One thing in the South, you going to get some excellent breakfast!!!! This spot did not disappoint. I love a good biscuit. These are sooo good. I ordered and picked up, everyone was nice at pick up. I had to go with the famous food Network sandwhich, The squawking goat. This was a biscuit with perfectly seasoned fried chicken, topped with fried goat cheese and pepper jelly! Every bite was delicious. The fried goat cheese was fried perfect and when you bite into it, it oozed out. I loved the pepper jelly as well, it leaned more on the sweeter side but I didn't mind it all. We also tried the chicken waffles. Again very good. The waffle was seasoned nicely. I personally like my waffles harder, but could of been the drive back to house that softened it up. But the flavor was on point so was okay with it. The chicken like in my biscuit was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Tried their churro(iced) latte. Loved it, my mind was set on a super sweet drink BUT this was not at all, was a perfect blend and balance. We got a side of crispy potatoes, weren't a fan of these, no flavor and not really that crispy. But by time we ate everything else the potatoes were an after thought. Came here today for the first time. Was greeted and served by Kailani at the counter. She was very polite and helpful. I ordered the Sweet Grace waffle with strawberries, whipped cream and chocolate chips waffles, and also the Squawking Goat signature taco that comes with fried chicken, fresh goat cheese, eggs, and pepper jelly. Both were delicious. I particularly enjoy having waffles with lots of syrup and whipped cream so I requested more and they happily accommodated my request. It was also a very hot day so I requested ice in my fresh squeeze orange juice. Service was good and food was good. The manager, Haneef also came around to check on us and see if everything was to our liking. My husband mention something about his biscuit and Haneef was very apologetic and quick to respond with fixing the issue. I ordered the Five and Dime Biscuit with the Peach Berry Lemonade. The biscuit comes with a chicken strip, bacon, egg (cooked how you want it), and either sausage(what I got) or mushroom gravy. Is it messy? Yes. Is it good though? Yes! The peach berry lemonade was a definite star for me because it didn't have actual berries at the bottom and it wasn't an overwhelming flavor from both the peach and berry. We also got the chicken and waffles and they were great as well. The churro latte was fine, it wasn't my favorite, but it was still good for what it was. I have a few feelings regarding our visit. This was the first time we've ever been there. The food was very good. It came out hot and fresh. Plated well. Brought to our table after we had ordered it at the counter. The inside had a lot of seating options and they had an outdoor patio as well. The store was clean-ish. My star deduction comes from the pricing. It is HIGH for a chicken biscuit!! (As well as the beverages) I'm from Bojangles country and 12.00+ for a chicken biscuit even with egg and gravy on it hurts my heart. But I'll say it again, it was good. A regular soda is $3.49. No AC and miserably hot and sticky inside the restaurant. The parking lot was full and jammed with people trying to get in. It was chaotic. Inside the restaurant, the line moved very slowly, and the service to deliver food was even slower though it seemed there plenty of workers I could see in the kitchen. They were clearly benefitting from overflow of chaos at the Biscuitville down the street, but they seemed to be just as clueless in how to handle interest in their restaurant. The people that I interacted with were friendly, but there didn't seem to be any leadership handling the volume and giving direction during a very busy time. We opted to eat in our car which did have air conditioning, sadly lacking in the restaurant. Inside the seating area, there were many large communal dining tables that were not cleared which meant that no one wanted to sit at them. I am baffled at why restaurants do this communal large table approach. People really do not want to eat right next to total strangers and they tend to leave gaps between the seats when they are forced to use them ...which means that there is not enough seating and people leave. Just put in smaller two top tables that can be pushed together! Get a clue here! The food was mediocre at best. Biscuits were pasty and not hot, the sausage was dry and overcooked, though I actually prefer it well done. This was desiccated. The chicken was really good and perfectly cooked. Coffee was good. Drink cups were small and the lids were basically dribble glasses lids. Rethink those. Overall this experience was $33 for 3 biscuits with fillings, 2 drinks and a cup of grits which were flavorless. Served on real plates and real silver Lots of pre-ordered takeaways going out the door. My fiance and I checked out this spot with a friend of mine and had a nice time. We went on a Sunday and just missed the rush. I loved the customer service and the fact that they ask you your fav food and then use that for the name on your order. That was super cute and unique to hear them yelling out random food for people's orders. My name for the day was "sushi" lol. I ordered the Squawking Goat, which apparently was featured on Food Network (which is super cool). It's fried chicken, crispy goat cheese, pepper jelly. We've had several people tell us to try Maple Street Biscuit Co, and we finally had a chance to check them out during a recent visit to Charlotte! Our group of four met up for breakfast shortly after they opened, and the restaurant was already pretty busy. This must be a popular weekend spot! The service was great - they asked us a fun "question of the week" to identify our order rather than just asking for our name. All of our food was ready quickly as well, which is a plus when you're hungry! Our meals, however, really weren't anything special. I ordered the Power Bowl, which was pretty mid. Maybe that's my fault for not ordering a biscuit. However, my husband ordered the Sticky Maple biscuit and he didn't really love his food either. Maybe we visited on an off day ... or maybe we just didn't order right! Was our first time here and it was ok- but I wish the portion sizes were bigger. $10 for two pieces of bacon, an egg, a biscuit and hash browns the amount didn't seem like much. Overall meh- jelly was watery, chai latte was good, they didn't have the mocha one we wanted, and the bacon was floppy so overall it was not great. I was craving a breakfast sandwich so Maple Street seemed like the perfect place to try today. Overall I was pretty disappointed. It's set up as if it were fast food, but it took almost 25 minutes to get a sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit and some breakfast tacos. When our order came out, it was missing one of the three tacos. The manager gave us a refund so we only paid for one total. After this, I discovered my biscuit was missing the cheese. I didn't want the hassle to complain again so I ate it; it was good but would have been better with the cheese. I probably will not come back because it's just not a convenient experience. read more

My family and i stopped by Maple Street on July 5 around 9:30 am. We ordered sausage egg and cheese biscuits. I have been to several different maple streets before and we never had biscuits like that. The sausage tastes like it had been cooked the day before. Menus are located in a stand by the door. Once you know your order, walk up to the counter. There is a pick up area to the right. I ordered a retro biscuit plate. It came with eggs (made to order), bacon, smashbrowns and biscuit with jelly or gravy. I ordered a maple mocha latte. The maple mocha latte was too sweet for me, but that's ok. I'm sure it is perfect for the right person. I will get plain coffee in my next visit. It didn't take long at all to receive my order. I thought the breakfast was good. The bacon was fresh, the eggs were good. The biscuit was fluffy. The smashbrowns were interesting and they had a really nice flavor and texture. Overall, I would visit this location again. The last couple times were not great but we decided to give it another chance. Today it took 45 minutes for us to get our to-go order. Other people were experiencing a similar wait time. After hearing such good things about this place, I was finally able to stop by while on a road trip the other weekend. My friend and I shared the chocolate chip waffle and "the Farmer" biscuit sandwich so that we could try a few different items on their menu. I LOVED the waffle with the chocolate baked right in, especially paired with their authentic maple syrup (which is high praise coming from a Canadian who's had syrup right out of the maple tree!) Met an out of state friend here for breakfast & we were both pleasantly surprised. I can't believe I haven't been here sooner! I got the pecan-wood smoked bacon, smashbrowns, & a caramel toffee latte. The young lady who took our order was really sweet and attentive. She stated our orders back to us. The menu has so many good choices, it really was hard trying to decide (I wasn't extremely hungry at the time). We didn't wait long for our orders to arrive and everything was delicious. I was excited to order and try a few of their mimosas that was on their online menu for this location. When I arrived I was surprised at how limited the seating was - I'm noticing a trend that most NC restaurants are "cozy"... There were a few people ahead of us but the line moved quickly. While waiting in line I was looking over the menu and didn't see the mimosas on there, when I got to the cashier and asked about it, he told me that they don't have a liquor license and don't serve alcohol. When my order was taken I was asked to provide a place I would like to go/travel to rather than my name for them to call out once my order was ready - I thought that was really cute, it was neat hearing all the places in the world people wanted to travel to when they were called to get their food! I ordered; Biscuits and gravy with an egg over easy - It was cold when I got it, almost like they had it waiting till the rest of my order was ready so I did not enjoy it at all... My son had the chocolate chip waffle with, scrambled eggs and bacon - I tried a piece of the waffle and it was cold as well, but super yummy. Part of me felt like I should have ordered that for myself. I also ordered some fried green tomatoes - They were piping HOT! So it seems like while these were finishing up our other food items were just sitting around and got cold by the time they were served, it all made sense. But, I'd rather be served fresh hot food as it's ready vs all at once and some items not being hot or even warm for that matter. This is my third trip to Maple Street with each one coming in a different state. I'll say from FL to GA to NC they have been both good and consistent in terms of food and service. The GA visit was during a peak time of day where everyone was apparently sick of turkey after Thanksgiving as the place was slammed while the NC visit to this location was early lunch with very few customers. Got the same biscuit sandwich both times, the Five and Dime, which has the chicken tenders along with bacon, cheddar, cream gravy (I got sausage) and a fried egg. No surprise but it's very filling! Love that they ask how you want the egg prepared and it was perfectly over easy at both locations. They've expanded the menu since the early days in FL along with the states they operate in and my view is they are doing a great job on the consistency front. If you want some cheat day comfort food, or just comfort food in general Maple Street is a good choice IMO. read more

VERY IMPRESSED, breakfast here had special touches and reminded me a little of Asheville's "Biscuit Head" since they to had shitake mushroom gravy and delicious biscuits. Maple syrup was phenomenal. I loved their serve yourself coffee bar, which along with regular coffee offered maple coffee and maple coffee syrup along with cream and sugar. Loved it! My son got the "Squawking Goat", which he said was more on the sweeter side then he hoped for. It had buttered chicken strips , toasted goat cheese and sweet pepper jelly. I ordered "The Iron Goat" which was a delicious simple biscuit sandwich of goat cheese and sauteed spinach. I really really wanted to love this place, and I almost did except for small details about the food. This brunch spot has a lot of personality, it has a cozy ambiance and the staff are friendly (for the most part). There is plenty of seating available inside and outside, they have a few large tables to accommodate bigger parties if needed. Each table has a "community guidelines" notice letting guests know they should buss their own tables and be courteous of other patrons. They have a question of the month posted by the register and your answer is what they use to call out your order when it's ready which I thought was a fun idea. I was impressed by the variety of food/drink options available and I felt it was all very on-brand. We ordered the Cowboy and the Sticky Maple for food. My boyfriend was disappointed that the food didn't come out hot, and we both felt the gravy and the maple syrup on our respective plates was excessive. The Sticky Maple was already very sweet before my biscuit got soaked in the extra syrup on the plate. In the moment I thought everything tasted good, but afterwards we both had stomach aches :( We had a Maple Vanilla Latte and a Caramel Toffee Crunch Latte for drinks. We both enjoyed our coffees.
