratha were another best with curry. I am big fan of lacchha paratha so i put them on test everytime any restaurant offers them and these guys know how to get that done. The servers were very nice and we highly appreciate their service even at these covid times, they got us settled nice and served the food in the proper manner. No delays on bringing the food and of course appetizer came earlier than the food. Lots of restaurants tend to forget the purpose of appetizer. Overall this is place has a nice ambience and the service was also dope. Only sadness for me was no paan, but there is always a next time. This was my first time really trying Indian food. I was surprised by how much I actually enjoyed it also being that it was buffet style and I usually do not go for that . The lunch special is very responsible , $10. The staff were very friendly and welcoming . I tried several items on the buffet but I did have to ask a few times what some stuff was lol.
